sweet, that payload clock difference (and the fact it showed up like 30 minutes after it was supposed to be there) shows there is definitely something up with the space/time continuum around the island
2/14/2008 9:35:12 PM
But 100 days have still passed in both places.
2/14/2008 9:39:55 PM
yeah, it appears that way, but it looks like traveling to/from/in proximity to the island is what makes the difference. It's hard to know what happened to the helicopter when it came in and almost crashed, but that rocket was traveling at about 3-4 km/sec from the freighter 40km out, but took 30 minutes to arrive[Edited on February 14, 2008 at 9:42 PM. i did NOT see that coming!!
2/14/2008 9:50:06 PM
yeah this shit is REALLY answering questionsdefinitely not raising moreWHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
2/14/2008 9:51:51 PM
wow that was one powerful episode, totally threw me off from what I was expecting.
2/14/2008 10:02:37 PM
well I for one love the flash-forwards. I think it's awesome to see all the fucked up stuff that happens in the future, then get to see how we get there. i don't understand the big deal with getting all the questions answered, right now! The writer's have made it clear to us that they do have a clear and comprehensive picture of what's going on and all the major questions are/will be answered in time. I mean, there's no rush - we have nearly 4 seasons left. There's plenty of time to answer all the existing questions, add new plots, add new questions, then answer them too.
2/14/2008 10:05:14 PM
So there is a time delay from the island to the "real world"? about a 31 minute delay?also...i wonder who that blonde was working for. I'm guessing she was working for the black guy...It is sayid and ben versus the black guy and his cronies...
2/14/2008 10:05:18 PM
What was the last thing Sayid said?
2/14/2008 10:06:44 PM
damn, i knew sayid would be one of the six, but never knew he would be working for ben. Sorta makes sense though, since he's trying to protect his friends.
2/14/2008 10:06:57 PM
^^ i was trying to figure that out too, but my recording didn't work
2/14/2008 10:10:15 PM
the last thing sayid said was "good"b/c ben said that now the people knew he was coming after them
2/14/2008 10:11:07 PM
Shit. I thought today was Wednesday. Just finished watching Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels at 9:50. Checked out tww at 10:00. Saw this and said "FUCK" really loud.
2/14/2008 10:11:53 PM
No, the last thing Ben said was "good." It was in response to whatever Sayid asked (which I couldn't understand)
2/14/2008 10:12:30 PM
This was a great episode! Compared w/ last season...these have been much better.
2/14/2008 10:13:34 PM

what did the bracelet say he took off of naomi?---> same bracelet on the blonde he shot in the future? identifiers of future bad people?
2/14/2008 10:15:58 PM
i missed the damn episode, but they only post the new ones online friday.wtf.
2/14/2008 10:17:13 PM
Once I heard Sayid's boss speak I knew it was Ben, and I thought it was obvious when he said, "the day I trust him is the day I sell my soul", thought that was a blatant hint he'd be working for him.
2/14/2008 10:17:48 PM
i cant remember what it said exactly, but it went:N, blah blah your my bff, R.C.so N is Naomi and R.C. would be the girl that sayid shot
2/14/2008 10:20:08 PM
I think the initials were R.G. (not sure though)I guess that's supposed hint that the Berlin chick was working for the black dude (รก la Naomi)
2/14/2008 10:35:55 PM
So I'm thinking that the list of people that Sayid has to kill are top Dharma people. Speaking of lists though, it never really mentioned anything more about Jacob's list of people that the Others need to take. And speaking of the Others, where are they in all of this? Could someone care to refresh my memory? I know that they left their community and are hiding on the island somewhere but I completely forgot why.
2/14/2008 11:27:30 PM
They are feeding the blogs. Half this stuff probably has nothing to do with anything. That said, Minkowski the inventor of space time and then the non-simultaneous events speak to relativistic effects. The time for one path is quicker than the time for another. This may speak to some sort of gravitational warping around the Island, maybe flying the helicopter in the wrong path would subject it to gravitational tidal forces literally ripping it apart, like the kind of physics you encounter in blackhole physics. It seems the fat guy (sorry I just don't care enough to remember names) has the ability to manipulate the reality on the Island. He moved or removed the cabin. What is up with that?In short, this show is wack.I must watch next week.I can't shake the feeling that it will be a collosal disappointment in the end. However, in the meantime the music and scenery are more than enough. I swear I forget I'm watching TV sometimes, it has to be the best produced show on right now besides The Shield and maybe 24.

