i hate the bobcats, but b/c i'm from NC (and charlotte) i want to like themBUT FUCKgive it up with the UNCCH guys in the draft. how's sean may working out? felton? they took both of those shitheads in the first round. now they draft a project?! no lets not get someone who can have an immediate impact, possibly help get this team into the playoffs (when all they need in the eastern conf is to get to .500!!!!) but instead lets draft a lanky bean-pole lookin fuck who carries half his weight in his ears. they could've at least traded for a veteran. looks like i won't be watching any bobcats games this year, either.
6/28/2007 8:53:44 PM
haha i will never like the TarCats
6/28/2007 8:57:17 PM
6/28/2007 8:58:46 PM
Alright bobcats, time to make up some ground with fans gone astray...ENGIN ATSUR AT 22 DO IT
6/28/2007 9:00:24 PM
and the bobcats select...reyshawn terryand the bobcats have traded emeka okafor, walter hermann, and matt carroll to UNC for the rights to players for the next 5 years, with an option for a 6th and 7th year
6/28/2007 9:02:55 PM
uh...
6/28/2007 9:05:48 PM
so he's been injury prone. which, to me, for a team which desperately needs to win to get fans back in its city after blowing millions of dollars of taxpayers' money on an arena which the majority did not want, is not gonna cut it for a 1st round draft pick (#13 at that!).[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 9:21 PM. 6/28/2007 9:19:03 PM
BOBCATS SUCK DICK
6/28/2007 9:25:15 PM
wow i fucking hate this team
6/28/2007 9:48:40 PM
i like the Dudley pick
6/28/2007 9:49:29 PM
Seriously dude, how can you like Dudley?I mean, I'm trying to like it, but how?
6/28/2007 9:50:55 PM
the charlotte john swoffords
6/28/2007 9:52:41 PM
ugh...i hate that douchebag. this is almost as bad as it woulda been if they'd drafted jj redick
6/28/2007 9:53:23 PM
at least it wasn't mcrobertsamirite?
6/28/2007 9:58:05 PM
Yay, good thing we got 2 more Forwards...We already have 10 Forwards on the team, including: Sean May, Gerald Wallace, Adam Morrison, Omeka Okefor
6/28/2007 9:58:50 PM
did anyone notice that jordan didn't give an interview? i wonder if that has anything to do with them contemplating a trade and not wanting to throw wright under the bus. it could happen right?
6/28/2007 10:01:32 PM
i can't believe they passed on reyshawn terry. hell lets see what david noel is doing these days.honestly though, as much as i hate dudley (which is a LOT), i think he'll have a more immediate impact than wright. which ain't saying much
6/28/2007 10:02:12 PM
im still thinking we might trade someone
6/28/2007 10:03:28 PM
i'm PRAYING they trade someone. His name starts with Brandan.
6/28/2007 10:05:20 PM
id get rid of may before wright
6/28/2007 10:05:38 PM
If they keep Dudley, it should all but assure May is on the way out. They're nearly identical players -- May's a little better on the inside, and Dudley on the outside, but still very similar.
6/28/2007 10:06:51 PM
you know, we could have done worsewith Brewer gone, who could we have gotten without getting killed by all the experts?Thornton would be a reach at 8and the media and experts dont care that they keep drafting unc guys, they think its funny, but not an issueI think Wright was a steal there, but not what we needed, but i mean i dont know if Noah would have been much better.Im so confused
6/28/2007 10:07:41 PM
^^except for, ya know, that whole playing more than about 30 games a year thing that seems to have eluded may.although I agree and hope that you are right.[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 10:10 PM. Reason : d]
6/28/2007 10:10:01 PM
OH SHITJ Richardson for BWright???
6/28/2007 10:47:41 PM
yea i'm not sure how i feel about that...send em dudley and maybe they wont know the difference.
6/28/2007 10:48:07 PM
I mean personally, I'd love it. Steven A doesn't seem to though.
6/28/2007 10:49:04 PM
Assuming we can resign Wallace, we have to LEGIT wings to run with Felton.FeltonRichardsonWallaceHerrmann/MayOkaforStill pretty weak at PF, but damn they'd be fun to watch
6/28/2007 10:50:52 PM
screw SmithIm ok with it, im tired of waitingwe said we would trade the pick for veteran helpwell
6/28/2007 10:51:47 PM
The announcers got it right. you don't trade big for small unless it's a REAL talent, and Richardson definitely isn't. We have hermann and caroll to shoot the ball from outside(and for a helluva lot cheaper too). keep the guy who can rebound and play defense.
