^normally I'd agree, but after the past 8 months............well who can really say how low the bar can go.[Edited on August 12, 2017 at 4:01 PM. Reason : Like i still expect Bannon, miller, or Gorka to show up and wave an iron cross flag]

The part afterwards was fucking astounding. Not unsurprising, of course, but downright astounding. You could hear a pin drop after those shouted questions. That must have been the most deafening silence in history.
8/12/2017 4:01:24 PM
There will be more of these. A lot more. When his base realizes that he won't fix their shit existence, they'll begin openly terrorizing minority communities as they look for something to blame, and they'll retreat to mythical white nationalist sentiment.
8/12/2017 4:04:20 PM
8/12/2017 4:44:00 PM
manhe literally fucking went with "well both sides do it"
8/12/2017 4:56:00 PM
Fucking coward president.
8/12/2017 5:05:28 PM
I'm a sure there will be people, even possibly on TWW, who say he said enough.. but to not explicitly call out white nationalism and neo-fascism/nazism here is egregious and will only embolden those people. The sad reality is he needs these people and people not quite as bold or flagrant to be on his side or he's toast electorally.[Edited on August 12, 2017 at 7:55 PM. Reason : X]
8/12/2017 7:54:07 PM
^especially when there were cries for Obama to denounce the BLM protests that turned violent and cries for obama to use specific language to denounce radical Islamic terrorists. Trump specifically calls out Mitch McConnell or John McCain or whoever else but does his best to sugar coat a statement about fucking nazis. It's not that he's just careful with his words...no...he isn't afraid to call out certain people and actions. But these particular ones, he's especially careful to mince words. Fuck this coward ass racist pandering piece of shit

Of course the do that's why they dress like him with khaki pants and white polo shirts with their stupid fucking maga hats
8/12/2017 11:24:48 PM
I forgot that I said this back on page 27:
8/13/2017 2:50:51 AM
Trump doesn’t need Neo Nazis, he just wants them. He’s a literal Neo Nazi sympathizer— pretty amazing thing to be able to say about an American President
8/13/2017 3:17:23 PM
^its what happens when the religious right forgets their principles and votes for “not her”
8/13/2017 3:28:56 PM
They supporteded him in the primary too. And they don't regret it at all. He answers all of their dogwhistles. About Christmas, about Islam, about minorities, about women.Evangelicals are the shittiest, most hypocritical people on earth. They don't give a fuck if a few blacks or lefties get killed as long as they can have someone acknowledge their shitty worldview.[Edited on August 13, 2017 at 5:00 PM. Reason : X]
8/13/2017 4:59:20 PM
What percentage of evangelicals do you assume have that worldview?
8/13/2017 5:30:48 PM
Quite a few based on this...http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/14/politics/southern-baptist-convention-alt-right/index.htmlEspecially when this bullshit passed easily

There is zero chance that Scavino doesn't know that he is retweeting PizzaGate conspiracists and Richard Spencer friends. Zero. Trump may not but nothing goes out without clearing Scavino. His words yesterday meant nothing. The White House quite obviously didn't mean it and retweeting Posobiec is a giant alt-right dog whistle.

