damn what a great game......but there are way more of these than people simonn think.

lol at shaq... classic. [Edited on February 20, 2008 at 11:30 PM. Reason : good night raja...]
2/20/2008 11:29:52 PM
yeah...a shaq elbow is probably gonna put you out[Edited on February 20, 2008 at 11:34 PM. Reason : that was a hell of a lump]
2/20/2008 11:31:48 PM
wow...that hurt [Edited on February 20, 2008 at 11:34 PM. Reason : my goodness, that knot on his head is brutal]
2/20/2008 11:32:07 PM
that knot will be like a baseball by morning
2/20/2008 11:34:24 PM
you think it'll swell up rahman style?
2/20/2008 11:35:07 PM
gotta give it to shaq for his effort tonight...hopefully it sticks around for a bit
2/20/2008 11:36:24 PM
damn. This is the most intense I've felt about an NBA game since the playoffs last year. I'm pleased with Shaq's debut so far. I think it will work. I can't make a real decision based on one game. I dont' think he's slowed them. You can see where his presence helped protect the basket and rebounding but I'm sure marion was missedThe free throw shooting is killer. hopefully he can shoot at least 50 percent from the line.
2/20/2008 11:39:30 PM
the story was supposed to be shaq but I'm walking away from this game thinking "Kobe is even better than I thought"
2/20/2008 11:41:17 PM
yay lakers
2/20/2008 11:44:03 PM
imagine once they get Bynum back
2/20/2008 11:44:04 PM
you shouldn't be allowed to be this good at something/kobe[Edited on February 20, 2008 at 11:46 PM. Reason : ]
2/20/2008 11:44:47 PM
Every game in the West for the rest of the year will be like thisMaybe not this good, but pretty fucking good.Be like me and tree and get LP immediately.
2/20/2008 11:47:57 PM
how awesome would it be to have the season tickets right beside the bench and the scorers table...its like there on the bench
2/20/2008 11:48:14 PM
^^ channelsurfing.netWhen I'm home I can catch any game..[Edited on February 20, 2008 at 11:49 PM. Reason : warriors got a new anchor chick... decently cute...]
2/20/2008 11:49:09 PM
Damn I missed her...all I got was that recycling commercial with Richard Karn
2/20/2008 11:56:40 PM
damn, when they show these highlights the game seems even more exciting. There were a lot of really good plays int his game.
2/20/2008 11:57:31 PM
Damn, I feel asleep in the 4th quarter of Boston/Golden StateI knew it was going to be a crazy finish too...can't wait till March 5th when Baron comes to the QC
2/21/2008 8:42:55 AM
Suns rumored to be looking at Artest. Don't know who they would give up though. Maybe a combination of Diaw and some other players.
2/21/2008 9:17:38 AM
Nights like last night are what the NBA is ALL ABOUT!!!KOBE IS THE BEST THERE IS RIGHT NOW!!
2/21/2008 11:42:55 AM
2/21/2008 2:21:09 PM
I'm sure Artest doesn't end up in PHX, but he would be an even better fit than Marion. He is basically the same player as Marion except he is better at guarding larger defenders. He's a better post player. Marion is a better rebounder. Ok i'm done rambling, but the thought of that trade just had my wheels turning
2/21/2008 2:39:09 PM
fuck yes!Ced Simmons is a Bull!
2/21/2008 4:16:35 PM
Huge deal for the Cavs. SOMEONE TOOK HUGHES CONTRACT
2/21/2008 4:33:13 PM
Wallace, Szczerbiak, Seattle point guard Delonte West, Chicago's Joe Smith and a future second-round pick from the Bulls.Lebron says....meh
2/21/2008 4:33:30 PM
Not true. He gets shooters and bolsters the interior D. They got rid of Hughes and resolved needs without having to trade Gibson.[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 4:37 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 4:37:19 PM
I think this is a great trade for the Cavs...considering they really had NOTHING to offer anyone. The Sonics got nothing out of this except for getting rid of Wally's contract. The Cavs needed a shooter, and they got one in Wally. Hughes has been a ridiculous disappointment for them (although recent 40-pt game was nice...that's about all he's done this year and last year). But Hughes was a decent ball-handler, but I think they replace that with West. So in all...that's a pretty good improvement. It kinda sucks that they lost Gooden, but I think he's failed to become they player that they thought he would be. He kind of plateaued a couple years ago and has settled into being just a good role player. I personally think Wallace sucks, but maybe this trade will rejuvenate him and he and Varejo (when healthy) will provide a formidable interior defense and rebounding tandem. And I think Joe Smith is just as effective as Gooden is on the offensive side.It might not be a blockbuster trade...but I definitely think the Cavs are vastly improved by this trade and should compete in the East to make it in the Finals (before this trade, I think there is no way they get by the Celtics or Pistons...this trade gives them a chance).