all i gotta say after tonight is ben is the fucking man. hell he prolly ends up in that casket for what hes doing with sayid ben is definately "the good guys"
2/15/2008 1:33:10 AM
I'm not sure Ben is the good guy. He basically told Sayid that he had to kill the people if he wanted to save his friends, that could mean that they're out to get his friends or that Ben is in control of the rest of the survivors' fate and is using Sayid to do his dirty work.
2/15/2008 1:36:23 AM
so you think dharma/black man is good? i think dharma initiative/this black naomis bossman is pure evil and they are trying to somehow harness the powers of the island for their own control. these are the same people that helped orchestrate the 815 mock discovery and are ordered to gas everyone on the island. i think that was made clear when he visited hurley.the dharma initaitive was wrong all along. they took over the island and attacked the others with rifles anytime they saw them. ben met the nice man in the woods and did the purge to regain peace on the island. now they have found the island again and are set on retaking it. imo[Edited on February 15, 2008 at 1:45 AM. Bracelet:I don't remember noticing these boobs before..
2/15/2008 3:20:00 AM
My theory is that Ben really does want to protect the island, for whatever reasons he has (personal/selfish or otherwise).I think that when the Oceanic 6 left the island, they told Dharma/whoever that everyone else was dead. Dharma doesnt believe them and wants to take the island back for research/to control it.Ben is now using Sayid, telling him the only way to protect the people who wanted to stay on the island, is by preventing the Dharma group from going back there, or else the people left behind will be killed by Dharma.Could be completely wrong.
2/15/2008 6:31:17 AM
I'm definitely starting to come down on the side that perhaps Ben is one of the "good" guys in all of this. I say "good" because one of the main themes in Lost has been the grey area between good and evil, that people are not purely good or purely evil.
2/15/2008 9:28:51 AM
I'm starting to think that Henry Gale is one of the others
2/15/2008 9:45:14 AM
People seem really scared/freaked about the Oceanic six. Do you think they take some of the island's powers with them when they leave? Or is Sayid really that good at golf?
2/15/2008 10:31:07 AM
Maybe, in between killing folks, he golfs a lot. VV[Edited on February 15, 2008 at 10:39 AM. Reason : .]
2/15/2008 10:37:34 AM
well remember they set up a mock golf course during the first few seasons...so I'm sure he had some practice
2/15/2008 11:08:52 AM
Yeah, probably, I think I'm just trying to make something out of minimal clues. It'd be cool if they had powers and that's why people were afraid of them. It would be funny if Hiro Nakamura showed up on the island for a brief second and was like, woops, and then teleported away.
2/15/2008 11:21:39 AM
it doesn't seem like people are afraid of them, from what Hurley and Jack said, they are like celebrities. One guy was afraid of one survivor, one time, that we've seen, and that was Sayid on the golf course because I think he knew he was about to get shot
2/15/2008 11:25:15 AM
^ Yeah, presumably this guy and his posse are related to whatever force is trying to kill the survivors in present time. The fact that six get off and one of them is killing all of these enemies is probably unsettling to them.
2/15/2008 11:31:27 AM
What did Sayid say to that guy right before he shot him?
2/15/2008 11:39:14 AM
i believe that Sayid told him that he was one of the Oceanic 6, then the guy started to get all freaked out, hit his ball closer, Sayid said "I guess I should have gone with the five iron" and then the guy said not to worry about the bet, and was trying to get away, Sayid said no I insist, and then shot him
2/15/2008 11:43:11 AM
btw, either the set designers did an amazing job at re-creating a Berlin coffee shop, or they actually flew to Germany to film those Berlin scenes. I lived in Munich for a year, and about 1 second after Sayid walked into the coffee bar I said to my wife "I think this is Germany", then another second later and Sayid said "ist das frei?" On the Second (or maybe 1st) season DVD extras, though, it did show how the set designers and builders creating Charlie's flat in England, and the street outside, and they really did do an amazing job of taking buildings and locations in Hawaii and making them look completely foreign.
2/15/2008 1:04:59 PM
So I just thought of something last night... the Hydra station where Jack, Sawyer, and Kate were kept in the bear cages was on the other island. How did the polar bears get from that island to the main one? Now I know that polar bears are pretty good swimmers so it isn't completely far fetched or anything, but we do know that the waters are infested with Dharma sharks. And I don't know much about how polar bears think, but I don't think they would bother making the swim unless they were following food. So I'm thinking that maybe the same thing that "teleported" that polar bear into the desert is the same thing that put them on the main island. And then once on the island, Walt and whatever powers he has made them aggressive towards the survivors. Also, wouldn't it be hilarious if Mikhail turned out to be Ben's spy. I know that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and it isn't gonna happen but I swear that fucker will never die.
