no way should we ever think about tying all that money up in someone like alexander when we have such needs in the secondary and at WR, OL, TE, DL
3/10/2008 7:10:55 AM
FINALLYDwayne Jarret makes an impact
3/11/2008 10:19:52 AM
3/11/2008 10:34:28 AM
well damn....might be suspended for the first game or two by the Panthers.
3/11/2008 10:42:39 AM
oh well, he might not have played the first game or two anyways...it is Dwayne Jarrett
3/11/2008 10:45:11 AM
honestly though...if you are an nfl player and play for the carolina panthers, you picked a good city to drive drunk in at least
3/11/2008 3:23:02 PM
hartwig got the ax
3/11/2008 9:07:31 PM
He needs to have a really good reason to be in Mint Hill at 3am when he lives off 521 near Marvin. Cant he just pull ass downtown and get a hotel room?

3/11/2008 9:46:37 PM
hartwig...i feel like i should know that name but he sucks bad so i dont
3/11/2008 10:23:44 PM
I remember when hartwig camde here the media said it was a great move. What was so wrong with him?if the panthers claim to be placing OL as top priority in the offseason, then thye have got to be more than considering a big FA or draft move....
3/11/2008 10:57:19 PM
hartwig hasnt been the same since his groin injury, kalil will be ready for the big time, and i think well go after shane olivea
3/11/2008 11:04:03 PM
cutting hartwig actually increased the cap hit the panthers take....so why not just keep him around for depth? Dumb move imo.
3/12/2008 8:28:12 AM
it costs us slightly against this years cap, but will help in the future, we are no where close to maxing out this years cap anyways, and it saves the panthers actual money even though it doest save vs the cap
3/12/2008 11:57:18 AM
I think Hartwig said he prefers to play center, so the Panthers did the right thing to let him go.
3/12/2008 12:00:19 PM
DJ Hackett visitshttp://www.charlotte.com/panthers/story/533185.htmllike i said
3/12/2008 12:36:41 PM
hopefully we snag him...and i really hope clady somehow falls to us in the draft
3/12/2008 12:41:41 PM
lol giants signed Carrfucking idiots
3/12/2008 4:39:24 PM
maybe he can score a glove contract up there in the big city
3/12/2008 4:40:31 PM
take over OJ's Isotoner deal
3/12/2008 4:43:13 PM
Coughlin or whoever is really really challenging the Giants, on some "ok you guys just beat one of the best teams ever to win the Superbowl...your next and greatest challenge so far: win another Superbowl....with David Carr on the roster"
3/12/2008 4:45:43 PM
i bet they are just filming a punk'd episode
3/12/2008 5:05:07 PM
Drew Carter to the raidersKnowing them, they probably gave him 35 millions for 4 yearsWe need Jarrett to sober up, Hackett to sign, or draft somebody decent now
3/12/2008 6:29:51 PM
when he drops his passes we should sue them for our copyrighted plays to get back at em
3/12/2008 6:32:19 PM
draft kelly outta okla.Profit[Edited on March 13, 2008 at 12:45 AM. Reason : 1]
3/13/2008 12:45:10 AM
I still am totally sketched out about our RB situation....I want to draft Jonathan Stewart from Oregon....
3/13/2008 12:37:04 PM
Unfortunately, both of our lines are in shambles at the moment. Unless we come up with some more free agents or another trade, don't expect us to draft any skill players in round 1 or 2.
3/13/2008 2:31:48 PM
man if we get our fucking 3rd running back in like 4 years i'm gonna be really disappointed
3/13/2008 10:28:48 PM
How are you sketched out about our RB's? Have you looked at our team as a whole?? RB seems to actually be a strength.I'd be worried about our safeties, d tackles, d ends, QUARTERBACK, and the entire offensive line ... but that's just me.
3/13/2008 10:34:49 PM
i dont know how you can be worried about the QB positionjake coming back full strength with moore as a solid #2
3/13/2008 10:36:29 PM
Are we sure Jake's coming back at full strength? I love Jake, and I know he's on course to recover, but the guy is barely throwing nerf footballs right now. My friend had Tommy John done, and said he realistically thought it would take Jake two years to recover. I'm hoping he's back, but I'll believe when I see him suit up.[Edited on March 13, 2008 at 10:42 PM. Reason : ]
3/13/2008 10:41:32 PM
is you're friend a professional athlete with the absolute best post-op care?
3/13/2008 10:46:06 PM
Its not like we're getting back an All Pro...Jake sucked cock most of the time when he was healthyEveryone's like "Oh yeah, Jakes coming back"Thats like the Bobcats thinking Adam Morrison will cure their woes next year
3/13/2008 10:51:23 PM
ok well as far as i am concerned, unless morrison gets to the nba finals and losses in a 7 game series, then him and jake aint even on the same planet
3/13/2008 10:52:50 PM
the blind squirrel has found the acorn
3/13/2008 10:53:43 PM
^^He was a pitcher in college, so he had trainers in place. Did he receive the type of treatment Jake is likely getting, of course not.And Jake wasn't ever all-pro material, but he didn't suck balls either. I always feel we have a chance to win with him in the game, as he seems to inspire the offense to play with more energy. He fucks up, but he also makes plays-- something Carr and Vinny never did.
3/13/2008 10:54:56 PM
you're an idiot if u were too blind to realize that jake was on his way to probably his best year statistically last year. look at his numbers up until he got hurt
3/13/2008 11:38:10 PM
he was literally on pace for like 45 touchdowns and 8 interceptions
3/13/2008 11:39:18 PM
I'm an idiot because I didn't take a 3 game sample and project it to a whole seasonWow, Im stupid...theres no way he wouldn't have kept that pace up!
3/13/2008 11:50:37 PM
oh snap !
3/17/2008 10:12:00 AM
who does Denver have that would make a trade worth it? maybe their first round pick?
3/17/2008 10:21:09 AM
travis henry and a first rounder come to mind
3/17/2008 10:34:47 AM
I don't think Henry's fathered a kid in NC yet so he's probably all for the move, trying to have 10 kids in 10 states
3/17/2008 10:36:48 AM
I'd like that trade, but I doubt the panthers would want someone like henry....1st and 3rd maybe?
3/17/2008 11:17:19 AM
a denver running back is a sucker's bet, unless his name is clinton or opposing defenses will agree to only breathe through straws for the duration of the game[Edited on March 17, 2008 at 11:27 AM. Reason : .]
3/17/2008 11:27:02 AM
Panthers agreed to terms with WR D.J. Hackett on a two-year, $3.5 million contract, according to Scout.com's Adam Caplan.http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL
3/17/2008 11:48:22 AM
^nice
3/17/2008 12:00:02 PM
I wouldn't trade Peppers for anything less than one 1st and 2nd round picks, especially considering Denver's draft position.
3/17/2008 12:21:33 PM
I wouldn't mind Brandon Marshall and Selvin Young but I also expect Peppers to have a good season since this is a contract year, and every other season except last season, he put up pretty good numbers, regardless of if he gave it his all every week
3/17/2008 12:24:01 PM
goddammit. another fucking bad move for us.
