I expect the usual where the models trend south to tease us but eventually trend back north and we end up on the warm side of the line. I am more concerned about ice right now as that's a much bigger problem.

The drive home today will be interesting as any snow figures to fall in the rush hour period and with the cold weather could cause travel issues. Two wrecks on 440 this morning with no snow so I can only imagine how it will look once you add a bit of snow haha.

Honestly it's fun to follow potential storms but I would almost always go with what RAH says.

In their discussion this AM they are bullish on a warm nose turning Triangle to rain for at least half the storm and don't mention a huge snow chance. Wording seems to think that there is potential for a lot of freezing rain though. Obviously major hedging as well on p-types as always for Raleigh-Durham.

Thursday night into friday. Every model run so far has looked a little worse for our area, but if history shows us anything by tomorrow we may be getting only rain. Worried about possible major ice storm somewhere in NC though.
