I thought he said something to the effect of, "I killed her and would have killed the baby too until I looked at it and realized it was my son" or something along those lines. I'd have to re-watch but I took it as he had her killed.

I think he said he was going to have her whipped and throw the baby in the river. Not saying he didn't have her killed, but they don't make it clear at all.[Edited on May 12, 2015 at 8:51 AM. Reason : ]

I mean, if Dragonstone is made of obsidian or whatever, why couldn't they just tip a few arrows with it and call it a day - doesn't seem like it would have to be as epic as they're making it out to be.It also looks like a battle of three armies type situation with Stannis/Starks/Dorne/Eerie vs. Lannisters/Boltons/Tyrells? vs. Targaryen/Dragons.You'd also have to hope that the worg / tree people / faceless men stuff plays some sort of role otherwise those story lines are pretty pointless.I'm also really hoping that The Hound comes back.
5/12/2015 11:54:19 AM
^Going to take it that Dragonstone is somewhat rare, but could be completely wrong.
5/12/2015 12:27:44 PM
Dragon Stone is an island that is very rich in dragon glass aka obsidian. It is somewhat rare elsewhere
5/12/2015 12:32:49 PM
Isn't it dragonglass? Dragonstone is a place.I have a feeling the Faceless Men plot is going to eventually come back to Westeros in the form of Arya getting revenge for all that has been done to her family, and she'll not be a part of the war, but will end up picking off a major player or two.
5/12/2015 3:05:11 PM
Have we seen Dragonstone the place? Which place is it?Also, I'm glad the storyline with the HODOR and other kid who sees thing is left out. That was extremely boring to me.
5/12/2015 3:29:36 PM
Dragonstone is where Stannis' story started. It was where that cool table/map of Westeros was. Supposedly, it was where the Targaryans landed in Westeros and began their invasion and conquered the continent.
5/12/2015 3:37:06 PM
Kingslanding is where the targs came to westeros, dragonstone was their home during the doom of valyria. It's off the coast of westeros and was as close as the freehold came to westeros
5/12/2015 3:55:49 PM

I was not impressed tonight, and really didn't like the end.

I couldn't disagree more. Excellent episode. I was really hoping Reek would finally break out of it at the end.

Trigger warning

Tommen needs to grow some balls. He's got an army of dudes in plate armor with swords and shields vs an army of dudes in robes with sticks.

The more I watch this show the worse it gets. The acting is what saves this show, but I feel it may be a losing battle.I binge watched the show from Season 1 to Season 5 Episode 3 and I was expecting something MUCH better than this from what everyone had said. Ever since Joffrey died the show has lost a lot of appeal and I am hoping that "winter is coming" will be what saves it. Hell I was even disappointed by the sex and the violence. Sure there is plenty of sex, but I feel I have seen as much gay sex as I have hetero (and incest). How come there is no bestiality or postmortem? I think HBO should show support to everyone and not just the big three .The violence... Every time you think there is going to be an actual battle all we get is some obvious cost saving mild ruckus (see Westeros Dark Sea battle). The only decent battle was on the wall.Let me emphasize that I REALLY wanted to love this show, but it is 5 seasons in and I'd only give it a 7/10. BTW, just how many seasons are yall expecting this thing to run? There is one thing I really like about the show, they take their time developing stories, but this can be a shortcoming if not properly executed. For example after Season 2-3 you knew there was noway that they were going to kill Daenerys.HBO, please give us some "The Wire" or " The Sopranos" level writers please. I look forward to Silicon Valley as much or possibly more than Game of Thrones (Mike Judge is a genius).[Edited on May 18, 2015 at 12:41 AM. Reason : _]

I thought last night's episode was really good. Then again, they focused on the story-lines that I find most appealing.Has Baelish sold Stansa out? Or is it all part of his plan?
5/18/2015 5:38:18 AM
It appears he has sold her out as part of his plan.

I wish they would do to Cersei what they did to Sansa last night.
5/18/2015 11:17:30 AM
did you forget jamie kinda-sorta raping her next to their kid's dead body in the sept?
5/18/2015 12:06:16 PM
This season has been disappointing. The scenes at the Wall have been really good, but they don't make up for the colossal fuckup that the Dornish plot has become. Is someone different in charge of the writing/directing/editing every time a scene in Dorne happens? Like someone that got laid off at the SyfY network? Combine that with the shitty accents and it's like laughably horrible.
5/18/2015 1:32:58 PM
Sansa's character has been annoying since season 1, finally someone put her in her place. Now they need to kill her off.[Edited on May 18, 2015 at 2:08 PM. Reason : ,]
5/18/2015 2:08:10 PM
5/18/2015 2:28:48 PM
^Yeah but if they tried to actually do anything to Cersei or Tommen then you know this whole deal would be over as Cersei would have this little rebellion group squashed. She's letting them do her bidding right now.
5/18/2015 2:57:24 PM
Damn, I forgot she had multiple incest children haha. I was referring to Joffrey there.
5/18/2015 3:11:05 PM
All of her kids are incest babies, her husband never hit it.If Reek does kill him I'll probably celebrate it more than Joffreys death[Edited on May 18, 2015 at 3:51 PM. Reason : ,]
5/18/2015 3:51:12 PM
Joffrey's death was so anti-climatic. I really hope when they kill off characters like Cersei and Ramsay that they will go with something better than poison. I was looking forward to a torture kill by someone that Joffrey or his family had wronged. BTW, I found a review of Game of Thrones that says some of the same things that I said in my post halfway up the page.http://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/television/john-doyle-what-saves-game-of-thrones-is-the-acting/article23878554/

