The hat Donald Trump is willing to the hurricane area is available for sale for $40 on Donald Trump's website none of the money goes to the flood victims all of it goes to Donald Trump and his reelection campaign.

https://www.gq.com/story/joe-arpaio-historyThese stories of Joe's prisons are insane but I think they are the tip of the iceberg of what goes on in our prisons. People love to point at North Korea and their prisons but we have far more prisoners than anywhere else and can't hold our head high about the way we treat them. Most of the human dignity has been stripped away. Even a pregnant woman was denied medical attention. Americans don't care. In fact, they support it because they know its happening to people they think are Mexicans, black or in gangs.
8/30/2017 9:32:01 AM
well if they are in prison then they must have done something to deserve it right?
8/30/2017 9:40:05 AM
^^Criticism of our penal system is 100% valid and there is a ton of fucked up shit. But it is not even in the same universe when compared with North Korea.

8/30/2017 11:25:05 AM
it is when you account for the wealth and chokehold our power system has over the people. nk has literal existential threats putting people into their country in an attempt to topple the government and create instability. meanwhile its always happened in america just because people have a certain skin tone. far more disgusting.

I think the border wall money should be used for disaster relief. We all know Mexico isn't paying for it.
8/30/2017 12:11:15 PM
we need to cut FEMA to pay for the wall so mexico can pay for it
8/30/2017 2:00:12 PM
^^I bet Mexico would fund the exact cost of the border wall if it went entirely to hurricane relief

If there is one thing that makes me want to throw myself into oncoming traffic it's listening to the GOP, and especially Trump, discuss taxes. The dumb flows freely.Let's start with corporate taxes are choking innovation and investment:The actual receipts as a % of GDP have hardly changed in 35 years. This issue is totally blown out of proportion IMO*fingers crossed for failure*
8/30/2017 6:22:28 PM
the only innovation that's affected by corporate taxes is the innovations they come up with to avoid corporate taxes
8/30/2017 7:28:16 PM
When i read this earlier i forgot to ask how you know about what goes on in north korea
8/30/2017 7:38:16 PM
According to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Trump is going to donate $1 million to Harvey relief.I want to say good for him...if he goes through with it (all the Trumpkins already flooding the internet congratulating him as if the money was already in the victims' hands and all the problems have been solved).I also can't help but ask...why not say it himself? He could have been a real hero and made this pledge while he was in Houston, on national TV, in the company of the victims, and made a call for all other billionaires to do the same...you know, be a leader for once. Instead it came after he received so much crap for how he handled his trip, and put it out through someone else.Defending his pardon to a racist deserved his face time, but not a $1 million donation to people who lost their homes.

Once again, Donald Trump is a genius who is light years ahead of both parties when it comes to political strategy. He has put DACA in congress hands and no matter what happens, he can blame congress for the outcome and hold them accountable for it. At the same time, he is forcing the issue on immigration which is something both parties have avoided for years. Democrats don't want to appear to have the ability to do immigration reform so they can blame republicans for preventing it without having to take the responsibility for it and republicans don't want to seem mean but can't give amnesty to their base. Somethings got to give now. Democrats could have given amnesty but want to keep DACA which is really just a 2nd class citizenship. They knew DACA was temporary. I can't wait for liberals to come on here talking about how Trump created the problem for dreamers. [Edited on September 5, 2017 at 12:17 PM. Reason : if you cared about dreamers, you would have given them citizenship, not DACA]

One man's genius is another man's coward.
9/5/2017 1:04:10 PM
The two are not mutually exclusive. One can be a genius and lack morality. Donald Trump has the intellectual ability to achieve his goala at all costs. His lack of empathy or moral compass is why you call him a coward. Perhaps you would rather argue that most other politicians are as smart as him but their alleged moral courage restricted them from showing it. One could also argue that it takes courage to make the controversial moves he has made. [Edited on September 5, 2017 at 2:35 PM. Reason : i would still disagree. they are all playing the game. hes just playing it better. ]

The only thing stopping Congress from passing immigration reform or even a small bill that directly addresses the DREAMers is an informal "rule" named after a serial child molester.

