Marvel vs. DC durrrrWhy can't you just like both?Superman's old school, some people don't like that sort of thing. Some people think that the ability to lift a mountain is "lame" in a superhero. I think over-the-top shit can be fucking awesome.
7/5/2006 1:51:11 AM
yeah for example magneto lifting the entire fucking golden gate bridge that was fucking bad ass

he did beat up superman, but they both had a "simultaneous final blow" that killed each other... and doomsday would kick any superhero's ass anyway
7/5/2006 4:46:05 PM
I'm not a Comic book reader so I may be wrong, but McDanger had told me that Superman could run out of energy..truth?
7/5/2006 5:05:00 PM
some writers have said he is fueled by the sun kinda like photosynthesis...so i guess technically if he were away from the sun (or similar star) for a long amount of time...then yes he could run out of energy..but it would take a long long time..and he could fly and find another sun by then
7/5/2006 5:07:43 PM
Several times over the years Superman has left our solar system only to slowly lose his powers and become vulnerable after time. And then in the DC 1,000,000 comics where it took place many, many thousands of years in the future, Superman just stored himself in the sun and become kinda godlike after so much time.[Edited on July 5, 2006 at 5:20 PM. IMAX kicks ass! 3d plane scene was amazing
7/5/2006 10:08:30 PM
This movie dragged like a motherfucker.
7/6/2006 1:56:04 AM
Saw in first two times in regular theater.Saw it in IMAX 3D last night.Goddamn those intro credits never get old...
7/6/2006 9:21:23 AM
The design of the opening credits was great, but it would have been nice if they had either done them optically, or at a high enough resolution so there wouldn't be aliasing on all the text. That's some damn Playstation shit right there.
7/6/2006 9:23:33 AM
7/6/2006 9:52:00 AM
I think the movie should have ended with him falling to the earth, showing him on the ground bleeding and beat up.
7/6/2006 1:04:50 PM
Is there ever any mention of just how fast Superman can fly? I remember in the original Superman movie, Lois asks him and he says that he never really tested himself. In the new one, one of the news reports said that in order to get from one part of the planet to another, he would have to travel at almost the speed of light.
7/6/2006 1:53:27 PM
7/6/2006 2:07:17 PM
Well, he did travel to Krypton and back sooo.
7/6/2006 2:22:33 PM
Even Superman couldn't get to the nearest star and back in five years without taking a wormhole or something.
7/6/2006 2:30:33 PM
I want my Flash movie
7/6/2006 2:37:01 PM
If Superman carried the Juggernaut all the way to the Sun... would the Juggernaut then... make the sun his bitch?I guess it depends on his helmet.
7/6/2006 2:38:18 PM
Isn't Juggernaut immortal and invincible (minus attacks from psychic mutants, of course)? Like, he doesn't need to breathe or eat or anything, and nothing hurts him? If so, I'd imagine that the sun wouldn't do shit to him.
7/6/2006 2:58:17 PM
Probably wouldn't, but he couldn't escape the gravitational field either
7/6/2006 3:00:13 PM
Incorrect! Nothing can stop the Juggernaut!
7/6/2006 3:06:03 PM
Superman's only other weakness besides kryptonite is magic. And since the Juggernaut is powered by magic, I bet he could plow through Supes.[Edited on July 6, 2006 at 3:57 PM. Reason : God I hate knowing all this.]
7/6/2006 3:54:17 PM
7/6/2006 3:54:36 PM
juggernaut could only plow through supes if he could catch him or hold him steady... supes would fly away or run fast like the wind
7/6/2006 4:04:26 PM
Well he can travel faster then sound (in flight) cause they did show him breaking the sound barrier. But he can't run faster then the Flash.
7/6/2006 4:08:05 PM
I bet he could if he got a motherbox.
7/6/2006 4:12:11 PM
It would be kind of sucky for the Flash if Superman was faster, since that is pretty much all he has got.
7/6/2006 4:47:02 PM
Flash is faster. And on the top of his game can kick Superman's ass.
7/6/2006 4:58:02 PM
Supes would kill Juggernaut.
7/6/2006 5:04:28 PM
flash may be faster, but could not kick supes ass
7/6/2006 5:06:47 PM
Is that a fact? I'd like to see that happen.
7/6/2006 5:07:11 PM
He could totally rob Supes of all movement with the speedforce powers he's gotten over the past decade. And then just pummel him to death. The guy can run at just below the speed of light... and he knows how to build up mass by doing this and give people the beat down. Then again I haven't read any of their comics in awhile so things may have changed.
7/6/2006 5:32:50 PM
Wally West is trapped in some mysterious dimension. The Speed Force vanished for a while, but according to The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1, it's currently residing in Bart Allen (Kid Flash). What I mean to say is that presently, there isn't a speedster on DC's Earth with the ability to control the Speed Force.[Edited on July 6, 2006 at 5:46 PM. Reason : ///]
7/6/2006 5:43:17 PM
Well a couple years ago Wally could have kicked Supes' ass
7/6/2006 5:46:07 PM
Flash sure as shit won't be able to do anything to Supes.
7/6/2006 5:49:42 PM
I bet the Flash could think of something. Supes is a pretty poor tactician since he's able to rely on his powers to do so much of the work.
7/6/2006 5:53:52 PM
^Yeah that is why I always figured that Batman would pwn the hell out of Superman (although I never read any of the actual comics)

7/6/2006 7:09:21 PM
i saw the Superman movie last time. damn, i was disappointed. CGI was cool, but the story sucked and so did the actors/actresses; Smallville is ten times better...
7/6/2006 7:16:24 PM
ha! I'm so glad they didn't get Tom Welling to play superman in the movie. Honestly, no way in hell he could have carried the movie.
7/6/2006 8:17:33 PM
7/6/2006 8:38:12 PM
thats the most scathing thing said yet about this movie
7/6/2006 8:39:48 PM
I didnt mean to imply that Tom Welling should of carried this role for the film. I dunno ya'll, to me it really didnt feel like the actors/actresses for the major roles put 100% into making their characters seem real to us. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor didnt seem evil for his role. He probably would of a made a good job in a role as Toyman...Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane..where the fuck was the Lois Lane sassiness; I could go on, but it'll just sound like i'm rambling to most
7/6/2006 10:09:49 PM
Spacey was awesome. His Luthor was cold, calculating, and deceptive. He leads things off by tricking a dying old woman into leaving him her money and then basically laughing at her grieving family.
