9/22/2005 10:31:17 AM
^^hahaha, I'm not making any sort of comment about that one^yeah they do, the page is just loading slower than normal today for some reason http://www.nnvl.noaa.gov[Edited on September 22, 2005 at 10:44 AM. Reason : adsfasdf]
9/22/2005 10:43:51 AM
they keep changing their preditctions like 30 miles east/north every time they put out an advisory.that motherfucker is gonna come in at least at the texas/louisiana border
9/22/2005 11:57:10 AM
^^ Those aren't the same ones they used to have.I have several of Ivan that are much higher resolution and don't have the added maps.Even that one would be cool if they didn't put the extra graphics on it. I want just an areal color view of the storm. The NOAA logo is fine and so are the broders of the states but everything else needs to go away.
9/22/2005 12:17:09 PM
probobly too much traffic for them to handle.
9/22/2005 12:30:58 PM
Looks like another Lousiana storm to me.
9/22/2005 12:31:08 PM
yeah theyre dropping the ball on this one big time
9/22/2005 12:35:38 PM
Do they really need to label the eye?
9/22/2005 12:59:51 PM
The fact that they labeled a very well defined eye with a 25 mile diameter is kindof sad.
9/22/2005 2:21:54 PM
im so fucking tired of hurricane season.
9/22/2005 2:28:58 PM
2 more months to go
9/22/2005 2:31:10 PM

9/22/2005 2:32:22 PM
This is a buoy in the Gulf that the eye should pass within ~30 miles or so of.
9/22/2005 2:57:12 PM
9/22/2005 6:26:33 PM

9/22/2005 6:41:08 PM

9/23/2005 12:54:45 AM
9/23/2005 12:55:18 AM

10/5/2005 12:06:02 PM
Um, wow, that was fast.
10/5/2005 12:06:12 PM
The first advisory that the National Hurricane Center put out on the storm was >39 mph, so that's why it started immediately as a named storm. They've been keeping an eye on that area for the last day or two, but needed an actual closed circulation to form before it could be considered a tropical cyclone. The winds were higher than normal compared to when the closed circulation normally forms, so that's why it's "already" a storm. They put out the first advisory on it at 7:30am this morning.
