He was singing the song during one of the commercial breaks where they check back in on them for a few seconds without them knowing.

Haha, I'll bite.

Sure these are both songs penned by teenage pop idols with no secondary education. McCartney actually talks about writing urbane lyrics in interviews, giving Penny Lane as an example of some of his earliest attempts at twisting simple phrases into something slightly more interesting, maybe even profound:
Quote :
"there is a barber showing photographs
Of every head he's had the pleasure to have known"

Friday makes no attempt to do this whatsoever. And even if both sets of lyrics are mundane, one song lacks the sing-song phrasing of a pleasant british lad.

But of course A Day in The Life is, in fact, two unfinished and mediocre song fragments weaved together. Pretty dumb stuff, really. So the juxtaposition adds some meaning, or perspective. But the real gem of the song is the bizarre cacophonic orchestration of George Martin. They payed an exorbitant amount of money for professional musicians to screw around for a while.

So yeah, both songs are really mostly the work of their respective producers, and less about the artists. And might I add, the production value on both is top notch.

[Edited on March 29, 2011 at 11:16 PM. Reason : Summary: Yeah the Beatles and Rebecca Black are pretty much on par]

"In an interview with The Sun, Black said that she is recording a new song called "LOL", which is considered for release as a single, and material for her debut album at Flying Pig Productions studio in Los Angeles.[15] She is currently working without a record deal. She also said that the album would contain songs with themes similar to that of "Friday", as she wants it to be "appropriate and clean.""

From Wikipedia.

So... She's a Real Life troll, right?

I say we tdub her. We find her, call her a "TROLL," call her a loser who is fucking fat and who will never get laid, remind her that she's a virgin whore, and top it off with some goatse. Then for good measure, we'll sick BubbleBobble on her.