6/28/2007 10:52:17 PM
they want to sell ticketsmaybe they learned the home crowd doesnt necessarily want to see players theyve seen in nearby college already[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 10:55 PM. Reason : ]
6/28/2007 10:54:52 PM
since he's a bobcat now (presumably) thought I'd go ahead and do some PR work. Great read on J Rich coming back from his knee injury...http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/05/06/SPGUKPM5T01.DTLFrom article"He never complains, he just wants to win,'' Nelson said. "That's a unique quality in a guy like that.''
6/28/2007 11:09:45 PM
i can live with thisplus BWright with the Warriors will be much betterthey play a fast style like the tarheels
6/28/2007 11:11:34 PM
FeltonRichardson/MorrisonWallaceHerrmann/MayOkaforThis should be a really good running team. Morrison/May off the bench for good scoring. I love Okafor but I'm just not sold that he is the type of Center that fits into the bobcats system.
6/28/2007 11:12:17 PM
the problem i see with this is richardson is basically gerald wallace with less defense. neither shoot particularly if i remember correctly, but they're both slashers that can get to the basket. we can run, but hows the half court gonna look?
6/28/2007 11:24:29 PM
Richardson is actually a good/great 3-point threat. Agreed his defense is nowhere near Wallace, but Wallace's shot is nowhere near Richardson's.
6/28/2007 11:28:44 PM
wow.love the J-Rich pick up, he's a 26 year old guy that can go out and get you 30 on any given night. 35% 3-point shooter who can go in and jam it in your grill.I'm a little worried about our Brezec-Voskuhl-Hollins three headed mouse at Center. Are there any free agent Centers out there?Dudley can be productive. I am pleased with the draft, though I wish we coulda traded away Sean May and some others to get Richardson instead of Wright who could have been the added rebounding presence that we could use.[Edited on June 28, 2007 at 11:35 PM. 6/28/2007 11:32:40 PM
Dude, it's the east. Okafor is fine at center.
6/28/2007 11:33:36 PM
Okafor really isn't a pure Center though, he can play the 5, but he's really more of a 4.
6/28/2007 11:36:44 PM
This is true, but really, who is a true center anymore? Oden, Shaq, ehhhh Zo?Okafor will be fine. He's really beefed up since he first got to charlotte
6/28/2007 11:42:35 PM
I'm down with jrich
6/29/2007 1:04:45 AM
its alright guysI was skeptical of the trade at firstbut I fired up a game of 2k7 and put Richardson on the BobcatsHe had 24-6-6 with 3 steals on 5 minute quarters on the hardert difficultySo it looks like its gonna work out
6/29/2007 1:09:16 AM
i'll give u my hardert difficultuy
6/29/2007 1:11:33 AM
at least I spelled one of those words right
6/29/2007 1:13:14 AM
oh fuck you...i'm drinking vokda
6/29/2007 1:13:47 AM
we needed scoring JRich had a 7 game stretch last season where he dropped 35, 25, 27, 36, 42, 27, and 44 points
6/29/2007 1:49:25 AM
^ sucks dicks, just told me he wants to get on this.
6/29/2007 1:50:03 AM
I think it is a good move getting J-Rich....but don't forget we got a possible center out of the trade too.Jermareo Davidson killed us here in Raleigh, I sadly remember, and could be a legit NBA big.hit [Edited on June 29, 2007 at 2:14 AM. Reason : Shit Davidson went to the same high school as JJ Hickson]
6/29/2007 2:12:07 AM
Golden state fans hate the move, fwiwcheck out the fan site http://goldenstateofmind.com/, one of the best fan sites IMOthey are blasting the move[Edited on June 29, 2007 at 2:18 AM. Reason : x]
6/29/2007 2:17:22 AM
I love the Dudley pick. Winner. high basketball IQ. good shooter. Does a lot of things well.
6/29/2007 3:41:55 AM
Stevin A. Smith is dumbthis was a good movenow please get Wallace back
