I don't know if I fully believe that Carol did it (or alone) either. Putting that little girl in there when she didn't look really sick to me. Seemed more like a "go do what i taught you" or "this little girl needs jesus".

finally, the horde
was that Abraham on the radio?

Why are they going to the vet hospital to get antibiotics, when Herschel says later he needs to treat symptoms for the flu? I'm confused...is it bacterial or viral? Seems viral to me.
10/29/2013 3:46:04 PM
^I was thinking the same thing...Seems viral, yet they want to get antibiotics...
10/29/2013 4:51:29 PM
to treat the symptoms.as they said.

This isn't a spoiler, just throwing the code in this thread in case anybody premium (with html) wants to use it

the cough the girl gave before she went into the sick ward was pretty fake, but then again she could just be a bad actor

I like how when this flu goes around that all these extras are dying yet when Glenn gets it then they are out looking antibiotics. LOL. they will never kill anyone likeable off this show. Glen gots to die. I also like how the roles of Rick and Herschel have switched . Back two seasons ago Rick was the rational one and Herschel was the crazy one on the farm hording family zombies for God. Now Rick is insane and Herschel is the voice of reason. Herschel gots to die.lolI know I shouldn't talk about the comic but Cutty kicked Rick's ass in the fight. This show doesn't care about black people . lol
10/30/2013 2:30:58 PM
Yeah I wondered why they had Rick beat Tyrese's ass when in the comics, and really logistically based on their size/strength, Tyrese would hand Rick his ass, haha.
10/30/2013 3:16:34 PM
but rick is a cop... he has cop training.

Can someone explain to me how antibiotics treat flu symptoms? I mean, I thought they had one very specific purpose...to kill bacteria. Are there antibiotics out there that reduce fevers from flus? I mean I'm genuinely curious.
10/30/2013 5:23:57 PM
often times the flu results in secondary infections such as pneumonia that antibiotics do help.

Everybody has it. So everybody is eventually a zombie. You take 5 fairly small towns of 2000 people all eventually croaking, and you have a super horde.
11/1/2013 8:08:56 PM
Been thinking about this some since they hinted on it two seasons ago... Small groups formed within localized areas and as there were less living humans there were less ambient noises to attract them. Stuff like backup generators and power substations could have been early hot spots. Other small groups may have just formed on surface streets when hearing one another outside after eating their families. They are able to cover ground more easily when it is open space, so roads and interstates made easy travel corridors for them. Obviously the more popular roads and interstates were somewhat congested but still get used by survivors who need to cover ground in a hurry- and without a lot of other ambient noises, the sound of a passing car/truck would point a small group already congregated along one of these corridors in a certain direction. Once the herd gets large enough, it makes enough noise on its own to keep attracting more walkers, and moving as a group out of a low area like the one seen last week might be tough for so many of them.

I'd love to see a migration study of walkers... i wonder what animals would have the most similar patterns in nature?
11/1/2013 11:13:58 PM
That's a tough one. Coons maybe
11/2/2013 2:34:12 PM
Glen is likable?

srs discussion of completely unsrs topic is the best discussion
11/2/2013 4:23:35 PM
when are they going to make some armor? i'd like to see a zombie try to bite through some chainmail or a suit or armor
11/2/2013 5:33:01 PM
weren't they using the prison riot gear for a while? I'm not sure why we haven't seen more of that when they go out.
11/3/2013 12:34:47 PM
the discontinuity of the series is becoming a tiny issue for me as welllike when Carl and Hershel are out picking elderberries and Hershel tells Carl to let the walker go "you don't need to"last time Carl let one go, it didn't work out so well for an old fogie.
11/3/2013 12:39:56 PM
11/3/2013 2:47:13 PM
^^^thought they used the prison riot gear for one of the attacks by the governor
11/3/2013 3:10:36 PM
they also used it when clearing the prison
11/3/2013 4:10:04 PM
^ yeah, that was the first they used it and it's what I was referring to they used it for a while.I would be using it when going to places like the shop that went to a couple of episodes back as well.[Edited on November 3, 2013 at 9:16 PM. Reason : .]

11/4/2013 1:52:02 AM

Was I the only one that was confused when they got the medicine on the exit strategy they selected? They parked their car, they walked up, and entered the building from a route that was either clear or they have already cleared. They then go in and get all the supplies they need. Why not just turn around go out the same way you came in? You know that route is clear or at least thinned out and you know the obstacles. Instead they press on and find a bunch of walkers and blocked exits. Just didn't make much sense, esp. if they're in a hurry and trying to play it safe.
11/4/2013 8:30:00 AM
i thought walkers cut off the path they came in on.
11/4/2013 8:31:51 AM
That was my understanding; I thought they'd walk back to the entrance and found walkers coming in.I like that they've been giving at least a cursory nod to dwindling gas. I also thought having to make a decision between infected walkers and regular-ass walkers was cool. I didn't think it'd be Carol, and I was surprised that she got turned out so easily. Where is she driving off to? Wouldn't it make more sense to hole up in the neighborhood they know to be mostly clean?
11/4/2013 9:07:09 AM
She should have rammed Rick, killed him and told everyone else that the walkers got him.
11/4/2013 9:19:47 AM
What is the deal with "infected" walkers? Infected (and died from) with the same illness back at the prison? How would they even be able to tell that?
11/4/2013 9:36:02 AM
Carol should go to Woodbury. It's pretty well defensible and there shouldn't be anyone left after the mass exodus to the prison. She could do what Morgan did and fortify a building completely and live on the upper floors while the street and bottom floors are all booby-trapped.
11/4/2013 9:40:52 AM
Blood running from the eyes. Remember the doc describing how the pressure builds up and explodes the blood vessels causing that bleeding from the eyes
11/4/2013 9:42:04 AM
they were able to tell they died from the "sickness" by their eyes. they all had the hemorrhaged eyes that Rick had seen with some of the walkers at the fence plus the one kid that had died inside the cell block shower.
11/4/2013 9:42:59 AM
Rick is going to go back and tell everyone that he made Carol leave. This will cause a few reactions:... Daryl gets pissed off at Rick... Michonne gets jealous Daryl misses Carol so much... Rick explains why Carol had to go - killing the two infected people... Tyreese flips his shit and takes Michonne's horse to go Carol hunting... Daryl hops on his motorcycle to chace after Tyreese to protect Carol... Carl reminds Rick that Rick is a dipshit leader... Herschel reminds Carl to know his roll and respect his father... Herschel reminds Rick that Rick is a dipshit leader... Glenn and Maggie bang... Maggie gets the flu... Beth sings a song... Roll credits to Rick looking mad and confused
11/4/2013 9:49:13 AM
... governor fires a clip into the air.
11/4/2013 9:50:47 AM
What i didn't understand was how Beth knew Tom Waits' lyrics. But I thought this episode was up there with the best.[Edited on November 4, 2013 at 10:05 AM. Reason : ]

Seeing how slow, lethargic, and easy to kill the zombies are I don't see how there was ever a tipping point where the zombies overtook the world......
