whatever they did to this game over the strikeout (new rule changes, etc) has made it much more entertaining to watch.I couldnt give a fuck when watching carolina in 2002 when they were in the finals, but I got really into these games, even when they were getting their asses beat.

^wtf?Every Duke-UNC game in the last 22 years and all but a few DT games and all Ric Flair title changes are bigger than last nights game? He is fucking reaching.
6/20/2006 12:17:34 PM
i'd say it's in the top five. the big thing about this game is that it unites the entire state (and area). it's not JUST the carolina fans or duke fans or state fans.
6/20/2006 12:22:22 PM
6/20/2006 12:23:42 PM
^there is a definite and substantial difference....no doubt about itit went back to a little more clutching and grabbing as the playoffs moved on, but in the regular season, touch up offsides, the new goalie rules, and the increased penalty calls were all obvious
6/20/2006 12:25:59 PM
^^ its very possible that these two teams just play much more upbeat and fast pace than detroit and carolina did back then.whatever happened I like this much better.

6/20/2006 1:25:37 PM
Haven't seen this angle of the Adams "No Goal" anywhere yet... I didn't realize just how far the puck was in the goal. Pointless, I know.[Edited on June 20, 2006 at 1:38 PM. Reason : .]

I hate to tell you guys this, but the Stanley Cup IS NOT the oldest trophy in professional sports. The America's Cup has been competed for since 1851. This is somewhat humorous that OLN would say that the Stanley Cup was the oldest when they carry America's Cup coverage.
6/20/2006 2:17:21 PM
jesus, can't you people just sit back and have a laugh every once in awhile?
6/20/2006 2:20:15 PM
Well, then there's the fact that hardly anyone knows or cares about the America's Cup.
6/20/2006 2:20:33 PM
6/20/2006 2:21:56 PM
Yeah, and the FA Cup has been around 10 years longer then the Stanley Cup too..
6/20/2006 2:23:17 PM
^^I didn't say that made your point any less valid. I was just saying nobody knows or cares about it.
6/20/2006 2:28:17 PM
6/20/2006 2:38:20 PM
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
6/20/2006 3:11:53 PM
6/20/2006 3:12:42 PM
yes that age-old tradition of everyone having their day with it
6/20/2006 3:14:05 PM
America's Cup is the oldest continuous trophy in sports. (only 32 races have occurred)No one got paid to compete in the America’s Cup race, there for it was not a professional sport. It is considered a professional sport today, I think. The Stanley Cup is the oldest trophy in PROFESIONAL sports.
6/20/2006 3:15:03 PM
yea, i made the Truman canes pic back when that magazine was printed before we won the cup officially
6/20/2006 3:17:25 PM
