I was wondering why Beasley was on there but I think he's out of contract soon or he's being actively shopped by Puebla so this is just more exposure for him.

Man trying to keep up with soccer and all the leagues and tournaments is pretty damn infuriating for a casual fan. I'm sure it's easy if you grew up following soccer, but for a guy trying to get more interested in it as an adult, it is just frustrating.
6/28/2013 9:00:24 AM
What do you mean in particular?
6/28/2013 9:17:05 AM
Pro Seasons seem ti overlap. Bayern just won champ league but that was last years champ league. This years premiere ended a montg ago but it seems like pro season is already starting. Players being bought sold and loaned is confusing. Relegation promotion is confusing. Internationally h ard to figure out why some cups dont matter. Confederate doesnt matter? Why brazil is not showin g their cards. A teams b teams c teams.

6/28/2013 5:18:10 PM
So bayern won the champiinsleague but then like 2 weks later had to skip our friendly because there was another tounament. K inda confusing if maui invitational w as right after the final four. Also champions league t eams play in 2 leagues at once so its not true promotion. Chelsea had a sjit year but won champiinwleague then went back to championsleague amd premiere league.
6/28/2013 5:25:35 PM
Bayern Munich is not the same as the German national team. And the Champions League isn't a league. It's just a long tournament. You have to have a qualification process for the tournament somehow.
6/28/2013 5:27:49 PM
^^^^^ I feel like the championship is on par with mls or the Swiss league or something
6/28/2013 5:29:26 PM
I feel you. Lol champions LEAGUE is not a league but none of this is confusing. I guess its less so than bcs at least[Edited on June 28, 2013 at 5:33 PM. Reason : my thimg is you xant have a tournament after the biggest one. it dilutes it]
6/28/2013 5:32:05 PM
^^^^^given that he followed your comment about Beasely's club team, I think he is talking about the fact that if you already pay attention to the USMNT and want to follow the players on their club teams, it's damn near impossible except for those in the MLS. Of course, that's just because our national team doesn't have much talent relative to the other top national teams. To break it down to something even easier for someone interested in getting into it--English Premier league, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A and German Bundesliga are the best leagues in terms of talent and prestige. Champions league takes the top teams from each domestic league and has them play each other the next year. It'd be like if the Miami Heat played a several month long tournament (while the next NBA season was happening) against the Chinese professional league champ, Italian champ, Australian champ, etc.[Edited on June 28, 2013 at 5:34 PM. My comment was actually meant for the last page. I didn't notice there was a new one. Also, apparently E Man had been drinking since about noon.
6/28/2013 6:06:18 PM
I didn't mean anything against the Championship's quality. You just don't hear a single thing about it over here.
6/28/2013 6:08:33 PM
You guys are wrong. I talked to brasilians before the game and confed cup is a huge deal. Its the biggest internqtional cup after world cup. Juat because its not as big doesnt mean it doesnt matter.
6/30/2013 7:02:07 PM
The NIT is huge too. The biggest tournament after the NCAA...
6/30/2013 7:03:04 PM
Brazil scoring at will, Spain playing horrible.Ramos misses a PK, must be hungover from too many caipirinhas.[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 7:14 PM. Reason : Game over]
6/30/2013 7:07:47 PM
Fail! Had to have that to get back in this.
6/30/2013 7:13:23 PM
Not making excuses for Spain, but the pitch isn't really helping their pretty tiki-taka
6/30/2013 7:14:44 PM
Brazil should be able to get another goal.
6/30/2013 7:27:33 PM
This is an ass beating brazil should step on their throat and send them home with that WTF just happened do we suck now feeling
6/30/2013 7:28:03 PM

6/30/2013 7:28:14 PM
what a pointless red card tackle by pique.[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 7:28 PM. Reason : .]
6/30/2013 7:28:31 PM
^^I agree, but in terms of relevance, the statement holds true[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 7:29 PM. Reason : .]
6/30/2013 7:28:59 PM
How do uou measure relevance. Brasil are flying high and happy rigjt now. Italy was happy to het 3rd. Spain fans are pissed
6/30/2013 7:36:01 PM

6/30/2013 7:41:28 PM
Thats how every championship is until the next one. ror the next year eve ryone will remembee this
6/30/2013 8:16:58 PM
6/30/2013 9:23:53 PM
Not a pointless tournament from a Brazilian Point of View. Get to see how the infrastructure might hold up during the World Cup, and if I heard correctly, the Brazilian National Team doesn't have another meaningful game until the World Cup next year. This was a good chance for them to play together as a team leading up to the tournament.Maybe the beatdown will allow Spain to get their head right going into the World Cup next year too.
7/1/2013 1:37:28 PM
That was a fun game to watch. Spain had their chances, but Brazil missed a few gimmes as well. I haven't seen a team disrupt Spain's ball movement like Brazil did yesterday..it was incredible to watch. Commentators (and stories written after the game) made it sound like Brazil was playing dirty...but to me it just looked like they were extremely aggressive. As nice as the goals were...the goal-line save by Sideshow Bob was the best part of the game to me. I thought that was incredible and was a ridiculous momentum changer seeing that they scored their second goal immediately after that.

Donovan and Holden were quite impressive past night. If we could put this all together somehow it could be our best national side ever in Brazil.
7/6/2013 9:00:03 AM
Pissed I forgot to record it. And it wasn't on espn so I can't watch the replay on espn3.
7/6/2013 2:30:11 PM
Stu fuckin' Holdenif he's back at 100% this time next year, we're in business
7/7/2013 12:59:50 PM

7/7/2013 9:25:57 PM

7/7/2013 9:29:02 PM
damn they lost to a country i've never heard of.
7/7/2013 9:42:58 PM
motherfucker ain't never heard "kokomo"
7/7/2013 9:46:47 PM
It's not a country and it's not a member of FIFA. It's sort of a scam squad, being that much of it is made up of French citizens that have little or no relation to the island.
7/8/2013 12:37:39 AM
I'm 50/50 on the Mexico game in Columbus. I really don't need to spend the money and take the vacation days but this will be the last chance for a Mexico Columbus game, I'm pretty sure.
7/8/2013 12:12:39 PM
Bump for Belize.
7/9/2013 10:58:03 PM
So..does their coach have a dip in?
7/9/2013 11:11:03 PM

Ha, was thinking the Belize coach looked like Nick Swardson. Twitter search agrees.
7/9/2013 11:54:50 PM
Why is this game on so late, can't stay up for the second half. Hope the US scores another 3 goals.
