well with me being a foot type of guy, i prefer solid colors over the multi-colors. with it being summer time, i like to see oranges, pinks, some blues, yellow and black is always my favorite.

i've had pink for a while now....

usually pink in the summer and red in the winter...

but i want something different than what i'm wearing...yet every time i look for new polish it ends up being a variation of what i already use...

i have some orange so maybe i'll use that for a while

so....can we talk nails for a second?

i wanna get my nails done festively for the 4th. i typically get french tip, although lately i've been alternating white tips one week with colored tips another week, like lavendar or pale pink. i get so many compliments on my nails when i have colored tips!

should i do alternating red/white/blue tips, or will that look too gay? i'd be happy to upload a pic of my nails as they are now (pale pink tips) in case you need a point of reference.

if you think red/white/blue tips would be too silly, give me other suggestions. maybe a blue nail with red and white dots on it?

but sometimes my taste in color combinations is a little askew from everybody else's and I end up looking sorta like an Easter egg...

so i just wanted to make sure...

^hmmm...i guess it depends on how subtle you want to be...

if it's go all out and just have fun for the holiday then do the full color with the dots...

if you want more understated then so alternating tips

yeah i guess the blue nail with red/white dots/stripes would definitely stick out like a sore thumb, esp since i'm a fair-skinned (PALE) girl. perhaps the colored tips is the best way to go.

i tried to buy black shorts at Old Navy today and was SOL :/ (they had some, but I am not nor have ever been a size 0)

my coworker said to try Gap...got any other ideas?

just good ole, black, button and zipper down, with some pockets, cotton shorts.
no eyelets...no cuffs...not bermuda...not daisy dukes...just shorts.

they were high waisted, had cuffs, pleats, like 3 buttons...

American Eagle is where I got my black shorts a year or so ago. I'm no size 0 either and they had some in my size! They were cute too.

And LOL at the thumb ring, I used to wear one in high school except it was the cheap kind from Claire's or something and it stained my thumb.

ok, i'm really not big on crazy french tips/colors, but since you asked about them, thumper, here's what popped into my head.

red nails + white tips
or even regular or white nails + red tips
and, if you wanted to go to the tackier end (sorry, just my opinion), you could add blue or silver dots to each nail, like this.

^ We're going to a wine bar. And I may wear that silver/black tube top with a nice pair of white pants. That's a great suggestion. Though, even with a tube top and booty shorts, I'd still be covered up a little more than most of my Hor-Lando counterparts.
