well, the governor is back. This episode sucked and i'm starting to lose hope that this show will regain itself. The first episode or two was good...and its gone downhill since
11/10/2013 10:01:48 PM
I actually enjoyed this episode. It was great to see a dual threat inside and outside. Looking forward to the Govn'r coming back.... III
11/10/2013 10:10:27 PM
very intense episode.so i assume the governor has been luring zombies... sorta wish they would've been done with him last season though.
11/10/2013 10:13:09 PM
they are STILL not killing off any of the primary cast. I thought Glen was gone but NOPE, they refuse to do it. no one cares about the governor. Michonne is going to put that ass to sleep.
11/10/2013 10:14:13 PM
pretty boring episode
11/10/2013 10:40:07 PM
^yeah, action mixed with suspense literally the entire episode = boring.
11/10/2013 10:47:25 PM
Exciting episode. Two very real threats plua the governor lurking about. Carl wasn't useless and Herschel got to be a hero. It drove me crazy knowing that someone had turned and watching Herschel do other stuff. Also creepy girl needs to go ahead and die. "I thought he could follow directions?"
11/10/2013 11:25:54 PM
Are we also going to have to deal with a Carol side-story? Or is she going to be gone for good? Never really that interesting of a character, so if she goes, in my opinion, no big loss. I hope they don't do something stupid and have darryl go looking for her.Governor back - snooozeOnce Glenn is better they need to get the people that are either well or healing and just GTFO.
11/11/2013 7:26:42 AM
as suspenseful and touching as the Herschel scenes were the Assault Rifle zombie massacre and the return on the Governor really made this a pretty lame episode. "Hey Carl this is how you hold an AR." =Carl has 99% accuracy. and the Governor lurking in the bushes was just that being said, i'm glad the sickness seems to be behind them. as serious as the threat was i'm ready to move on to something else. just not blanket zombie waves and a dork with an eye patch.also, how often has this show used lyrical music over solemn scenes? I don't recall it happening much, if at all in the earlier seasons. but this is twice in two weeks. and while both were good choices, it just didn't feel right for the show]
11/11/2013 8:59:51 AM
I'm just ready for them to leave the prison.
11/11/2013 9:06:44 AM
i'm ready for the next big thing for them. as much as i've enjoyed the prison, it's starting to get like the farm in S2, old and stale. i don't think the show can realistically keep them there for much longer.
11/11/2013 9:14:31 AM
Also, I find it unrealistic the number of people from Woodbury who voluntarily agreed to be locked in the "sick ward." I don't see how at least one of them hasn't said to the crowd "We left Woodbury for this?? Lets go back."
11/11/2013 9:26:43 AM
well most of them are dead now
11/11/2013 9:32:25 AM
11/11/2013 1:42:16 PM
i thought this was a pretty badass episode. i thought the scene with rick and carl mowing down was particularly compelling
11/11/2013 8:57:28 PM
Another boring episode, I'm done with this show.
11/11/2013 9:05:59 PM
I like how the previews of the next episode (no spoiler really) just show the governor sitting by a campfire, with his lack of depth perception, just calmly sitting down on the ground out in the wilderness, not wanting to do anything about the walker approaching him, thirsty for flesh...and then the dumbass walker just falls into the fire...like some guy who can't see that well and is used to having machine guns, tons of people watching his back who also have machine guns, and the fortification of Woodbury is just gonna sit down in the forest and enjoy a nice fire
11/12/2013 3:49:48 AM
Sometimes you just wanna get away from it all and relax.
11/12/2013 6:07:30 AM
This was a great episode IMO. I also could not care less about the governor. He has always been a shitty character and I wish they would just forget about him. He should have died with the blonde woman whos name is already forgettable.
11/12/2013 10:01:33 AM
^I agree with everything you said
11/12/2013 10:21:22 AM
I'm liking this season, although some of the acting has been really suspect (herschel was really annoying me in this last one)
11/12/2013 10:30:07 AM
the governor was great last season, but they should have killed him off then. now it's just going to get played out. this was the best episode of this season, but that's not saying much.

This show needs to look at game of thrones. Killing characters can be awesome for a show. My gf cried during the blood wedding. Sadly this is a good show with bad writers, this show will be canceled soon.
11/12/2013 2:07:36 PM
we get it man, you don't like it (yet you continue to watch it and comment on the internet about it, which i don't understand)(and in the first few seasons, regulars were killed weekly)
11/12/2013 2:10:22 PM
11/12/2013 3:01:31 PM
^This. Its season premiere was the highest rated show on TV beating the NFL which nothing can.
11/12/2013 3:07:53 PM
yea AMC is keeping this around a while... this is their cash cow. they're already planning to do a spin off/secondary TWD series too.
11/12/2013 3:08:11 PM
AMC has nothing else in the hopper. this is ALL they have.
11/12/2013 3:21:19 PM
is Mad Men not a show anymore? they keep shit in rotation[Edited on November 12, 2013 at 4:02 PM. Reason : dd]
11/12/2013 3:58:40 PM
Wrong. My watching doesn't count since its online streaming and not from AMC. Unlike you noons I don't pay for this show. I actually loved it at first but now its a show about people living in a prison. If you're a fanboy and can't admit this show is going downhill.....

You are a little old to be posting on a forum.

My guess is Herschel played such a big role in this last episode, so we'd care about him some when he gets eaten by walkers next week Or maybe it's just to continue the theme that humanity keeps keeping on despite these horrible conditions
11/12/2013 9:05:53 PM
Hershel was on point last episode.
11/12/2013 9:15:09 PM
That was a great walking dead ep until the last two minutes. Obviously the governor was a dumb reveal thatnob odywwants, but also, Daryl doesn't immediately want to know what happened to whasherface??
11/12/2013 11:07:53 PM
I don't know if Hershel gets eaten next week, but I could see the Governor killing him to rile the troops in the prison.
11/13/2013 8:48:53 AM
I hope he doesn't go out like a punk. It'd be awesome if the Governor got more than he bargained for. I want to see Herschel beating the Governor with his prosthesis.

Scott Wilson, who plays Herschel, was awarded a basketball scholarship to play at Georgia's Southern Tech University, but hitchhiked to LA instead. He played alongside Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger in In the Heat of the Night in '67 and In Cold Blood (Capote book) also in '67. Also in the Great Gatsby in '74.
11/13/2013 12:17:19 PM
to add to the speculation, Talking Dead is featuring a surprise guest cast member on Sunday. typically, in the past this has meant a major character dies off and that person is who the special guest is afterwards.
11/13/2013 12:24:45 PM
maybe it'll be the governor.please kill him off.please.
11/13/2013 12:28:38 PM
was hoping maggie would see zombie glen eating herschel while she was trying to bust through that window in the last episode. oh well, maybe he'll turn and eat her instead.
11/13/2013 5:39:44 PM
YEAH he will.
