Brian Pagliano plead the one two three four fiiiifth in the Judicial watch suit today.Nothing criminal happened tho.

He's pleading the 5th because he knows Ol' Hill would CRUCIFY him in order to shield herself if he testified against.

NPR talking about Trump this morning and some about ClintonOne of the media members (didn't catch who) raised the question that since philanthropy is now a campaign issue, and Trump's claim about donating millions to veteran groups was scrutinized so much, shouldn't we be applying similar scrutinity to the Clinton Foundation. I wonder if any media makes the Clinton Foundation a story
6/2/2016 11:49:15 AM
6/2/2016 12:05:36 PM
the transcript issue is dead, already covered and forgotten
6/2/2016 12:22:46 PM
transcripts are one thing but i was thinking of a possible quid pro quo scenario
6/2/2016 1:40:39 PM
and how do you propose we ask those questions of her? is the issue of paid speeches such a big deal that there should be congressional panels convened and the like? Do we need to open up a second FBI investigation to explore your curiosity concerning her paid speeches? also do you have any other ideas to drag your "hildabeast" through the mug prior to the general?
6/2/2016 1:52:43 PM
part of the FBI investigation is already about the involvement of the Clinton Foundation, also they were subpoenaed by the state departmenti'm just wondering if the media pivots off the trump donation to make any of if it a story[Edited on June 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Reason : .]

^^as someone who is real big on reforming campaign fiance laws i would think you would have reservations about someone who just got $153M from corporate america having such a large amount of power over their bottom lines
6/2/2016 2:11:41 PM
6/2/2016 2:11:54 PM
this new talking point about press conferences is among the dumbest
6/2/2016 2:26:51 PM
6/2/2016 2:32:35 PM
^^Clinton attacked Trump for how poorly he did at his press conference, and Clinton's senior spokesperson tweeted this:
6/2/2016 2:34:42 PM
6/2/2016 2:49:33 PM
Oh, they were serving in an elected office when they made paid speeches? Tell me more!
6/2/2016 3:05:02 PM

I am sure none of those companies expected her to be the eventual presidential nominee when they gave her that money.
6/2/2016 3:18:59 PM
6/2/2016 3:55:16 PM
no, they were talking about how he acted, and its relevant because the last comparison to clinton was awhile ago (which i think was one where she also got upset with the media)
6/2/2016 4:11:36 PM
again, the platform just happened to be a press conferencethat statement could be made about every other way Trump decides to get his message out there
6/2/2016 4:24:35 PM
Politico did some stories on the Clinton Foundation and Haiti I remember. But both were from 2015.http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/05/clinton-foundation-haiti-117368

6/3/2016 8:31:38 AM
i mean, its not unclear
6/3/2016 8:41:28 AM
I think you're overrating press conferences, especially press conferences during a campaign
6/3/2016 8:46:00 AM
so is your hangup whether or not an event is an official press conference? because that's not the issue, Clinton avoids press questions whether the event is called a press conference or something else. you are just totally missing the point and their counterpoint, i think because you have gotten stuck on the press conference technicality and they got called out on it[Edited on June 3, 2016 at 8:57 AM. I'm not going to give somebody credit for being an asshole and spewing vile under the guise of, "well at least he gave a press conference"if the person holding the press conference makes a mockery of said press conference, what's the point of giving them credit for having one?[Edited on June 3, 2016 at 9:08 AM. 6/3/2016 9:04:55 AM
so then yes, you totally missed the point
6/3/2016 9:07:59 AM
I don't think I haveyou gonna give him credit for calling into cable news on a daily basis too?
6/3/2016 9:10:53 AM
let me try to explain the point as simply as i can:nothing about this is giving donald trump any credit. donald trump acted like an idiot by getting mad at the media for looking into his claims about his donations to veterans. he gave a press conference in which he did not look presidential. clinton's campaign attacked him by saying "look at how he acted in this press conference, does this look like a president?" the reaction to this was basically "well, how presidential does clinton look? we can't compare because its been so long since she's been in the same position." which is a fair enough response because there are a couple "scandals" surrounding clinton that she hasn't responded to the press about yet. the last time she answered questions from the press on the issue was when she got a little frustrated and had the "like with a cloth?" commenttl;dr has nothing to do with if trump acted presidential, clinton campaign's tweet would have been much stronger if they followed his performance with a good one or had some other recent comparison
6/3/2016 9:23:34 AM
she gave a widely praised speech yesterdayand to my knowledge, hasn't taken away any press credentials would you give her credit if she said, "I'm not going to comment on an ongoing investigation" 50 times during a Q and A? because that's more than likely how it would go. [Edited on June 3, 2016 at 9:31 AM. Reason : .]
6/3/2016 9:25:40 AM
a speech. not a press event. she hasn't taken questions from the press.no, saying "no comment" would be an example of not being presidential because there are real questions she needs to answer which would undermine her campaigns criticism. she needs to come out and show a strong response to scrutiny [Edited on June 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Reason : also her speech yesterday was criticized for not actually being about foreign policy]
6/3/2016 9:58:13 AM
6/3/2016 10:05:52 AM
^^it was praised as being presidential, especially in contrast with everything that Trump is doing, which is what got us here in the first place[Edited on June 3, 2016 at 10:20 AM. Reason : .]
6/3/2016 10:11:45 AM
they get frozen out like other reporters, they travel separately from ClintonMarch 1 was a big deal because it was the first time she had taken questions from her very own press corp in something like 90 daysEDIT: posted before your edit[Edited on June 3, 2016 at 10:24 AM. Reason : .]
6/3/2016 10:19:28 AM
you're right about that, which is why I made the editthe point still being that her campaign made an effort to compare and contrast her to the person she will be running against in the general election
6/3/2016 10:21:36 AM
but not by showing her stand up to scrutiny, which is why they were criticized
6/3/2016 10:24:38 AM
she has 25 years of dealing with the press in a political contextit's fine to ask more of her (something I totally agree with), I just don't like comparing her hesitance in dealing with the media with Trump and his Trump-nessthat's allI also happen to think press conferences are silly and give you nothing 95% of the time, across all spectrums, but that's a whole other thing
6/3/2016 10:58:19 AM
anyone have the bernie talking points memo for tomorrow? the whole "doesn't talk to the press" thing from last week was pretty ineffective
6/6/2016 9:48:11 AM
isn't the press thing from your friends at r/the_donald?
6/6/2016 10:48:50 AM
Honestly, at least on Reddit, it's hard to separate the Bernie from the Trump supporters at this point. That's even spilled over to here with folks like Earl.
6/6/2016 10:56:21 AM
It's the same of FB for me.
6/6/2016 11:31:19 AM
^^very early on I stated that Trump and Berine supporters were only differentiated by the overt racism (but even Bernie supporters had their fair share with the attacks on Southern blacks voting for Clinton). it was a gross simplification, of course. but it's clear there is a vein running through the Sanders supporters that can go toe-to-toe with the vileness that is the hallmark of Trumpers. The guys over at Keepin it 1600 have made note of it on their podcast that some of the worst vitriol comes out of Bernie's faithful.[Edited on June 6, 2016 at 12:20 PM. Reason : .]
