She's clearly what we qualify as a predator. It's also evident she has bipolar disorder or something--she couldn't stop herself from smiling and laughing during court.

What would you tell your son if you found out he was banging a teacher at 17? Some of these teachers are only four or five years older than these students.

Something tells me the students end up being more traumatized by being interviewed by the cops, drug in to court to testify, and having the entire school know their personal business than they could be by doing something they can legally do in less than 12 months with another adult.

I agree that as long as they are the legal age in the state they are in then it should not be a crime resulting in jail time. The teacher should be fired and the student should be suspended for a while. When I was working at the grocery store while in college there were plenty of instances where older people in their late 30s were bwning younger people who had just turned 18 that were also working there. No one was arrested though because it wasn't a teacher/student situation. The age gap in those situations was even wider.

I'm oft amused by how these teachers don't exactly dress modestly for their trials, either.

Also, I'm really shocked about these 13 - 16yo kids are able getting with 24 to 34 year old women. I just can't imagine how that sort of attraction starts from the teachers end.

I know it has been discussed several times but I wonder if it is an increase in this sort of behavior (e.g. mounting evidence of a hyper-sexualized socialized society that's the result of certain things on tv or the internet) or is it something that has really always happened, meaning the 50 - 60yo middle school teachers I had were potentially sexing up kids my age back in the 1960's and 70's.
