I'm glad people actually care about people dying in Iraq since it wasn't the trendy fad a few years agooh and any time insurgents kill Shiites its clearly Bush's fault! Don't blame the bombers who blow themselves up, blame America[Edited on March 6, 2007 at 11:58 AM. Reason : .]
3/6/2007 11:56:43 AM
I have you on block, but I'm gonna guess your reply went something like thisYea, don't blame the bombers that kill people, blame Bush because he was the one that did it.AndDemocracy takes timeAndOther drivel
3/6/2007 12:03:31 PM
You're not fooling anyone with your "I supposedly have you on block" routine or you wouldnt even bother to reply, baldieI HAVE YOU ON BLOCK BUT I BET YOU JUST EXPRESSED DISBELIEF THAT I ACTUALLY HAVE YOU ON BLOCK AND THEN MADE A COMMENT ABOUT MY HAIR LOSSps: its funny that the bombers...you know, the actual murderers? they are getting a pass because its easier to blame Bush! blame the US!

Another point the video made is that the Democrats talk a lot of shit about pulling out of Iraq, but when it comes down to a vote on it, many of them just don't have the courage of their convictions.
3/10/2007 2:50:52 PM
3/10/2007 3:03:23 PM
^ Didn't you hear the man? There is no filibuster in the House. And concerning "consensus," if the Democrats can reach agreement so easily on something as complex as global warming, one would think that they could reach agreement on an up or down vote concerning whether to fund the Iraq war or not. But the Democrats value their political asses more than their convictions--it's really quite simple.

You'd rather fight them inside the United States?
3/12/2007 3:08:14 PM
it's what's known as a false dilemma
3/12/2007 3:09:08 PM
it didnt seem like a false dilemma on 9/11 or 10 years earlierdid it?]
3/12/2007 3:11:45 PM
We are already fighting them here. Not in a Jack Bauer sense but you as well as I do that there are multitudes of agencies keeping tabs on and undermining terrorist organizations in the US. To think that by fighting in Iraq we are somehow drawing them to one place as to eliminate them is an admission to being oblivious to reality. Terrorists are all over the globe. Should we likewise be all over the globe in our attempt to fight an abstract concept?
3/12/2007 3:12:57 PM
3/12/2007 3:16:35 PM
Are more civilian deaths in Iraq being caused by the insugency or by the civil conflict between sunnis and shiites? My money is on sectarian violence. So are the costs justifed by the killing of the small percentage of actual terrorist that we created by being there in the first place?
3/12/2007 3:22:04 PM
I think unfortunately there are civilian deaths at the hands of both the insurgents and the civil warHowever if you say something about "actual terrorist that we created by being there in the first place?" then that certainly implies that we ARE "drawing them to one place as to eliminate them "
3/12/2007 3:28:38 PM
I don't think you can justify creating more terrorists simply to kill them. By not being there in the first place these people likely would have lived unradicalized lives. Once again fighting "The War on Terror" is as futile as "The War on Crime" or "The War on Drugs". Will crime or drugs end once we kill all of the criminals and drug dealers/users?[Edited on March 12, 2007 at 3:33 PM. Reason : .]
3/12/2007 3:33:25 PM
I agree you shouldnt create more terrorists just to kill themI also think its a little naive to assume if we hadnt been there that all the insurgents wouldve lived unradicalized lives...I'm pretty sure most of these guys were already unstable and anti-America...this just pushed some of them over the edge
3/12/2007 3:38:28 PM
a lot of these "insurgents" and "terrorists" were not insurgents and terrorists before the war.this has been borne out by the capture and interview of hundreds of these people.they used to be vegetable sellers, auto mechanics, shopkeepers, whatever.watch the interview videos on youtube.they came from egypt, syria, jordan, saudi, etc, and of course, the majority are iraqis.they would have continued living their lives if america hadn't attacked and removed saddam. they had nothing against america before the war (relatively speaking).
3/12/2007 3:42:35 PM
3/12/2007 3:45:14 PM
majority of arabs hate america to varying degrees.so now what?america is going to attack various countries in order to radicalize them and attract them to the attacked countries, so they can all be killed?talk about an unfeasible draconian evil plan.
3/12/2007 3:47:30 PM
no but dont act like someone willing to blow themselves up was just a week earlier some pacifist peasant who never had a murderous violent thought in his life
3/12/2007 3:53:05 PM
and how is that peasant going to bring the terrorism to america again?we've just made it REALLY easy for terrorists to terrorize us in iraq.[Edited on March 12, 2007 at 3:55 PM. Reason : .]
3/12/2007 3:55:06 PM
well they're going to terrorize us somewhere so its better that the fighting be done outside the US
3/12/2007 3:56:33 PM
they're gonna try, probably.fact is: it's far easier to get us on their own turf.are our troops lives and the lives of iraqis that expendable?
