I found the characters more compelling in Spider-Man and X2. Watching Peter slowly discover his powers and work out his relationships with MJ, Aunt May, and Harry was great for me. I even prefer the action in Spider-Man (what little there was to be had). Similar case with the characters and action in X2. Tony Stark I found likable, but forgettable.

i say it's better than all the marvel movies and at least on par with batman begins(probably better since bale's batman voice kicks me out of the movie every time)

i didn't think the first punisher "sucked balls"
5/8/2008 9:47:49 AM
the movie was amazing...I really liked it!! better than I thought it would be, and I went in thinking it was going to be awesome...
5/8/2008 10:03:24 AM
^^ ah i never saw it lol it's just what i heard
5/8/2008 10:07:29 AM
i thought it was pretty bad
5/8/2008 10:18:16 AM
^...ass!there, completed your sentence for you.
5/8/2008 10:27:25 AM
the punisher movie was awesometravolta - "You killed my son!"punisher - "Both of 'em" KABOOOM!
5/8/2008 10:34:23 AM
The FIRST Punisher movies was the best. Dolph Lundgren, Louis Gossett Jr, and fucking Ninjas.
5/8/2008 11:05:23 AM
I've never understood the Spider-Man hype. I thought each movie was decent. My top 5:1. Superman II- Kneel before Zod2. Batman-Jack Nicholson 3. Superman (Reeves)4. Iron Man5. tie: X-MEN/X-Men 2Underrated: Darkman, Hellboy

saw this a couple of days ago, mostly because of the positive comments in this thread.BY FAR the best Marvel comic movie. Unlike X-Men/Spider Man series, this wasn't all fucking cheesy dialogue and wasn't stuffed with uber-nerd inside jokes. It was enjoyable as a real movie, not a comic adaptation. It stuck to the storyline of Iron Man VERY well, unlike every other damn movie, Xmen and Spiderman included, which took great liberties with the timelines and battles from the comics. Yes they encompassed 20 years of the comic book in a single movie. If anything it made the movie better as a result.
5/8/2008 2:06:20 PM
3.5/5not the greatest movie ive seen. First and last 30minutes of the movie were great, but the middle just seemed to go nowhere with not plot development. It was pretty obvious that the old guy was the one who ordered to have sparks killed.

5/8/2008 10:31:03 PM
the X-men series to me was a complete waste, i wouldnt watch either one againthe guy who played wolverine was awful, and the story was wack, actually the first one was ok,but the finale sucked
5/8/2008 11:16:41 PM
im not usually into the CGI fests that are the comic book movies.....however, this entertained me for some reason.
5/9/2008 1:08:53 AM
this one was pretty respectable on the cgi end. Some overload you so much, this one kept an even keel
5/9/2008 10:07:59 AM
i liked how the big lebowski was the villian
5/9/2008 2:24:54 PM
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
5/9/2008 2:31:50 PM
i thought jackman was a solid wolverine ... maybe it's just me :x
5/9/2008 2:56:29 PM
Liked the movie just didn't like Terrence Howard. Everytime I see him I think of the scene in Crash when he's tearing up and about to lose it.Through the entire movie I was waiting for him to start crying.
5/9/2008 4:53:20 PM
i didn't even know that guy's name but he definitely looked like a bitch.
5/9/2008 6:14:08 PM
i'd agree that he was the weakest casting, but that might just be because everyone else was so money[Edited on May 9, 2008 at 9:28 PM. Reason : woulda been better with a Delroy Lindo-like actor]
5/9/2008 9:26:20 PM
whenever he was like "this isn't the worst thing you caught me doing" im guessing she had caught him beating offI thought it would have added to the film if they'd showed the scene where she caught him beating
5/9/2008 10:01:39 PM
I was thinking more like she caught him with some coke and doing crazy shit with numerous whores... but sure.
5/9/2008 10:41:56 PM
My top 5 comic book movies:5. Constantine4. Mystery Men3. Men in Black2. V for Vendetta1. The RocketeerBut seriously,5. 300 (Comparing movie stills to the graphic novel is pretty funny.)4. X-Men 2 (Gotta love Nightcrawler. Still miss Gambit)3. Spider-Man 2 (1 was okay, 3 was awkward.)2. Iron Man (Great action and humor.)1. Batman Begins (Batman done right for once.)
5/10/2008 4:39:12 PM
i'll always have the Chris Reeve Supermans 1&2 (cause it's pretty much one long movie) at my number onethose movie had a heart to them that i've never seen done in superhero movies since (save maybe some parts of the newer spider-man)plus...i was a child when they came out, so i don't have the curse of being a modern jaded kid bloated off the overuse of cgi going for meoh nostalgia you are so dangerous, i'll forever remember being in the theatre after a little league game watching tim burton's batman...batman begins could never replicate that feeling for me[Edited on May 10, 2008 at 4:52 PM. Reason : (superman looks into the camera and flies off into space)]
5/10/2008 4:52:10 PM
^one of my earliest memories as a kid is being at a drive in movie theater and watching batman...i agree with you completely on that...
5/10/2008 5:00:07 PM

5/11/2008 7:53:30 PM

5/11/2008 9:39:43 PM
5/12/2008 9:04:46 AM
Oh fuck, elisha cuthbert was in it??
5/12/2008 9:14:20 AM

5/12/2008 11:35:58 AM
Oh, now that is awesome.Just watched the HD trailer again, and it's definitely not on the table.Well damn. Now I'm tempted to go see it a third time. [Edited on May 12, 2008 at 11:51 AM. Reason : trailer]
5/12/2008 11:43:37 AM
All that I am really remembering right now is the shot of Leslie Bibb's legs in the beginning.
5/18/2008 6:26:01 PM
I am interested in a captain america movie, but know almost nothing about the comic character other than how he was created.
5/18/2008 7:42:13 PM
^Lucky for you they've already made a few:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103923/http://youtube.com/watch?v=UcSuA6d-3RM

5/19/2008 9:15:21 AM
I'm not going to read the whole threadbut I'm going to go ahead and say that was awesome
5/19/2008 10:25:30 AM
gwyenth paltrow looked pretty goodi thought she'd be in her 40's by now
5/19/2008 12:25:09 PM
im not normally a big fan of her, but I have to admit, I was a fan of her during this movie
5/19/2008 12:27:45 PM
hope this is better than indiana jones
5/22/2008 11:06:31 PM
It is, wayyyy bettter. And I am a huge Indiana Jones fan.I really didn't even care about this movie and I loved it.
5/23/2008 12:56:31 AM
Very good movie. Also, I would stick my pepper into paltrow's pottAlso, as far as comic book movies go:1. Batman2. Sin city3. Iron man[Edited on May 27, 2008 at 12:58 AM. Reason : .]
5/27/2008 12:53:44 AM
And the whole climax of the movie could have been avoided if Tony Stark had password protected his screensaver.
