average # of ppl are answering questions at any given time?
3/24/2009 6:54:59 PM
First of all, stop using the Quick Links for non famous look-ups. they are garbage. Shit, I pretty much never use Quick Links for anythingFirst step is to look and see where the call originated from. Then go to White Pages and look up the name at that location. If you can't find it, then cite your White Pages look-up and give a bullshit response. Here is an exampe: Say someone sends you a question that says "Who is John Queefmeyster?"You notice the call came from San Antonio, TX. You check White Pages for John Queefmeyster and see no responses. Quote your search and answer with this:"I'm sorry, but I couldn't find a listing for John Queefmeyster. Can you give me some more information about him? ChaCha again!"Don't waste your time on that bullshit. If you can't find the answer on those types of questions, all ChaCha wants you to do is try to get more info to help the next guide find it.

You cant put someone on your team after the fact?
3/24/2009 7:01:30 PM

this sucks...b2b for about 1 minute, now it's just sporadic.
3/24/2009 7:21:26 PM
you should look at your categories, that's probably why they aren't back to back. I have each one maxed out with interests.
3/24/2009 7:23:51 PM
I am still b2b and they are all specialist now. NOICE.Seriously, you guys should check out the guide forums. they answer all these questions way better than I do
3/24/2009 7:24:38 PM
I read somewhere on the Guide Forum that you should never say "I'm sorry but I cannot find your answer.." thats why i was wondering dteternal.....
3/24/2009 7:35:04 PM
^ correct. you don't want to JUST respond with that. But it is acceptible to respond with that, as long as you make an attempt to lead the customer with questions that will help the next guide find the answer. And you never want to say "i can't find your answer", but rather word it as "there are no listings based on the information you provided" or something along those linesHave none of you ever worked in customer service?[Edited on March 24, 2009 at 7:42 PM. Reason : a]
3/24/2009 7:40:02 PM
kinda like say "How may I help you?" rather than "May I help you?"If you have to ask a question, phrase it such that it is more than a one word response.
3/24/2009 7:43:42 PM
and never make it your fault that you can't find the answer. turn it around on them. instead of "I can't find your answer", say "the information you provided is not enough for me to find the answer"
3/24/2009 7:46:36 PM
Just Got hired! Thanks DJ. How/What will your referral bonus be?
3/24/2009 10:11:23 PM
did you go through the application process awhile ago or is it still open? I hadnt even looked because I thought they had closed it up again
3/24/2009 10:24:55 PM
wassup JJ?
3/24/2009 10:25:11 PM
^^^ I get 10% of everything you get. It doesn't come out of your pay or anything, it is just a bonus that ChaCha pays me out of their pocket.
3/25/2009 8:31:47 AM
Could these people please send me a PM and let me know who you are on TWW. I would like to keep a list with your usernames so I know who is asking me what questions. Thanks

Got my QA Feedback complaints back today for the 2 70%s I received..."ChaCha is a business name and should be spelled with proper capitalization. Other variations such as chacha, CHACHA, or Cha-Cha are not recommended."I used "Cha Cha." Guess it was just a noob mistake

Just took the test to become a SMS guide, expeditor pay is HORRIBLE.
3/25/2009 9:34:55 PM
yeah, which is probably why the expeditors suck. I am about sick of getting hard ass medical questions show up in the "sexuality" category, so i only get paid $.10 for them.

3/26/2009 2:07:55 PM
It varies. I usually don't see mine until Friday
3/26/2009 3:02:01 PM
I ChaCha everything now
3/26/2009 3:11:19 PM
^ yay! have you tried ChaChaing your name? it can be pretty freaky. Just ChaCha "Tell me everything you know about [first and last name here]"
3/26/2009 3:56:21 PM
yea i kinda feel like ChaCha-ing random stuff now just to see what the guides say
3/26/2009 3:57:49 PM
^^ That just seems creepy. How much could they fit in a text anyways? And where would the information? I like how personable they are. My husband answers questions and he says they train yall to be more personable. It definitely helps! I always want to write back and say thanks but I know i'll probably not get the same person. So one of my friends just got accepted and every time she gets on it will tell her she has a question, she hits ok, and then the question never comes up and then it will tell her she took too long. What is wrong? I told her to clear her cache and cookies but she said it isn't changing?

^ I used to have to pay for all texts. Then they started coming out with text plans (similar to your voice minute plans) where you could get like 100-1000 a month both incoming and outgoing. In other words, if you texted someone and they texted you back, that counted as 2 texts against your plan. Then if you went over, you were charged. Now unlimited texting is pretty much the norm.[Edited on March 26, 2009 at 10:03 PM. Reason : a]

i had two questions today. the first was have you heard of tww? followed by whats the real name of the person with the user name djeternal. so fest up who up here sent it?
3/27/2009 3:40:43 AM
My QA... dumb mistakes. Should have read the tipsheets and forum. Got counted off for using definr or googlemaps the wrong link, or using a SERP (search engine results page). Also, got like 6 from saying just "Cha!" at the end of messages instead of "ChaCha."at 88... hopefully i'll be 95 next time...
3/27/2009 3:40:52 AM
^^^ wow what the hell. So if you got spam on your phone you'd have to pay for it to boot. I guess I'm spoiled on the plan I've had over here
3/27/2009 8:02:56 AM
LAME! I got two zero percents last night because the question didn't come up when i pressed send. It didn't seem to affect my score and it says "un-scoreable" under it as the reason.that sucks.

My official Rating History hasn't updated yet, but my rating for the current week is still at 100% after 206 searches.

3/27/2009 9:15:29 AM
I love the late night questions because you can usually tell that it's people out at the bars trying to settle a bet or something
3/27/2009 9:37:53 AM
Mine is at 98% for the week after 616 searches. Not bad i suppose. At least I'm improving every week since 2 weeks ago when I started.
3/27/2009 10:10:04 AM
dammit, 616 searches. why the hell didn't you use my as a referral?
3/27/2009 10:33:33 AM
^^ How much do you ChaCha? How many hours/day if you had to estimate?
3/27/2009 10:36:32 AM
My biggest week so far was 537 searches. But i just work here and there throughout the day. I'll sit in front of the TV and answer questions during commercial breaks usually. I start my new job a week from Monday so my numbers will go down drastically, that's why I am trying to blow it out this week.Like I said earlier in the thread, if you can do just 100 questions a day at an average of $.13 per question, that's $4745 extra per year. Not too shabby[Edited on March 27, 2009 at 10:50 AM. Reason : a]
