gym yesterday and I just ran 6 miles. Before bed:100-75-50-50-25 push ups10-8-8-5-3 pull ups4 sets - 20 seconds ab twists with 10 pound weightFinally getting slightly better at the pull ups. I still feel myself wanting to use my body to propel myself up but I'm slowing getting better and using my body less and less. You know what are hard as FUCK. Hanging leg raises. I always end up doing them toward the end of my work out at the gym so I always suck at them. I need to try them first and see if I'm any better.

Health people, what do you think of this meal?Sauteed kale with tomatoes, garlic, parsley, and 1 slice of bacon (in lieu of olive oil and add some flavor)1/2 sesame pita8oz glass grapefruit juice[Edited on September 9, 2010 at 12:49 PM. Reason : tomatoes]
9/9/2010 12:37:32 PM
It's tiny, needs protein, olive oil would be a healthier fat, and juice isn't the best because you get the sugar from fruit without the fiber, and it doesn't fill you up like actual food does.
9/9/2010 12:40:30 PM
As far as "tiny" I think you seriously underestimate the amount of kale used It was 1/2 a grocery bag pre-cooked and a sizable bowl after cooking. I know olive oil would have been the better choice but it just tastes so undesirable without a lil bacon.

^^^ W2G boobear!
9/9/2010 1:04:58 PM
I agree with Taraneeds more proteinand ditch the juice
9/9/2010 1:34:51 PM

t'anks bb sidenote: i'm not considering myself a runner until i can consistently run less than 8 min miles
9/10/2010 12:06:43 PM
Well, if you're not a runner, you're a hawty.
9/10/2010 12:07:51 PM
9/10/2010 12:10:57 PM
8 min mile is a good pace, but you can definitely be a runner and go slower than that. My half-marathon splits were barely under an 8:30 pace
9/10/2010 12:41:11 PM

SAM....AMAZING!!!!
9/13/2010 9:38:02 PM
Nice calves, girl! I've been pushing too hard in the weight room lately and still need to learn how much is too much. I'm not a beast by any stretch of the imagination, I just go a little farther than I should or don't give myself enough rest between sets, or some combination of the two. But I've had to cut a few sessions short to avoid throwing up--this after failing to avoid it once. I'm making very noticeable progress on the appearance front, though, so that makes me happy.

I thought about going as the Russian from Rocky IV sometimes, but that's too much work On another note, I've somehow blown up to 200 pounds, lol. I'm not very fat or anything (can't/won't get a bf% check anytime soon), but within a week of getting back I was up to 190-195, and have slowly crept up to 200. Might be possible that after 2 months of eating negative and going to bed hungry sometimes that my body decided to hold onto everything it takes in. I've only rarely been up to 195, and my eating doesn't seem too different, so I'm wondering why. I don't go to the gym as often might be the only thing, like 2-3 times a week lately.
