I'm curious to see where he lands. Winning at UNC-G was no small feat. I feel like the Cinci job turned into a shit show on him.

When he got hired they were in a mid-major conference and NIL had just become a thing. Then they jump into the Big12 in 23-24. They don't get a full media deal payout until 24-25. The next year, profit sharing becomes a thing and they're sitting on one of the smallest athletics budgets in the P4.

Or maybe he just isn't very good as a major college basketball coach. It happens. Never made the NCAA tournament at Cincy and only once had a conference record over .500

Sources say Will Wade has at most 3 years to win an NCAA championship after this season, so unless he over performs contract year, he is out by 2030

Holy crap, Capel's buyout would be 15mil this year. I guess between that and him having a big recruiting class coming in they decided it was worth giving it another year.

^ LOL, as long as he keeps making the tournament, I hope we give a lot more runway than that.