2/21/2008 4:41:39 PM
Yeah I'm sure he's bouncing off the fucking walls right nowA washed up undersized center, a shooter who couldn't get along with KG, and assorted spare partsEither way, they still don't make it past the second roundNo matter what the Cavs did, it was still gonna be Detroit vs Boston in the ECF
2/21/2008 4:44:39 PM
2/21/2008 4:45:18 PM
he wasn't the same since he shaved the other 4 percent of his head[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 4:46 PM. Reason : Remember, Wallace's contract sucks too...2 years and over 30 million left]
2/21/2008 4:46:02 PM
he seemed like he'd be good playing like 12 minutes per game, just coming in and hustling on the o-boards like jared dudley or somebody, but he was playing 30 minutes a game
2/21/2008 4:46:52 PM
^^That too. Non-NBA fans don't understand contracts in regards to trades. It took me an hour to explain the Devon George fiasco to my roommate...as well as putting in players like Van Horn and Aaron McKie into trades. Shit was...I was a little confused myself.
2/21/2008 4:48:07 PM
Expiring contracts in the NBA are worth their weight in goldIt doesn't work in baseball because you get draft picks when someone signs your guys and in football you can just cut a motherfucker whenever you feel like it
2/21/2008 4:50:20 PM
I'd take Ben Wallace over Drew Gooden any day...they've already got a big who can score (Zdrunas)...every team could use a Ben Wallace
2/21/2008 4:50:45 PM
2/21/2008 4:52:36 PM
^^Absolutely. Im wondering if Joe Smith can do anything with LBJ getting him the ball. That would just be a bonus. I think Shannon Brown could potentially be a good player. Hughes will fit much better in Chicago's System.[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 4:54 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 4:54:05 PM
I'd much rather have Gooden for the next two years at 15 million than Wallace for the next two at 30Anybody would
2/21/2008 4:57:42 PM
Smith looked suprisingly good the couple times I saw the Bulls play @ Charlotte this season...even in the one game where he missed probably his first 5 LAYUPS and finished with like 19 points^they just pretty much said WE HAVE A 2 YEAR CHAMPIONSHIP WINDOW in which case they're going all outanybody but the Cavs apparentlyI think Wallace NEVER fit in with Chicago...even when they got rid of Skiles and Wallace was allowed to wear his afro without getting fined and benched...never fit in...he'll get some rebirth type shit in Cleveland[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:02 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 4:58:09 PM
2/21/2008 5:02:36 PM
not anybody but the cavsthis wasn't a straight up dealThis was "Take Hughes' contract for us and we'll take Wallace's for you...the rest, besides Szerbiak was just filler[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:03 PM. Reason : ^we're on the same page]
2/21/2008 5:02:47 PM
wallace turned to shit when he went from detroit to chicagoi think he'll thrive in clevelandgooden is trash wherever he playsand i know you guys would obviously take Wallace over Gooden if contracts didnt factor in[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:05 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 5:04:00 PM
Wallace is getting 5 and 9 right now with a block and a halfWhat do you think, he's gonna go 8 and 15 like he did with Detroit?I don't see him making much of an impact other than fumbling half of Bron's lobs[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:07 PM. Reason : you can't "if contracts didn't factor in"..they always do-why didn't Denver trade Kleiza for Artest?]
2/21/2008 5:06:09 PM
yeah i do...chicago hurt wallace's everything...he needs a change...the bulls are a horribly run organizationok then...i'd rather have wallace and wally than hughes and gooden ANY day, especially when you already have lebron and gibsondont forget, wallace's performance in detroit earned him that big free agent money...i just think chicago was never the right fit...he fucked up their chemistry and vice versa...plus imagine going to a new job where you are the man commanding big millions, and your coach is like "yeah if you wear an afro i'm going to bench and fine you"...fuck that franchise and how its run...even withi Skiles gone...Paxson is batshit[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:11 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 5:06:54 PM
At the next two trade deadlines, Cleveland will be looking to unload Wallace's contractYou heard it hear first
2/21/2008 5:09:57 PM
I'm not arguing it makes Cleveland better...but marginally so, because they won't advance any further in the playoffsSo what does it really accomplish?
2/21/2008 5:11:11 PM
Wallace will thrive in Cleveland like he did in Detroityou heard it here first, except for the other NBA analysts who are echoing my sentimentsi dunno, they figure they have to do something to compete with Detroit and BostonI'm surprised the Spurs made the move for Kurt Thomas...I figured they would be content with where they were at if anybody would[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 5:12 PM. Reason : .]
2/21/2008 5:11:38 PM
2/21/2008 5:22:38 PM
i agree wallace gives you nothing on the offensive end, i just think gooden is one of the worst starters in the nbagooden gives you 11 ppg at 44% fg shooting, which while better than wallace, is not good for a PF...he's got 35 steals and 30 blocks this year to wallace's 69 steals and 80 blocks...dont act like wallace didnt get defensive POY just a couple years ago...i personally think Chicago was the exception and not the rule...but i think what cleveland is trying to do is somehow make up for losing boozer 2 years ago which its obviously too late to make up for[Edited on February 21, 2008 at 6:04 PM. Reason : they're both averaging about 30-32 minutes per game]
2/21/2008 5:56:44 PM
imagine if Boozer had stayed with the Cavs.... they would be sickThis trade seems sort of desperate, but it will be interesting to see what happens
