^^ Haha, yeah... I know that's him. The only reason I started to watch The Office was because I found out he was a writer for the show this past spring and that website -- specifically his JoeChat posts -- always made me laugh like crazy.

Him writing some episodes with Aziz Ansari acting is like comedic gold to me on P&R.

^ I gave up watching 30 Rock... I mean I laughed, but I just didn't care and I was overloading myself with too many shows to watch -- especially on Thursdays. I like to stick to 3 or 4 solid. Going to watch this and P&R now...

I like the awkwardness of the last episode. Feels like the office of old.

It would have been funnier (and more believable) if she maced him instead of kissing him. He was being a creep.

It did have that old 'god-it's-uncomfortable-to-watch-this-guy' feel to it though.

I give you South Park and Scrubs. House is arguably there, too.

Scrubs should have stopped at five or six.

What's great about South Park is that their characters have only aged once, yet have still developed more than other shows whose characters operate in real time.

I give you Seinfeld

The middle three seasons were the best

But the last three were far better than first three

Disagree. While this last season with the med school aspect was pretty meh, 7 and 8 were as good as one. Not as good as say season 4, but definitely good.

Haha. Good episode. Darrell had me rolling with his dead pan antics.

And the moris code was hilarious at the beginning.

I've really like the last four or so episodes... Especially the last two since Erin was barely in them. Actually the episodes since the baby stuff was put back in the background, I guess.

Loved a Dwight quasi A-story for once and Pam has gotten back to being non-annoying and more like herself IMO.

How many episodes are there left in the season? Two or three?

[Edited on May 7, 2010 at 8:14 AM. Reason : and it's cheesy but they are really trying to capitalize on craig robinson (i like him though)]

I feel like a terrible office fan for missing every episode since it started back up at the end of April. Just caught up tonight, and am waiting on tonight's episode to hit hulu. The Morse Code and Gym bits were awesome!

is it just me or did Steve Carrell look sickly in tonight's episode? He looked really painted up, almost like a ventriloquist dummy.

that being said, overall decent episode. I loved Pam's snarky comment with Erin "i was up all night with Cici or else i'd be running this show"

^^^ I think it's just him aging. In an interview he said he just wants to spend more time with his kids and man the cash register/stock shelves at the store he owns. Sounds like he is burned out and stressed, hence the sickly look.

Just watched it... Funniest part was Dwight trying to lower his sperm count. Rainn Wilson gets his ass kicked on this show more than anyone else, lol... oh and Ryan was funny, too.

Hilarious episode but I don't like how, over the course of the past couple of seasons, Michael has gone from a lovable loser to a totally unlikeable dick

Eh, I'm new to the show but when I started going back and re-watching I thought he was a dick from like the second episode. He's pretty harmless and naive, is all.

My wife and I no longer bother dvring this show.

After Pam and Jim got hitched, we basically consider it over.

Michael has always gone back and forth between a dick and loveable loser kind of character. I think the last 5 or so episodes have been one of the best stretches since Season 3 ended.

The unlikeable dick side of Michael was taken from the British version. Most of the silly shit is an American invention.

one of the best beginning skits, i'm a huge fan of the anti-toby skits, especially the one where he comes back from Costa Rica

One of my favorite moments from the whole series is when Michael told Dwight to take back Toby's Christmas bag.

Dwight quickly snatches it and Toby just gives a very resigned "Why?"

My favorite part about Michael has generally been his naive and innocent/unintentional racism.

Unfortunately, with so much corporate oversight this season, they haven't really been able to display that aspect of the character quite as much... if he did that in one of the current episodes, it wouldn't make sense as to why he isn't getting fired for it.

eh i was letdown. they built up this whole "who was the leak!?" investigation with Jo trying to dig out the traitor and exact some revenge and all but dropped the entire thing. I mean Jo and Michael weren't even present when the mole was uncovered. so what difference did it make? lame finale IMO.

I think every other season there has been some big Jim/Pam thing that they ended the season on, right? I guess it's a good thing they didn't go the whole cliched route and make one of them do something stupid and have a "is their relationship in trouble" bullshit story line.

I definitely think they could have resolved the printer thing better, but at least the last few episodes were office-themed, ensemble-like and pretty funny.

I was really annoyed by them trying to figure out who the leak was. What are they gonna do, fire them and make even more negative publicity for themselves?

Steve Carell has decided to pull a Shelly Long:

Quote :
"It looks like Dunder Mifflin will indeed be Scott-free this time next year.

Steve Carell is reaffirming his desire to leave The Office and his role as Michael Scott at the end of the hitcom’s upcoming seventh season. “I think [season] 7 will be my last year,” he told us over the weekend at the premiere of his new animated flick, Despicable Me. “I want to fulfill my contract. I think it’s a good time to move on.”"

Needless to say, I shout "HEY ITS TED DANSON!" 9 out of every 10 times it comes on tv.