^^you're crazy man. maybe you got your hopes up way too much or something but there has been plenty of violence, more amounts of hetero sex, and plenty of surprises. maybe poison wasn't the craziest thing to happen to Joffrey but it was surprising, and it was the most plausible way to kill a king - at his own wedding no less. the viper vs. mountain scene, the red wedding, the wall battle, Dany taking the unsullied, all very badass scenes. I try to avoid spoilers but anyone who has read the book will tell you that this was expected to be a bit of a down season action-wise.
5/18/2015 4:38:10 PM
Oh great another thread blackjesus has decided to take over
5/18/2015 5:27:37 PM
You guys do remember that HBO made Band of Brothers and The Pacific right? Yes those are only a single season, but there is more large scale warfare in either of those shows than the entire Game of Thrones series up to this point. I am not saying that Game of Thrones should have as much warfare as a WWII mini-series, I am just pointing out it is not a budget problem. Surely Game of Thrones makes HBO more money than both of those mini-series combined. We are talking about HBO, it's not like this ABC Family or something, haha. I am not saying we aren't seeing great fighting. The sword/weapon fighting in this series is beyond any other series I have seen. I was actually cringing in the mountain vs. the viper, that was GREAT. The show overall has excellent fighting, I just always feel deflated after I see a "battle". It probably is because I had my hopes too high, but I am not disappointed with the show. I guess after Joffrey died none of the other characters really grabbed a hold of me (in adoration or hatred) such as characters from HBO's The Wire for example.I was really just making a joke on the sex in the show I am definitely going to watch the show until it ends. I don't mean the show is "bad", I guess I was just expecting something more than "good" based on what I had read and heard about the show.^ BlackJesus or BlackDog? People get us confused when we are in the same thread.[Edited on May 18, 2015 at 5:45 PM. Reason : _]

Nah, I definitely agree she has been a whiny little bitch up until around Season 4. Once her and Joffrey were involved she just annoyed the hell out of me. When you binge watch the show from the start to catch up, stuff like this becomes more apparent. I hated Joffrey so much by the time they killed him that I was thoroughly impressed with Jack Gleeson.
5/18/2015 7:49:52 PM

5/19/2015 12:53:14 AM
someone explain the politics of westeros to me. So if everyone thinks Sansa is the last Stark, why don't they (whoever wants Winterfell) kill her off and grab Winterfell by force. Why is having her alive matters? Do they need her to legitimize any claims by marriage?
5/19/2015 1:27:40 AM
The northerners are loyal to the starkslearn to play the game of thrones, bitches[Edited on May 19, 2015 at 2:01 AM. Reason : ,]
5/19/2015 2:01:19 AM
Before the Targaryans took over, the north was its own kingdom and the Starks were the royalty. Everyone in the north is loyal to her bloodline. If they killed her, the north wouldn't recognize any of the authority even though Tommen says otherwise. By keeping her alive they have an uneasy peace knowing that she'll at least keep the Stark bloodline going.
5/19/2015 9:19:49 AM
I can see where he's coming from on the "Sansa has been annoying" statement. In a show where seemingly everyone is willing to throw down for simply looking at them the wrong way, she has "allowed" herself to be walked over & taken advantage of at nearly every opportunity. A few of the decisions were hers, some of them were out of her hands & standing up for herself may have been a worse decision, but she's definitely been the walking mat of the show. So if you don't like seeing people taking shit from everyone else then I can definitely see how she would annoy you[Edited on May 19, 2015 at 9:28 AM. Reason : too many commas]

5/19/2015 10:29:50 AM
I'll reluctantly agree that Sansa was pretty annoying in the beginning. I've only read the first book and hated her chapters. She's gotten to be pretty badass, though, and one of the more interesting story arcs.
5/19/2015 10:58:53 AM
I'd like to ask for one point of clarification, with regards to this past week's episode.Did any of the sand snakes escape with the Lannister girl? Or did the guards catch the snake that grabbed her before they could get away? Either way, why the fuck wasn't the Lannister girl screaming bloody murder?
