Geez, I guess if people really are that cowardly then that young girls' actions are commendable.

Of course, you can look at the guy and tell he's a douche bag. So, no surprise there.

Poor woman. I don't envy her for having to represent this bastard. Looks like death might be on the table too.

Although I really hate this "refusal to cooperate" crap just because he's following his attorney's advice.

The DA said they wont know for several weeks if they are pursuing the death penalty. There will be a separate hearing for that. I don't see why they wouldn't in this case.

LOOK WAT GUNS HAV DID!

Lets go ahead and start the NSBA just to get a jump on the lobbyists who will soon be outlawing spiked bats and boards with nails in them

what we need is stronger slingshot control laws

stones are too cheap and CHILDREN are around them every day.

Patricia Legarreta is a fucking idiot

^They caught him behind the theater with the weapons and is apartment was a death trap. If he doesn't get the death penalty no one should get it.

This motherfuckers house would have made Osama jealous.

I own guns, and don't think they should be banned, but i get so tired of this lame "agrument" against anti-gun folks.

Guns are made to kill, pure and simple. They can be used impulsevilly and they kill quickly. It's much, much, much easier to kill and wound a bunch of people in a room with a gun than with a "spiked bat". Again, i'm not against outlawing and guns, i just wish pro-gun nuts would quit using this silly "agrument", it doesn't prove anything.

they're made to eject projectiles at high velocity to kill. that's what they were orginially designed for, back in the very beginning. and it's still what they're designed for. plain and simple.

haha what would he do if he was cooperating? admit to everything, he is already fucked, he was caught on scene with the weapons, the only defense he could possibly have is insanity, but even then he did so much planning its gonna be hard to get that to work.

I dont think being insane is a good defense anyway, many people that are in prison are batshit crazy, its like if your sorta crazy you get the regular justice system, but if you crazy over a certain threshold you can use mental ilnees as a defense.

Either way hes a worthless piece of humanity, deserves to die, don't really care if he is crazy or not, good people have died for less.

Look, I just initiated the action of projecting this tiny thingamajig of lead from muh gun at a high rate of speed. If you managed to end up on the losing end of that peice of lead and got hurt... Well that's on you.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go about my business of using my gun to make my turkey club sandwich.

If he pleads guilty would he still be eligible for death? Most cases I have heard/read about, criminals who plead guilty end up getting life w/o parole.

^^^That's usually a part of a plea deal, and likely would not be offered in this case. If they want the death penalty, this strikes me as one that they will pursue with a vengeance. They aren't offering a plea in this one unless someone screws up big time in the investigation. (i.e. he was questioned without being read his rights or offered an attorney. Even then I'm not sure it's enough to try to avoid trial).

Haha, i've been doing aerospace instead of defense for a couple of years now. And to your question, yeah HF would be involved, but moreso on the safety, human interface, and maintainability side.

That does pretty much get at my point though. Missiles are funtionally designed to fly through the air and destroy the thing that it hits. Anyone that tells you different is lying to you. I guess they could be used to make turkey club sandwiches though...

killing him may not fix the massive problems he caused, but he still deserves it. and the argument against the death penalty bc it's expensive is complete bullshit. the same libs that call it expensive are the same ones wanting to keep him alive for twenty fucking years, "just in case he's innocent". bullets are ten cents.

The cost of litigation for death penalty cases typically exceeds the cost of litigation + Life without parole. Unless you're proposing vigilante justice, then you do have to consider the cost, even if this scumbag deserves death.

What that father/bf did is cowardly.

But that does not mean what that girl did for her friend is heroic. As someone said, that would be expected of a friend. But if the 2 girls were complete strangers, and that one girl instead of leaving stayed behind and helped the other one, then yes, that is heroism. Just like the guy who helped the woman and her kids (the woman left behind by her bf).

You are expected to help family and friends, but you are not expected to help strangers. Heroism is when you do something that is not required or expected in a situation such as that one (and if you didn't do it, you wouldn't be labeled a coward). I realize my definition won't cover every situation, but it is general enough to cover most.

Anyway, so when is the movie coming out? You know some studio is going to do it.

I realize that since this may not have been written about in a British tabloid yet that you may have not picked up on it, but Warner Bros. lost millions of dollars in revenue due to people being afraid to go to a theater in fear of a copycat crime

Seems like the best solution is to take him off of suicide watch and have the problem fix itself.

Also, his attorney is going to be upset he didn't tone down the crazy enough for this photo:
