that first save is nuts
5/6/2007 1:38:26 PM
Reina got an early start on every ball - Cech always seemed late, like he was trying to react to each shot post-strike... he needed to be in motion already - fine with me thoughthe call at the end of the clip is a lot of fun too
5/6/2007 1:44:35 PM
i love the videos of goals at the san siro and the wave of fans storming towards the fenceps. why do liverpool keepers have such a hard time keeping on their line?[Edited on May 6, 2007 at 5:43 PM. Reason : ]

^^ Jumping early is just the way things are done. It's illegal, but it's tolerated, and there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of that.
5/6/2007 9:09:36 PM
i never took kaka seriously until now, that move on on man u. was top class
5/6/2007 9:27:25 PM
he's been the best player in the world for 2 years and was the only brazilian who played half way decent during the world cup

you guys need to watch the UEFA cup final on live right now from glasgow...1-1 after regulation, sevilla scored on the last touch of the 1st extra time....espanyol scored to make it 2-2 with 4 minutes left in the 2nd extra time on a brilliant goal (playing a man down too)
5/16/2007 5:12:21 PM
milan/fenerbahce CL game from 11/05 is on fsc now for anyone interested in seeing the brilliance of kaka
5/17/2007 5:22:16 PM
where is everyone watching the game?
5/22/2007 6:49:29 PM
on dvr after I get home from workI hate not watching games live
5/23/2007 12:23:02 PM
I was bored at work yesterday and started watching some youtube videos of Kaka and Thierry Henry to pass the time. Kaka is a great player and all, but I still think Henry is a better all-around playerflame on
5/23/2007 12:25:39 PM
It's hard to compare them. Kaka gets loads more time and space than Henry does because that's just how Serie A works.
5/23/2007 12:26:45 PM
trueI was watching a "top 10 Kaka highlights" video and all it was was a bunch of upper 90 shots from outside of the boxwatch the same kind of video for Henry and you see him juke out 4-5 players then make the same shotI guess I just think that Henry has the total package as far as speed, technical ability, power, creativity, etc.
5/23/2007 12:29:39 PM
I'm in Florence, Italy - might get on a train to Milan if they win...I hope the game is as awesome as its building up today. Some kid in my study abroad class wore a Liverpool jersey to class today, ballsy or fucking stupid?
5/23/2007 12:37:32 PM
henry is just a technical wizard with unmatched speed...it is unbelievable what he can do with the ball...kaka has more of the zidane technicality...both have insane touch[Edited on May 23, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Reason : there are plenty of kaka goals where he pretty much goes coast to coast]
5/23/2007 1:00:02 PM
^ stupid
5/23/2007 2:18:04 PM
lol go liverpool
5/23/2007 2:54:52 PM
^^ what is stupid about thatkind of wanted pirlo to get that...good end to a nervous half though
5/23/2007 3:36:41 PM
halfway there
5/23/2007 3:41:39 PM
Liverpool loses because they wait until the 78th minute to put in Crouch.
5/23/2007 4:31:10 PM
uh oh..
5/23/2007 4:33:31 PM
whew filippo ftw
5/23/2007 4:40:25 PM
hell yea!
5/23/2007 5:24:12 PM
damnation
5/23/2007 7:21:26 PM
The better team lost the game.Milan looked like garbage but they finished their few chances and Liverpool did not, it's as simple as that. Liverpool can really only blame themselves: Pennant missed a good opportunity, Alonso didn't finish his chance in the first half, Gerrard missed the breakaway, etc. The only real complaint they can have about the officiating is (not that it's a big deal because a goal was unlikely anyways) but two goals, five substitutes, stoppage to get a fan off the field... and he still didn't give the minimum of the 3 minutes of added time announced.Anyways, I think Rafa made a couple of big mistakes - bringing on Crouch too late, leaving Zenden in too long, and bringing on Kewell. I would've rather seen Riise move into that winger role and play 3 at the back or drop Mascherano in a little deeper than having Kewell out there. You could tell Gattuso really intimidated him and he tried to go 1v1 way too much. Zenden was horrible the entire game and should've been out at halftime.Oh well, congrats to Milan, they were due after Istanbul anyways
5/23/2007 7:40:48 PM
5/23/2007 8:26:13 PM
Liverpool played the better overall game
5/23/2007 10:23:59 PM
I think the fair thing is to say that Liverpool was better at creating good scoring chances, but Milan was better at turning their chances into goals
5/23/2007 10:26:13 PM
Liverpool had the majority of the possession, Pirlo/Kaka were nonexistent all game, the first Milan goal was a fluke goal, and I can only remember one shot Milan had other than the 2 goalsso it makes perfect sense to say Liverpool played the better overall game, they were just unlucky that Milan turned their only two scoring chances into goals
5/23/2007 10:32:18 PM
Liverpool really took it to Milan in the 1st half, but they didn't bury any of the 3 quality chances they had (Dida's save on Pennant, Riise's high volley, and Gerrard's complete whiff). I agree that in the 2nd half Rafa waited too long to make the necessary adjustments by bringing on ANYONE to replace Zenden, and I was shocked that Crouch didn't get in the game sooner.Oh well, as a Reds fan I can't really complain. We stole one in 2005 and gave one away in '07. Here's to bringing in Et'o or Villa and making a run at the Prem title in '08!
5/23/2007 10:33:09 PM
stole in 05...checkgave one away in 07...not quite
5/23/2007 10:47:37 PM
I don't understand why it's so hard for you to say "Okay you're right, Milan played like shit"they're champions of Europe, so who cares how they did it
5/23/2007 10:55:47 PM
milan hung in there and poached a goal and deflected one in.if liverpool were the better team, they would have made their chances count a la the real madrid team at the turn of the century (as much as i hated them).
5/24/2007 1:11:37 AM
milan definately didn't play well...liverpool wasn't exactly lighting it up either...it was a rather ugly game from all aspects...it didn't seem like anyone's touch was there tonight...i don't know why it is so hard for you to not cop out and admit that milan is a better squad and won because of that very reason...i shall not rest on this...i am one of few italian soccer fans on this board in a crowd of english supportersand as for kaka being non-existant...i assume you saw where he had possession at the top of the box and was taken down, setting up pirlo's free kick that ended in a goal...i also assume you saw kaka assist on filippo's second goal...[Edited on May 24, 2007 at 1:28 AM. 5/24/2007 7:52:34 AM
I'm having a great year! my two teams have won back to back. first italy takes the world cup and now Milan wins Champions League.
5/25/2007 2:54:56 PM
i was flamed on here pretty bad for my italy pick
5/25/2007 3:41:51 PM
its not a pick for me. I've always been a Italian football fan since I was a little kid. Same with my dad and his side of the family...since they're Italian. Same goes for AC Milan Got to say, it was a dream come true for me to actually witness Italy winning the cup in person. Last time they won was the year I was born. I got terminated from nasioc.com because I was an Italian fan. haha...
5/25/2007 3:54:18 PM
yea my mother's side of the family is italian...father's is irish...i will take in a game at the san siro before i die
5/25/2007 4:02:20 PM
Roberto Baggio is my favorite player of all time... I've never been against Italy or Italian teams, in fact I used to pull for them when Baggio was playingI just don't really like any of their current team except for Maldini and Gattuso[Edited on May 25, 2007 at 4:21 PM. Reason : Maldini]
