i may be out $20someone told me about a theory tonight that says charlotte is nosebleedin' because she[theory spoiler]is too close to another version of herself, like in the scene with the rabbits from the random youtube video where the dr was worried about how close the two rabbits were to each other...
2/1/2009 9:34:15 AM
...interesting.... however, my theory is that when they were in the past, one of the guys that was killed by locke (or the guy whose neck widmore broke) was her grandfather or father... so therefore, she can't exist anymore in the present[Edited on February 1, 2009 at 9:42 AM. Reason : ya]

on the "professional" Lost-and-gone-forever blog, they are floating one theory that the time skippers could actually interact with the ship-wrecked Islanders in 2004, like right after they crashed. For example - there were some episodes in S1 and S2 where Locke was acting and said some really weird shit. It would be awesome if the Locke that said that was the time-skipping Locke, while the 2004 Locke was out hunting or something. It seems unlikely, but that would be cool if it happened. It would show the writer's have really planned it out since the beginning.
2/1/2009 10:12:33 PM
i may have missed the point of it completely, but in the first episode when Locke tells Walt he has a secret, i wonder if it was more than just "i used to be paralyzed but not i can walk again"
2/1/2009 10:48:40 PM
Son of a bitchI thought about this, that maybe we had already seen folks skipping through time and not known itI didn't want to bring it up for fear of being put under the damn cloud

it'd be interesting to see when/how they handle the switchesbut i did rewatch the episode where locke/boone find the hatch today, and it was very convenient that 1. they walked off on an unwarranted path2. locke threw the flashlight the way he did, where boone would drop it exactly where the hatch lid wasbut i don't actually think we'll see evidence of past timeline tampering with the castaways themselvesbut what do i know...
2/1/2009 11:59:29 PM
i don't really think that was intentional, so many little coincidental things like that have happened. i think if this was intentional it would've been less subtle or someone with completely unexplainable knowledge. Furthermore i think Locke is the only one who is crazy enough to not attempt to warn people if he came in contact with other losties of the past. If anyone does, i'd put my bets on Juliette because she would withhold information anyways - but in that case it wouldn't be any different than Juliette pre-time jumping not giving out information.I'm Big Business and i approved this message.

they do show the time-skippers going on a boatperhaps they're going to the research station

2/3/2009 10:32:37 PM
ok, the pilot was onand that scene where locke goes (with the camera all tight zoomed on him) "walt.............do you want to know a secret?"that shit made me think its POSSIBLE that we'll see some interloping
2/3/2009 10:36:54 PM
I don't know about the flashlight/hatch/Boone scene. There's something pretty fishy about the backgammon scene in the pilot for sure, though.Walt thought Locke was the hot shit. We can presume that's because Locke (for some reason) told Walt about his jumping through time and, just like Alpert and the Others, Walt thinks Locke is "special" even though it seems like he might not be after all.The only thing, though, is that in the backgammon scene Locke was wearing his in-flight clothes, not his jungle threads. How could that have happened?
2/4/2009 5:25:17 PM
b/c the secret he told walt is that he was paralyzed...
2/4/2009 5:28:00 PM
The point, BDubLS1, is that maybe that isn't all he told Walt.
2/4/2009 5:31:27 PM
maybe one of the time jumpers pulled jack into the woods after the crash, and thats why he woke up there so far away from everyone else in the pilot
2/4/2009 5:35:07 PM
