Linda i am going to run Bond Park on Saturday. The trails aren't very long. I'll probably criss-cross a bunch of them to make it a longer run but you're welcome to come with me for part (or all) of a run

I teach yoga at 11am so I can go before or after. I'd prefer before because it won't be as hot.

Ughhhhhh

I found out that until all testing is done (i.e., endoscopic biopsy after my blood test comes back if it shows a positive result), I have to have some gluten in my diet

Guess I'm making cupcakes tonight

I'm not a big pizza fan... But I didn't eat the tortellini at the wedding the other night so maybe I'll have that.

My sister got me a pretty sweet cupcake cookbook so I am definitey going to make something from there. The raspberry mint one caught my eye

Sounds like biting into a bunch of worms

No thanks

But I now have my heart set on tortellini for dinner... Any good brands recommended? It does kind of suck thinking how horrible I will feel after. :/ I guess that's part of the waiting game.

On a different note, I think I might try to enter in a taekwondo competition. Maybe in the spring

HT has some good ones in their "HT Traders" or whatever they call it section, the refridgerated section by the sushi.

Maybe your store is set up differently, idk

All grocery stores have the refrigerated tortellini. At HT by us it's in the back near the cheeses.

With all this talk of pasta, pizza, and cupcakes, I think we should transition this over to a "2011-2012 WINTER BODY CHALLENGE" thread.

Dude, really? Depriving yourself of things like that (or things you enjoy) is going to make you a miserable person. And just because someone has one of the above doesn't mean they are going to get fat all of a sudden

I was making fun the fact that this is a "Beach Body" thread, and you don't get a cut physique unless you eliminate or severely limit the amount of high calorie starchy foods you take in. I wouldn't take it so seriously.

You can have a beach body without depriving yourself. Uber cut isn't necessarily everyone's goal. It's best for most people to shoot for healthy, balanced and sustainable.

Health, confidence and happiness. What more could you want?

I saw this dude at work take his diet a little too seriously today and officially called him out on it. Someone brought donuts and people were grabbing them, I'm about to go get one when I see Todd in there and he kinda looks around to see if anyone's looking (doesn't see me), and he takes a knife and then this motherfucker cuts a THIRD of a donut. Not a half, a third. He measured the shit out too, made like a protractor with the spork. I see him take a bite, obviously pleased with his work, and I go in there like "You gotta be kidding me" and he tries to play it off as a "small half" and then finally admits it and we lol

Lesson...watch what you eat, but don't be a bitch.

That's like the chicks I know who will chew up a cookie and then spit it in the trash. LOL

You absorb calories as soon as it's in your mouth. People are silly sometimes.

Joie you were on the right track.

While the calories consumed from the "chew and spit" are negligible, it still triggers the release of insulin which can lead to increased appetite and thus weight gain.

That habit is not good for your teeth. Plus, IMO, it's prob best to avoid habits that can trigger insulin spikes and sugar cravings.

We all have to have a vice or two!

It's one thing to eat a cookie and enjoy it. Or drink a soda and enjoy it. But there's something about chewing a cookie and spitting it in the trash that seems less enjoyable in comparison.

Vernon's diet is better!

I got my girlfriend to mostly give up soda for this:

I realized what I liked about soda was the bubbly part. This solves it and there's nothing in it but some flavor and co2!

Is that painful, Sam?

I only ask because that's what happens to me when I eat dairy ... and the bloat is accompanied by stabbing pains. I feel bad for you.