Who saw 60 minutes???? WOW, I am more terrified after watching the Bannon interview. The guy is also a genius and that interview makes me think Trump has this all in a master plan to get his people in the midterm elections. I think the DACA decision was precisely planned with a 6 month time period to inject itself into the primary season and start a civil war in the republican party where Trump can pick winners and losers for the midterm elections. Trump is going to put pressure on people to pass his legislature or he will publicly challenge them in 2018. This is scary because I don't think the base or republican party understands what is going on and if history says anything, Trump will surely be 10 steps ahead and outsmart everyone to get his political outcome. The media can't respond correctly because they won't let go of the narrative that Trump needs the GOP establishment to get anything done. Trump is going to try to do what he calls "draining the swamp". You can already hear him hinting at rallies when he rags on mccain and others for not doing healthcare.
9/11/2017 1:13:00 AM
can you describe a possible scenario or two where you'll admit Trump isn't a genius and were wrong about everything? Just in case...
9/11/2017 7:01:35 AM

9/11/2017 9:59:24 AM
How about if the republicans don't gain seats in the midterms as you were just discussing?
9/11/2017 10:01:19 AM
i was discussing trump putting pressure on republicans amd attacking the ones who dont support him. that actually helps the democrats unless the republicans support trump blindly. hes putting them in a tough position to have more infighting. divide on conquer. if they lose its on them.even if they somehow lose the house, his blame it om comgress excuse works even better in 2020. thats whats so genius about these strategies he sets things up so that it either benefits him or still benefits him.[Edited on September 11, 2017 at 10:15 AM. OK, so now do you need to put any parameter around those 3 things you mentioned above, like, "Oh he only lost the primary because he didn't want to do the job any more, he's still a genius and I was still right"?Also what if he steps down, does that count as proving you're wrong as well?

Trump Tweet: 'No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote.'
9/14/2017 7:49:15 AM
Since everything trump tweets I automatically assume is a lie, then a deal was made?
9/14/2017 7:53:53 AM
More likely to believe that they left thinking a deal was made and the President Cheetoh decided to renege.
9/14/2017 8:43:02 AM
^^ Probably - my money is on the White House doubling down on saying that nothing was decided then start walking that back as "new details" emerge. Gotta have a sense of consistency somewhere after all! [Edited on September 14, 2017 at 8:46 AM. Reason : ^^]

^^,^^^ the Alt-right's tears are good enough for me right now. Anything that makes them question the orange savior is a small win in my book.
9/14/2017 8:53:39 AM
Even if Trump agreed that they made a "deal", what would that even mean? The president and two leading democrats can't just decide on parameters like that and just make it happen regardless of what they "agreed" to can they?
9/14/2017 8:55:37 AM
I'm guessing congressional leadership would torpedo anything pretty quickly. But as congressional GOP repeatedly fails all over itself, on this issue and basically everything else it touches, Dems can basically say "hey, here is a fully hashed out bill the president was interested in" and see if a frustrated leadership would bring it to a vote. You're right that this "deal" is kinda meaningless as far as legislation coming to the floor immediately, but it does create leverage for Dems to either soften whatever the GOP comes up with or inject their own bill whenever they can.
9/14/2017 9:02:17 AM
It's a win/win either way. They pass this and the DREAMers are protected while creating chaos going into the 2018 election with an enraged right looking to primary everyone who voted for this. They don't pass it and it means the majority party is rebelling against its own President ...... causing chaos going into the 2018 elections.
9/14/2017 1:02:57 PM
Maybe it's just me, but chaos and triggered bases on either side do not serve us well collectively.Really tired of both sides refusing to collaborate and actually solve problems. I'm tired of bases being the electorate for both parties. I'd rather have one 6 year house term and one 10 year senate term, and that's it. Let them get in, do the goddamned work that needs to be done and move on.