Trump flipped out over Kathy Griffith's stunt, but can't help himself when it comes to portraying violence against people he doesn't like. http://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-retweets-cartoon-of-train-killing-cnn-reporter
8/15/2017 2:20:42 PM
while both are awful, that's a false equivalency joking about the death of a president is a no-go, no matter who the president is
8/15/2017 2:28:37 PM
ah, so dead Hitler jokes are off the table now. Rats.[Edited on August 15, 2017 at 2:31 PM. Reason : zombie Reagan jokes too ]
8/15/2017 2:31:14 PM
was Kathy Griffin holding the head of an already dead person?
8/15/2017 2:38:48 PM
I mean you're the one claiming a false equivalency when people are simply pointing out Trump's hypocrisy/lack of presidential restrain. I was just trying to point out that your own logic is a bit flawed mainly because your use of the words "no-go, no matter what" imply some type of "absolute" truth exists, when it's not that cut and dry.
8/15/2017 2:47:53 PM
not in the context of the incident that was cited
8/15/2017 2:55:07 PM
It's not a no-go, freedom of speech is freedom of speech. However, that thing with Kathy Griffin was in extremely poor taste, and really she should have known better. Don't sink to Trump's level, because the Right will just turn it right back around at you.
8/15/2017 3:01:14 PM
Maybe...MAYBE if that head had been Jim Acosta or something. But it isn't even a caricature of anyone. It's a body with a CNN logo. There's absolutely no comparison there. However, the dumbass needs to stop tweeting these dumbass tweets. I just don't get it.
8/15/2017 3:07:27 PM
He's the fucking POTUS and he uses Twitter like a 13 year old. The Griffin BS was over the top and not funny, but he doesn't get a pass for this just because just because Kathy Griffin took it way too far. Calling him a hypocrite is accurate and within reason. [Edited on August 15, 2017 at 3:22 PM. Reason : .]
8/15/2017 3:21:01 PM
who is giving him a pass?
8/15/2017 3:29:11 PM
Trump is definitely an alt-right nazi sympathizer and must go. 2020 is too late. Don't forget he has a nazi on his staff (Bannon). His initial statement on cville was a dog whistle.
8/15/2017 3:34:34 PM
Take John Kelly's shoelaces away tonight.
8/15/2017 4:28:55 PM
trump panders to white nationalists. there's really no way around that fact.
8/15/2017 4:38:24 PM
...and 'panders' is a generous interpretation of his actions.
8/15/2017 4:52:59 PM
wow i just got back online tonight after being in the wilderness for a week. it looks like the new thimg americans are doing is equating nazis with protest groups. blm, black panthers, occupy, womens march etc.its not just trump but a dog whistle for the half of my newsfeed asking where the left was when obama didnt denounce blm. i knew it was a racist country but some people needed this to admit that much. its still not why he won tho. t
8/15/2017 4:59:43 PM
So he did another news conference and reitereated his "both sides are to blame" claims. And said he didn't initially call out white nationalist and the kkk because he first wanted to gather facts. He apparently even pulled his initial statement from his coat pocket and read it again.[Edited on August 15, 2017 at 5:12 PM. Reason : ]
8/15/2017 5:08:34 PM
He read his statement but left out his OG "many sides" comment.[Edited on August 15, 2017 at 5:23 PM. Reason : .]
8/15/2017 5:22:38 PM
but during today's conference he said
8/15/2017 5:31:04 PM

both sickening and totally not shocking that given the choice to side with or against white nationalists, our president has chose to side with the white supremacists.
8/15/2017 5:54:10 PM
I'm at a loss for words.I'm done hoping that he's going to learn some lesson from the backlash that he leaves in his wake, but he thrives on it. It's like he eats chaos for breakfast to recharge for a day full of making more chaos.
8/15/2017 6:10:14 PM
^^ I should add that he's repeatedly had the opportunity to not side with white supremacists and he's repeatedly sided with fucking nazis. Like, not a one time thing. Multiple instances of him picking the nazi side. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...
8/15/2017 6:20:03 PM
I'm just gonna re-post what I said month's ago because it bears repeating. Stop trying to micro-analyze him like he's a typical politician. He's not.
8/15/2017 6:20:12 PM
We're done here. It is time for the ouster of the Nazi apologist Trump regime.
8/15/2017 6:26:57 PM
^^I mean when you wrote that, many of us agreed with all of it, but are you expecting people's view/opinions to suddenly change now that you were 'right' ? People on wacky ends of the political spectrum don't have epiphanies or change their minds when shit like this happens; they double down on their rhetoric because that's what makes them subscribe to extremely warped ideologies in the first place.Hillary Clinton said the same shit about Trump, but don't expect any Bernie Babies to suddenly have buyer's remorse on August 15th.^ and no, we 'aren't' done. This shit is just getting started. It's going to get much, much worse before it starts getting any better. [Edited on August 15, 2017 at 6:31 PM. Reason : .]
8/15/2017 6:30:25 PM
I know a lot of people agreed. I just think it's important that people (mostly moderates) realize that our institutions are not going to correct themselves. This will not be solved at the ballot box. And his dog-whistles need to be vehemently rejected rather than dissected for "reasonable" ground. He's deliberately and specifically targeting certain groups (BLM, Hispanics, Muslims, etc) and he'll very soon realize that he can add "leftists" to that group.Moderates need to pick a side. It's uncomfortable, and it's scary. But there is no compromise to be made
8/15/2017 6:41:41 PM
I see your point, but since you've posted that wall of text twice by my count so far, it comes across a bit more like rubbing it in people's noses than maybe you realize.Meanwhile, nobody seems to be talking much about NK and the essential de-escalation of its pre-emptive nuclear war threats against Guam. Lucky break for both NK/Trump regime. A nuclear holocaust would really be bad for casino business, so Trump is grateful for yet another fortuitous distraction. [Edited on August 15, 2017 at 6:52 PM. ^^ Not bragging at all. I'm legit concerned. I just think it's a call to action at this point. We all need to find a position we're passionate about and defend it
8/15/2017 8:28:25 PM
8/15/2017 8:44:22 PM
What more does it take at this point? Where's Paul Ryan? What kind of spin is hannity peddling? Shit is scary dude.
