^ha, you missed the plot twist. it goes back to hurley in the ward and it shows libby as a fellow patient taking pills and staring at him from across the room. so what's the consensus here? assuming the island isn't a dream.. is libby an unstable mental patient obsessed with hurley? or a former patient who has since reformed? if the latter, has she simply forgotten that she knows hurley from the ward?[Edited on April 6, 2006 at 3:36 PM. Reason : twist]

Anybody who thinks everything on the island is even possibly just a dream should probably stop watching the show, or at least stop talking about it.

4/6/2006 3:38:41 PM
yall get over the whole dream idea, when i mentioned it, i was being sarcastic, i really didnt mean to cause this much controversy (which btw, yall seem to thrive on) and i dont think its a dream!that is all

Can somebody please post the preview for next week? I had to watch this on Itunes
4/6/2006 6:04:27 PM
Here's my theory: instead of fans watching the show and guessing what's going on (ie the button does nothing, the ballon that henry claimed he came in was part of a supplies dropoff, etc.) the writers make up a vague plot twist, wait and read the message boards, and then make their decision on what is going on based on what everyone is talking about. Sometimes they go for the theory. This episode seemed like they were purposely trying to dispell some stuff they read on the internet.
4/6/2006 7:48:09 PM
how do we know the dude with the fake beard isn't in charge?i must have missed that part
4/6/2006 9:51:52 PM
"henry" said "Him, hes nothing" in reference to beard guy
4/6/2006 9:55:16 PM
4/6/2006 10:06:35 PM
shitthe tape didn't get the whole episodeso i'm not gonna even bother watching any of it...
4/6/2006 10:32:16 PM
maybe the writers are still playing with the audience by showing Libby at the end to keep alive the whole "Hurley is in a catatonic state" storyline..if he saw her in the psyche ward then maybe he's transferring her to the island..the same island which was in the picture in the shrink's office behind Hurley on the couch..also, in the psyche ward, Libby has brown hair.. on the island she has blonde.. maybe it's another Hurley mind thing.. just an idear.
4/6/2006 10:35:25 PM
or maybe she dyed her hair
4/7/2006 12:27:09 AM
it's her identical twin!
4/7/2006 12:31:14 AM
yeahremember the 'twin theory'
4/7/2006 12:40:57 AM
1. Twins? Possibly.2. It's not like a psychologist has never been in a psych hospital before.3. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you think that it all being in Hurley's head is an actual possibility, then I'm surprised you're smart enough to operate your TV.
4/7/2006 1:03:25 AM
when the nurse gave her the medicine, she called her by her name, didn't she?that would rule out the twin theory, unless they are twins with the same name.
4/7/2006 12:40:13 PM
Maybe she killed her twin and took her identity, you know a lot of that's going around these days.Identity theft

food for thoughtremember when hugo won the lottery....he went to a beach/island looking for someone...i think all he found was the wife of the guy he was looking for lving in some hut....does this relate/ tie in to anything from the last episode?[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 6:09 PM. Reason : blah]
4/7/2006 6:08:38 PM
he went to australia to look for the wife of the guy who heard the numbersor something like that
4/7/2006 7:08:05 PM
Doctor: Hugo, that deck had 23 people on it and it was built to hold 8.
4/7/2006 7:38:09 PM
4/7/2006 7:47:08 PM
^^so what. the number dropping is idiotic and meaningless[Edited on April 7, 2006 at 7:53 PM. Reason : -]
4/7/2006 7:52:37 PM
ohh wow.. 8 and 23.. and Hurley on the boat.I get it.From Season 1, Anyone remember the mural on the wall in the hatch, with the people looking up at the sun and there was a number (108) on the wall.. also if i remember correctly weren't these people screaming and on a boat?weird.. I might just not be remembering correctly

omg there were 8 piles of poop on the ground 7 episodes ago. i get it now.
4/8/2006 12:08:31 AM
Henry Gale's story is disproven when Sayid reads the "letter" on the dollar bill from the real Henry Gale.I was just curious: at any point does the faux Henry Gale reference his "dead wife" as Jennifer? Because that seemed liked exclusive information via the dollar bill considering the others had failed to read it.
4/8/2006 12:35:30 AM
4/8/2006 1:05:41 AM
yeah...he wrote a note on the bill and put it back in his wallet..the note said he was in the jungle and was going to try to find help or something and he loved her incase something happened to him...the captured guy said that henry gale was already dead when he found him in the balloon...so he was lying

I'm starting to think it's purgatory.
4/10/2006 12:45:29 AM
This may spoil something, but I heard that another character will be killed off and that by the end of the season we will know why the people are on the island. Meaning that we will find out why Loc, Jack, Kate, and etc. were brought to the island.
4/10/2006 10:46:36 AM
If anyone was wondering where I heard it, it was Extra last night.
4/10/2006 10:47:53 AM
Anybody who thinks the island is purgatory is stupid.
4/10/2006 10:48:18 AM
A moron, even?
4/10/2006 10:56:14 AM
is it a new episode this week?[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 11:12 AM. Reason : it is, i remember the preview of jack running through the woods and then someone getting caught ]
4/10/2006 11:12:17 AM
I haven't checked a LOST thread in a while, the whole "dream" idea....ISN'T ANYTHING NEW....as a matter of fact it was discredited by the writer MONTHS ago.yeah..
4/10/2006 2:31:05 PM
THAT MEANS ITS PURGATORY[Edited on April 10, 2006 at 2:31 PM. Reason : 0]
4/10/2006 2:31:32 PM
they are supposed to tell why the plane crashed by the end of the seasonalso, check out this thread for a pretty good theory:http://www.4815162342.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7712
4/10/2006 3:00:45 PM
Wow. That actually sounds like it could be totally correct. If so I'll be pissed.
4/10/2006 3:21:25 PM
yeah, whoever put that theory together did a LOT of research (more than I would probably ever do for a grade), but there is a lot to it that sounds like it could be partially, if not totally, correct
4/10/2006 3:48:42 PM
a lot of it sounds like it could be right, or related atleast.however the pupil part is just retarded.that would mean the smoke was over his body and in a perfectly round shape .....not to mention if it were over his body it would have cast a shadow of some sort or a difference in light would have been noticed when it vanished.
4/10/2006 3:56:14 PM
true, I forgot about that part

4/10/2006 5:22:26 PM
i concur rwoody
4/10/2006 6:40:02 PM
that theory just seems to complex..i think it could be right...but simpler
