3/17/2006 3:39:15 PM

3/17/2006 3:39:52 PM
seriously, wisconsinThe big east and big ten should just kill themselves
3/17/2006 5:19:35 PM
^ But they are the two best conferences in the nation duh?!?Fuck if the ACC tourny champ ever gets knocked out in the 1st round (Iowa/Syracuse). Granted Duke is always a #1 seed...[Edited on March 17, 2006 at 5:39 PM. Reason : ACC]
3/17/2006 5:38:48 PM
wtf was wrong with iowa? I had them going to sweet 16
3/17/2006 7:43:03 PM
My Pitt Final Four prediction hasnt killed me yet

3/17/2006 8:34:09 PM
MSU about to lose. UNC now gets a free pass to the sweet 16
3/17/2006 9:07:55 PM
omg bradley nailin' a wild 3 to go up by 10 on KU at the half
3/17/2006 10:39:41 PM
that was a great shot
3/17/2006 10:40:31 PM
i am now pulling for all upsets. fuck a bracket
3/17/2006 10:41:35 PM
yep, i'd love to see all 4 late games end with the underdogs winning. would be a wild finish to the best 36hours of sports
3/17/2006 10:42:15 PM
ok i have 28 games (29 if you count the playin, but i dont) in the books so far8/28 (~29%) of the games so far were won by the lower seed, seems pretty high.
3/17/2006 10:42:30 PM
Jackleg,On that note, it's been an exceptional first round so far.
3/17/2006 10:42:59 PM
its unreal how well the REALLY low seeds are playing this year, i love it.
3/17/2006 10:44:38 PM
good god, UAB
3/17/2006 10:44:43 PM
that dunk was super nasty
3/17/2006 10:45:24 PM
UAB is gonna run kentucky down before its over. another one of my "upsets" -- but there are no upsets in 8/9 7/10 games really
3/17/2006 10:45:41 PM
there's an espn.com column about how this is the best bottom quarter of the bracket ever.http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2368106
3/17/2006 10:47:19 PM
i think its just because the selection committee did such a shitty job this year
3/17/2006 10:47:36 PM
this has been the best first round in a LONG LONG LONG time
3/17/2006 10:53:03 PM
definitelygod i love march madness
3/17/2006 10:53:57 PM
just trying to figure something out for something like average seed, but the math doesnt seem rightok so if you get an average of the seeds remaining before the first round, its 8.5 [(1+2+3...+16)/16]if all the top seeds won, the average before the 2nd round would be 4.5. if all the lower seeds won, the average would be 12.5. so the range is 4.5-12.5as of now, the Minneapolis region is finished with the first round, and their average is 6Oakland - if Kansas wins its 5.75, if Bradley wins its 6.875Atlanta - if Texas wins its 7.125, Penn wins its 8.75DC - 2 games left, dont wanna fuck with iti dont even know what im trying to figure out, someone tell me. i know higher average means more upsets
3/17/2006 11:06:22 PM
figuring out the chances and upset potential of one bracket over another perhaps?or the chances that an upset will happen in that bracket
3/17/2006 11:10:53 PM
except its not really chances, cause its not really a statistic, you can't use it to predict anything
3/17/2006 11:11:36 PM
i hope uk can hang on to that lead
3/17/2006 11:51:49 PM
it was more to gauge how many upsets there were, i thought it was cool at the time
3/18/2006 1:58:01 AM
what's the time on the Boston College game tomorrow (today)http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/ncaa/men/2006/ncaa_tourney/brackets/repost of first round resultsalso it is interesting that no teams scored 100 points at all in the first round[Edited on March 18, 2006 at 3:58 AM. Reason : ]
3/18/2006 3:54:50 AM
The Dukies are beatin up on GW baby! Coach K is phenominal!/Vitale
3/18/2006 2:40:23 PM
I'm trying to figure out why Duke is playing before Boston College, since BC played first the other day
3/18/2006 2:40:55 PM
HAHAHAH Duke guy missed the dunkI hate Duke so much
3/18/2006 2:42:44 PM
Because the 1st Saturday game is a national broadcast. It's always got someone with national appeal, like Duke or Notre Dame or UConn
3/18/2006 2:43:37 PM
so it seems to me like this year is the first year (or at least the first year that I've noticed it) that announcers call the game before it is overin the Duke GW game, they already called it with over 3 minutes leftnow it's obvious that Duke is gonna win, but I remember in past seasons that they wouldn't call it for sure until maybe the last 20 seconds, or the last possession, or better yet, when the game is ACTUALLY overI think it's kinda unclassy to call the game before it's over, even if it is obvious
3/18/2006 3:14:20 PM
Anyone see that Pitt game last night? Kent State hasn't seen shooters like that since 1970!
3/18/2006 3:17:19 PM
I'd also like to figure out why this announcer doesn't know how to say WashingtonGEORGE WARSHINGTON!
3/18/2006 3:24:13 PM
GMINSKI!
3/18/2006 3:26:13 PM
Round 2 is my second favorite round of the tournament.Games all day long and 90% of the teams are real (not 12-16 seeds every other game)Roudn 3 is my favorite cause you still have games all day and there are some marquee matchups.
3/18/2006 3:34:06 PM
ROUND 2FIGHT!round 1 seemed to be alot more exciting than this one just because today's teams are really lame to watch
3/18/2006 3:35:33 PM
Anyone else surprised/disappointed with the attendance at the games?
3/18/2006 3:42:56 PM
attendance has been really bad in the first rounds of the NCAA the last ten years or so...THey started doing the regional shit because the sites were having so much trouble drawing fans.Maybe they need to start doing like womens basketball and playing home games....I think the main problem is... id love to go to NCAA tourney games in Greensboro if it didnt mean missing all the other games...the last thing i wanna do is miss Northwesten States buzzer beater three because im stuck watching Duke-Southern (for $50 nonetheless)
3/18/2006 3:45:52 PM
florida needs to lose
3/18/2006 3:56:05 PM
are they not going to switch over to Boston College? wtf
3/18/2006 5:47:23 PM
go eagles and vols and illini
3/18/2006 5:52:06 PM
they won't switch to BC as long as this game is close
3/18/2006 5:53:32 PM
nope
3/18/2006 5:54:11 PM
I dont give a shit about non-ACC teamsthey should know that this is true for any of us in the NC region
3/18/2006 5:59:09 PM

3/18/2006 5:59:52 PM
