9/20/2009 4:24:38 PM
Ehhh Jake we need more than 10 yards at a time.
9/20/2009 4:25:19 PM
padding stats now
9/20/2009 4:25:22 PM
The two minute drill ain't looking too bad. I wonder if Delhomme can reach the endzone on his upcoming hail mary try.
9/20/2009 4:25:30 PM

9/20/2009 4:27:25 PM
helluva gamejake DID bounce backour tackling looked improvedsucks that we are 0-2, let alone 0-2 in the NFC and 0-1 in the South but we looked a shitload better than last week
9/20/2009 4:27:51 PM
damn that woulduv been some real shit
9/20/2009 4:28:00 PM
made atlanta look awesome
9/20/2009 4:28:20 PM
^ Eh, I dunno. If anything Atlanta should've blown Carolina out.
9/20/2009 4:29:28 PM
sucks they cant review flags right?
9/20/2009 4:29:42 PM
^^^ I actually thought Atlanta didnt play that great of game... Passing offense was unstoppable but everyone knew that, but they held the running game in check and moved it against the defense. Haha, you act like Atlanta isnt one of the top teams in the NFL[Edited on September 20, 2009 at 4:30 PM. Reason : d]
9/20/2009 4:29:46 PM
and jarrett could've caught it had he been where he was supposed to bewho were they praying for at midfield?[Edited on September 20, 2009 at 4:31 PM. Reason : ]
9/20/2009 4:30:00 PM
Steve Smith is like "hey Mike, holla at me next year when I demand a trade."
9/20/2009 4:31:27 PM
^i was thinking the same thing
9/20/2009 4:31:41 PM
he's all like "yeah i'mma sell the house i just had built in charlotte and get atlanta to trade either ryan or turner for me since thats the only way atlanta's salary cap can afford my contract"making shit up about numbers]
9/20/2009 4:33:49 PM
or John Abraham...
9/20/2009 4:35:21 PM
Was smitty playing around? Either way last week was offense, this week special teams, next week....defense?
9/20/2009 7:17:09 PM
Defense was pretty poor today. This game was more what I expected to see. Defense was able to make a couple big plays, but really had trouble slowing down their attack until the 4th quarter. A lot of teams would have trouble doing that against Atlanta, though.
9/20/2009 7:18:51 PM
Good running game though.
9/20/2009 7:21:30 PM
no reason we couldnt beat the falcons in charlotte later in the year - we came close enough today. Have to win two from TB and one from ATL and NO if we are going to keep dancing.Seriously worried about NO at this point though...
9/20/2009 7:46:50 PM
seriously doubt our offense can keep up with the Saints' scoring
9/20/2009 7:48:48 PM
I want to earn $1 million for 2 tackles. Way to be a player Julius you suck
9/20/2009 8:05:01 PM
i love how people still think it was about the money
9/20/2009 9:20:50 PM
what do you mean?(sorry, didnt follow Panthers/Peppers stuff during the off season much)
9/20/2009 9:26:11 PM
he was tired of the system, wanted to go elsewhere...panthers franchise tag him so he can't, and that gave him some percentage more $$$ than either his salary last year, or the avg/highest salary for his position in the league? i dunno im sure i screwed something up in that, but in the end he gets more money than anyone because the panthers didnt want to let him go into FA
9/20/2009 10:01:38 PM
I think franchise tag gives the player the average of the top 5 players UNLESS the guy was already the highest paid player at his position in the previous year, which peppers was.So it costs like 20% more to tag him.
9/20/2009 10:06:50 PM
i'm curious as to the percentage of players who are successfully traded after having the tag slapped on them, since that's obviously what the panthers were trying to do
9/20/2009 10:11:26 PM
used to be fairly successful but Peppers only wanted to go to 4 teams and two of them were division rivals.
9/20/2009 10:34:07 PM
We couldve really used some classic drive ending Peppers sacks on Matt Ryan.... just cant seem to get the job done
9/20/2009 10:59:18 PM
we'll be 8-8 material in no time
9/21/2009 1:00:24 AM
9/21/2009 1:25:26 AM
I guess you could call this a bit of a "bounce back" game, especially for Delhomme, but we still look average at best. Worse than that, NO and ATL are already 2 games up on us in the division. I still have no idea why we're throwing the ball 41 times a game, that's just not what this team is built to do.

so with 0-3 staring us in the face, at what point do we all get that deep down feeling of just losing in hopes of getting rid of fox and delhomme and bringing in cowher? i say this now, because i know come monday i'll want nothing more than for pep to decapitate romo and win by 35.
9/23/2009 12:38:48 PM
no if you take delhomme out of the equation, even though he played like the old jake, then we have a good coach in FoxFox is good, disciplined, consistanti cant think of another coach that is available that would be a better fitone thing i think we need to change is getting our 3rd and 4th WR's involved more with short passesthat will open up the running and passing gameand get a better Tight End
