cleveland is trying to get rid of brady quinn reportedly, not sure what we could give up to get him, maybe a 4th or 3rd round pick
3/10/2010 3:34:25 PM
cleveland receivers did NOT help out Quinn at all. i mean literally could not CATCH a pass right in their hands.
3/10/2010 3:38:46 PM
looks like Jake maybe going to the Browns LOL
3/10/2010 8:15:16 PM
its like they want the shittiest quarterback they can find
3/10/2010 8:18:03 PM
haha i like how they make sure to refer to Delhomme as a Pro Bowl QB in both the headline and linkhttp://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2010/03/source_pro_bowl_quarterback_ja.htmlFUN TIMES IN CLEVELAND TODAY!CLEVE-LAND!COME ON DOWN TO CLEVELAND TOWN JAKE DELHOMMETHROW PICKS FOR A PISS POOR FRANCHISEENJOY GETTING BOOED BY PEOPLE IN DOG MASKSOHIO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE BOJANGLESMAYBE YOU CAN GET SPONSORED BY MUNCH BOXYEAH!]

we officially got Hudson, and some backup o-lineman
3/15/2010 3:54:36 PM
thought i'd share a message from deangelo
3/17/2010 2:01:47 PM
craziest move in panthers history? i guess he thought they drafted fiametta to backup hoover until he died or something?
3/17/2010 2:30:56 PM
panthers re-sign Brayton for a 3 year deal.
3/17/2010 2:51:09 PM
this will put us over the top!
3/17/2010 2:53:26 PM
can anybody say dynasty?
3/17/2010 2:56:44 PM
it would be cool if we actually tried to improve our team over the off season
3/17/2010 7:25:44 PM
^
3/17/2010 7:42:47 PM
yeah butour owner knows more about the upcoming CBA than any other owner in the league and he wants to win just as much as anybodyI think Big Cat has good reasons for what he is doing
3/17/2010 7:44:57 PM
The guy is 40 million under last year's cap and doesn't plan to sign anybodyI hope to God he has good reason for what he is doing because next year is going to be painful[Edited on March 18, 2010 at 1:05 AM. Reason : .]
3/18/2010 1:04:17 AM
fiametta sucks ass. hes so bad we were playing an undersized rb at fb last yearhoover is probably on his last legs and its better to release a player a year early than a year late but it still hurt. way more than losing jake or peppers did
3/18/2010 1:33:32 AM
^^The plan is to be the only team with any cap room if/when they reinstate the cap next year.
3/18/2010 6:12:43 AM
http://tinyurl.com/p2xa69espn insider article talking about Fox going to the Browns after this year...So that's why they picked up Delhomme someone post it.

Brandon Marshall to Panthers?http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5082365
4/13/2010 4:52:51 PM
Where do we come up with the 1st round pick that Denver wants in exchange since we don't have one?
4/13/2010 4:53:35 PM
Obviously, 2011's
4/13/2010 4:55:32 PM
What they want and what other teams will give them are two different things...That being said, I highly doubt the panthers even make a serious attempt to get him
4/13/2010 4:56:08 PM
This would go completely against their "not paying anyone a cent" philosophyBack to your regularly scheduled tanking....
4/13/2010 4:59:40 PM
As a lifelong Oakland A's fan, I am used to my teams having similar offseasons...that being said, the only difference here is the potential return of salary cap for NFL that will never happen in MLB.If only I had the same faith in Hurney as I do in Beane!
4/13/2010 5:32:18 PM
The only thing consistent about this franchise is that we alternate between mediocre years (7-9, 8-8) and good years (11-5, 12-4)we're due for a good year
4/13/2010 6:07:51 PM
4/13/2010 6:53:58 PM
Actually I think we will be pretty bad with no WR pickups and losing most of our veteran players
4/15/2010 12:37:38 PM
you know, we still have the draft and then a few more months to pick up said playersthis is a different offseason than most
4/15/2010 1:27:30 PM
Don't forget the panthers still have-The best RB tandem in the league-A really solid Oline-One of the most explosive WR's in the game-One of the best young tandem of LB's in the leagueEven without adding anything, the Panthers have a lot of pieces in place. Add a good WR, maybe a DT or two, and hope Matt Moore is the real deal ... could be a big year
4/15/2010 1:45:01 PM
Yeah we need to add one more explosive receiver, b/c im not sold on Dwayne Jarret from USC9atleast on what he can do NFL wise), and we need a 'solid' back-up QB in case (God-forbid) something happens to Matt Moore during the season, and one dominate, shut down Cornerback! Im glad to see Matt Moore finally get his change behind center!! GO PANTHERS!!
4/15/2010 1:56:43 PM
^^ love your optimism (seriously)but there is no way this team gets back to 8-8
4/15/2010 2:00:00 PM
I'd love to wager on that

I don't think schedules are even worth looking at this earlythings change WAY too much between seasons in the NFL to try and predict wins and losses in April
