Hope he goes to a good team that can continue to develop him into a great NBA player. Or he could go to the Horncats.

I'll appreciate today.
2/11/2014 9:15:25 PM
just an absolutely sick ball player.I wish we had him another couple of years.
2/11/2014 9:19:30 PM
34 points, 10 rebounds3-5 from three and a few nasty dunks.
2/11/2014 9:41:25 PM
I wish him the best in The League. It would be awesome for him to go beast mode and carry us to a sweet sixteen
2/11/2014 9:44:44 PM
Serious question -- is there anybody in the country you'd want ahead of him?Parker? McDermott? Smart? Tyler Ennis? I'd honestly take TJ over all those guys.
2/11/2014 10:44:46 PM
Warren is right up there with Doug McDermott and Kyle Anderson
2/11/2014 10:52:08 PM
That fast break two-handed dunk is sick.
2/11/2014 10:53:09 PM
mcdermott is the only guy you can make an argument for
2/11/2014 10:55:55 PM
I wish TJ averaged more than 0.9 assists per gameother than that, he's pretty great
2/11/2014 10:59:17 PM
2/11/2014 11:00:56 PM

2/11/2014 11:10:36 PM
I liked the Ralston steal and TJ dunk better.
2/11/2014 11:14:02 PM
TJ reminds me of Julius Hodge where once he gets in the lane he rarely misses shots around the basket. Both are forwards who are/were amazing finishers in the paint
2/11/2014 11:25:09 PM
I'd take Jabari over Warren
2/11/2014 11:43:24 PM
2/11/2014 11:49:12 PM
hes a freak. Better than Hodge at scoring although Hodge was a good assist man and played in a different system. Prolly the best player we've had since the late 80's/early 90's. Just sick.
2/12/2014 12:05:28 AM
Hodge was the ultimate leader. His heart was bigger than his talent -- even though he had a pretty good skill set. If he had a consistent jump shot, he would have been unstoppable.TJ is in another ballpark though. He's not as tenacious as Hodge was, but he's a much better scorer. He just makes it look so easy.
2/12/2014 12:22:28 AM
Yeah, definitely not saying Hodge was as good of a scorer than TJ because TJ is a better scorer and outside shooter than Hodge was. I am just saying once Hodge was in the paint he finished so well just like TJ does.
2/12/2014 12:38:32 AM
Should we get a Naismith campaign going?
2/12/2014 12:38:48 AM
Hodge was a righty that went left in the paint. TJ is a garbage man.
2/12/2014 2:44:46 AM
TJ's steal and jam was #10 on SportsCenter's Top 10. Nice.
2/12/2014 6:54:33 AM
2/12/2014 8:05:36 AM
I'd take Jabari because the media told me to.
2/12/2014 8:09:13 AM
its a shame we wasted his first year. he should have been the first option last year. anytime a guy is amongst the nations leaders in fg% it means he's not shooting enough.
2/12/2014 8:10:39 AM
Jordan Vandenberg leads the nation in FG%. Obviously he should be our first option on offense.
2/12/2014 9:12:51 AM
2/12/2014 9:13:20 AM
Hodge's defense and heart are the two things that still separate him from TJW, but #TonyBuckets is definitely closing the gap between the 24s. We could field a damn all star team with #24s. Hodge, Warren, Richter, Gugliotta, Burleson.[Edited on February 12, 2014 at 9:36 AM. Reason : All will be retired]
2/12/2014 9:36:11 AM
I was just looking at some mock drafts, and most have him at the very bottom of the first round and some not even a first rounder at all.Somebody's getting a steal if he goes that low
2/12/2014 9:46:51 AM
^^ I honestly don't remember Hodge's defense well enough after almost 10 years, but was he really that much better? I feel like Warren plays pretty solid D for a star and I'm pretty sure that his steals and rebounds are higher than Hodge's and I'd imagine they were pretty close on blocks, although stats don't tell you everything.
2/12/2014 2:42:08 PM
Hodge was a great facilitator. The offense ran through him and he averaged 5 assists per game as a senior. He was a ball-dominant SF, pretty much the opposite of Warren in that respect.
2/12/2014 3:01:13 PM
Hope he stays borderline 2nd round, keeping him another year would be amazing.
2/12/2014 4:31:23 PM
ESPN mock draft today had him late 1st round going to the Horncats
2/12/2014 4:54:43 PM

Found an interesting post on PP about TJ Warren vs Jamie Luckie
2/20/2014 2:14:14 PM
it's been a couple of years since I last looked at packpride, but didn't someone on there post a picture of Jamie Luckie all decked out in UNC gear at a restaurant or something?

Crazy that he has not won acc player of the week even once this year.

A few of the ACC beat people are admitting Warren may not be first teamer on their ballots. Notably Dukes who will surely have Parker AND Hood.
2/26/2014 12:34:47 PM
^That's fuckin ridiculous
2/26/2014 12:36:46 PM
The fact that its even a discussion is absurd.Hood should be second team. Warren does pretty much everything better except block shots.
