^you are addicted to TWW
5/3/2005 10:55:26 PM
I am gonna have to say that Mark Grudzelanic (sp?) is an AWESOME offseason pick-up. That man can field the shit out of second base. Plus he's a great average hitter.
5/4/2005 8:03:11 PM
That's it....SEAsON OVER in the Central.
5/5/2005 10:01:32 PM

5/7/2005 12:06:24 AM
albert is 2-2 with dos runs de casaonce againi'm thinking the pitchers were the ones on steroids...
5/9/2005 10:16:10 PM
22 and 1210 to 3 and the only one w/o a hit was friggin Pujols.
5/12/2005 4:48:46 PM
ahh shitRolen out six weeks
5/13/2005 7:20:24 AM
yeah, that sucks. Maybe Mabry will pull a "Bo Hart" and come up big during Rolen's absence.
5/13/2005 11:34:06 AM
the one word that best sums up baseball...you never knowscott rolen might just turn out to be wally pip 2005
5/13/2005 12:33:00 PM
Anyone see that fan give Pujols a "hug" last nite? i woulda turned and punched the faggot, but least Albert has more class than most (Gary Sheffield). He gave the damn guy the ball even.
5/18/2005 10:04:18 AM
bumpin cause Izzy's back!(now get your ass WELL, Rolen!!)
5/21/2005 11:42:17 AM
just turned on gametracker - eckstein has three errors in two innings suppan's line (according to espn):
IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST ERAJ. Suppan 3.0 5 6 0 0 2 1 58-41 4.01
5/22/2005 3:15:37 PM
i thought suppan was nice...every time i look or watch him he blows asshole. ...of course those errors don't help
5/22/2005 3:29:28 PM
They are unearned runs b/c the errors committed keep them from getting 3 outs, so anything that happens after that error that would not have happened if he made the play does not count against him. Eckstein had 3 errors in one game!!!!
5/23/2005 12:40:44 AM
no matter what..the Red Birds will be getting rings this year
5/23/2005 1:33:23 AM
Sup was on tonight32-16
5/29/2005 12:37:07 AM
have they surpassed the White Sox for best record in baseball yet? i need to check mlb.com.
5/29/2005 3:39:57 PM
nope, today's loss puts us 1/2 game behind the white soxhad we won, we would have completed a perfect homestand
5/29/2005 9:16:14 PM
hmm, our entire rotation has a combined total of 4 initials - J, M, C, and SMark MulderChris CarpenterMatt MorrisJason MarquisJeff Suppanthat's gotta mean something!likeCardinals Just Might (win the world) Series</bored at work>
5/31/2005 4:13:55 PM
wowthat is a level of fucking boredom i can't imagine
5/31/2005 4:48:45 PM
now if we could only have some good relievers besides JI...we would be in good shape.
5/31/2005 9:01:47 PM
It's embarassing when we only put up 1 run at Colorado.
6/1/2005 12:11:42 AM
very sad
6/1/2005 12:17:12 AM
FUCKIzzy blew the save, gave up three in the ninthI guess that 0.49 ERA couldn't last forever
6/2/2005 8:36:54 PM
yeah, they totally pissed that one away.i was about to BTTT this thread for the same reason, but you beat me to it.
6/2/2005 8:59:12 PM

6/3/2005 8:50:05 AM
I guess not too badI just saw this on espn.com

6/12/2005 10:19:02 PM
Carpenter's got a two-hitter going through seven innings...he threw a one-hit shutout two starts ago and took a three-hit shutout into the ninth last time out. This guy is so dialed in right now.game over, 4 hits, 11 Ks, CG Shutout[Edited on June 25, 2005 at 9:27 PM. Reason : .]
6/25/2005 9:07:45 PM
So, about the trade deadline. Do we make a move?Last year we lost the World Series not because the Red Sox were a better team. They were just built much better for the post season and a playoff run. It also didn't help that our bats went stone cold at the worst possible time. Now, we have 3 really good pitchers that will make up our playoff line-up, one of them being a left-hander that we have lacked for so long.If I had one wish, it would be for a decent middle reliever. Our post season rotation will probably be Carpenter, Morris, and Mulder, with Marquis stepping up into a middle relief slot. He is good, but not quite as reliable as I'd like to see. Al Reyes and Ray King have been really good though, so who knows.
6/25/2005 9:30:20 PM
time to go after Steve Kline
6/25/2005 9:57:28 PM
We need Rolen back...but I like that Taguchi dude...not a bad player at all. I think the cards can win it this year if their bats dont go cold. The pitching wasnt the greatest last year,, s its a little better this year, so it shouldnt be an issue. We seem to keep dropping some close low scoring games this season, so hopefully their bats will catch fire later this year and carry them through the playoffs.
6/25/2005 10:05:04 PM
I forgot to post it, but Darryl Kile died three years ago Wednesday (June 22)RIP 57[Edited on June 25, 2005 at 10:47 PM. Reason : .]
6/25/2005 10:43:22 PM
i love so taguchii will always remember himbecause the only cardinals game in STL i've seen went to 12 innings because he couldn't catch a regular fly ball in the 9th inning
6/26/2005 2:12:22 PM
haha...did they win?The last 3 cards games ive been to have been L's...and i think two of them have been to the Astros. I havent been in 2 years though...last time i went JD Drew hit a jack for them...so i guess that was a while back.
6/26/2005 3:35:48 PM
John Kruk just said that the Cards should go after The Rocket to solidify their pitching staff. Doing so would make us serious threats to win it all. thoughts??..that shit would be crazy, but it wont happen.
6/26/2005 7:29:41 PM
no, amazingly we lost in 12 innings to the Expos
6/26/2005 9:09:33 PM
and tonight we lost in 10 to the pirates ^^solidify our pitching staff? so we can have four aces instead of just the three...
6/26/2005 10:14:16 PM
well he said that Morris and Carpenter are the only two good ones right now. I personally think Moulder will come around, but the big thing is the bullpen...they have blown a few here lately. **this was Kruk talking, so il take it with a grain of salt.
6/26/2005 10:21:48 PM
meh, I disagree with the Krukster, mostly because I don't really care to see Roger Clemens in the birds on the bat. I agree that we need bullpen help. The last few Cardinals games I went to were (iirc) all wins. This was back in 2002 right after DK died, when we ended up finishing out the season after his death something like 60-35.
6/26/2005 11:48:48 PM
haha fuck that...il miss it. Ive been going since before I can remember. The first game I do remember I sat in the row behind the home dugout. I was about 5 then. Im kinda pissed cause I cant make it out to St. Louis this summer, and last summer we had a chance to go to a cards/cubs game when the division was still close...something got fucked up and we missed it. Its alright though...im sure the new stadium will kick ass.
6/27/2005 10:00:55 AM
yeah part of me wants to catch a game this seasonbut i saw one last yearout in the bleachers, where the real fans watch the game
6/27/2005 4:38:51 PM
I grew up in West Virginia, and I rode the bus with a kid named Corey Kruk, who was John Kruk's nephew. Apparently they were fairly close relatives (all incest jokes aside). Anyways, we always razzed him about his uncle being a redneck and having only one testicle. He took it pretty well though. I dunno. [/end pointless aside]
6/27/2005 5:06:02 PM
did somebody mention my testicle?
6/27/2005 11:20:38 PM
