^The article makes a jab at the struggles of both. Frenchy is popular in Atlanta, but his popularity is shrinking every day so I'm not sure why Delta would enter into an endorsement deal with him. They'd have been better off with Smoltz or Giles, two equally popular players in Atlanta that don't carry the risk that Franceour does.[Edited on April 28, 2006 at 11:49 AM. Reason : s]

don't worry about him, Ernie. He's feeling what it feels like to have been a brave for the past 14 years and he's not used to it. It'll fade. Braves always play .500 ball until the all star break.
4/28/2006 2:55:22 PM
I'm really fed up with FSN South. They are showing hockey instead of Pedro vs. Smoltz. Oh wait, I get to watch the replay of the game now. Thanks a lot FSN South.
4/28/2006 9:49:23 PM
FSN never ever shows braves gamesunless you're in ATL or something, FSN is all oriolish
4/28/2006 9:57:56 PM
they show the braves on FSN out of winstonthey also have turner south
4/28/2006 10:16:37 PM
I have Turner South but that doesn't help me if the game is on FSN South and they are showing hockey instead of the Braves [Edited on April 28, 2006 at 10:23 PM. Reason : .]

could be the fact that we are in the FUCKING playoffs and baseball is still in april....and I am a braves fan, hurricanes fan, wolfpack fan, and panther fan so i think i can recognize what is most important at the time being.
4/29/2006 1:16:57 AM
Then they should have put the Braves on a different channel.
4/29/2006 9:03:12 AM

5/1/2006 3:24:40 PM
Huddy with the one hitter tonight....2-0 braves!!!!!
5/1/2006 9:17:03 PM
damn that one hit given up to jennings...shame when a pitcher breaks up another pitcher's no-hitter
5/1/2006 9:21:54 PM
hell of a game tonighttoo bad we still can't get offense and pitching clicking on the same night
5/2/2006 1:51:22 AM
yeah, unfortunately, it's going to take more pitching like last night for us to even be a challenger to the division title. Our bats aren't working.
5/2/2006 8:38:03 AM
The bats will come back around. 1-2-3 in the order are all coming back from a couple of weeks of not hitting so it will take a few games. I just hope we can avoid anymore injuries to important players. Damn Mets are rolling...
5/2/2006 9:19:08 AM
Saw another update on the sale of the Braves - still looks like Liberty Media in Colorado will get the bid. In the article, I saw this blip too:
5/2/2006 12:15:51 PM
yeah the whole thing stinks
5/2/2006 12:19:47 PM
The thing about it is who watches the Braves on Turner South the most? Probably die hard Braves fans that want to hear Skip, Don, Joe, and Pete. Putting on a couple of scrubs to do the play by play is only going to hurt their ratings even more. Fuck em....[Edited on May 2, 2006 at 2:31 PM. Reason : hh]
5/2/2006 2:31:07 PM
Yeaht that really sucks ass man... Geez, I've been listening to Van Wieren and Sutton call the game since... my God, since I was a little kid. This definitely sucks.PLEASE TED TURNER, BUY BACK THE BRAVES AND TS AND THE REST OF IT AND GIVE IT TO ME! I'LL MAKE SURE TRAVESTIES SUCH AS THIS NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN
5/2/2006 2:35:59 PM

5/4/2006 8:48:33 PM
You guys know if the games this weekend are on TBS? I hate having to use the laptop to watch games on MLB.tv.. even though Skip drives me insane.
5/4/2006 9:48:21 PM
yeah, all three are on tbsand skip is starting to wear on me too
5/4/2006 9:50:17 PM
So, when is Reitsma moving back to a setup role?
5/6/2006 12:59:05 PM
fuck it, let moylan close
5/6/2006 1:38:46 PM
Well at least we avoided the sweep. C'mon braves... 8 games out. We got to get it together.
5/7/2006 6:34:35 PM
5/7/2006 7:39:39 PM
We got another. Renteria is proving to be quite the ss going 2 for 5 at the plate last night and hitting over .350 on the season. I barely miss raffy.
5/10/2006 8:44:57 AM
6 games against the marlins should get things turned around
5/10/2006 10:37:26 AM
I wonder if Bobby has considered moving Renteria to the leadoff spot and Giles back to the #2 hole. I'm sure he'd hate to mess with how hot Edgar has been, but Giles just cannot get on base and I think moving him back to his customary #2 spot could help him. Neither player is going to steal many bases so it's a wash in terms of speed.
5/10/2006 3:10:56 PM
I was kind of curious as to why Edgar wasn't batting leadoff and Giles was. Edgar has pretty much always been a leadoff guy and Giles pretty much a 2 hitter... But I haven't won 2000+ MLB games and 14 Division titles (15 if you wanna count the one with Toronto) and a WS... I would hate to mess with Edgars hit streak but I think it's best if he leads off.
5/10/2006 3:14:07 PM
^ I don't ever really remember Renteria leading off. When he played for the Fish, I remember him hitting 2nd behind Luis Castillo, for the Cards he was either #2 or like #6, and for the Sox he hit #2 or #6 as well. I could be wrong though...
5/10/2006 3:19:52 PM
I thought he was leadoff for the Cards and Boston made him #2 and he wasnt happy.. I can't remember. I rarely pay attention to any other teams other than the Braves.
5/10/2006 3:21:59 PM
wtf is going on? This team will not be the NL east championsTonights pitching and overall ERA (game still in progress after a 4R 8th for the Fish)Davies - 8H, 4R, 4ER, 2BB, 5SO, 2HR, 5.31McBride - 0H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 0SO, 0HR, 5.79Moylan - 5H, 3R, 3ER, 0BB, 1SO, 0HR, 5.06Rietsma* - 4H, 4R, 4ER, 0BB, 0SO, 1HR, 7.42Remlinger - 0H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 0SO, 0HR, 4.35* 0.2IP. PLZ TO FIRE THIS MOTHERFUCKER. TRADE HIM FOR KOLB FOR GOD'S SAKE!
5/10/2006 10:09:31 PM
Reitsma does not have what it takes to be a closer. He sucks under pressure, can't strikeout anyone, and is inconsistent as hell. Pretty much the same as Kolb last year. I think the Braves should try Sosa as a closer once Ramirez is off the DL. He is a fire baller and might do better there than in long relief. Not like it's going to hurt considering Reitsma is about as worthless as Jose Lima.
5/11/2006 11:48:26 AM
it tears me apart to see an atlanta pitching staff this horrible. I grew up watching the braves. I remember maddux, glavine, and smotlz. The braves were never bats, we were always strong pitching... now we have neither
