I inject myself with Natural Light and the blood our lord and savior, Jesus Christ...not that fake "vaccine" junk with who knows what in it.

Just got Pfizer first dose 3 minutes ago.If I die, it's been nice knowing y'all.

Well damn, I'm still alive. No side effects at all, just pain at site but only on touching, and maybe drowsiness/tiredness in the evening on the day.I made a nice day trip out of it, as I went to a different island to get the vaccine, an island I haven't been to yet even though it is 20-25 min from my place. Walked the streets, admired the architecture and scenery, got some stuff from a traditional bakery, had lunch at a hipster-ish cafe, and walked along the seafront promenade. Not looking forward to the 2nd dose as that's the one everybody I know who has taken it has gotten a strong whole-day fever afterwards.
8/6/2021 1:56:06 AM
Well, I'm someone you don't know, but I had no such reaction with either dose of Pfizer.
8/6/2021 6:43:57 AM
And I had no problem with either Moderna dose.
8/6/2021 8:02:30 AM
How are you people just now getting jabbed?
8/6/2021 8:43:10 AM
^^, ^^^Cool, good to know!My company gives 1-day vaccination leave for the first jab, and 2-day for the second. My second one is on the 27th, so I have taken 27th and 28th off, and 29th and 30th are my weekly off days, so I will be chilling for 4 days! If I feel good, I will go to the beach (4 beaches within walking distance of my place but been too busy with work this summer and haven't gone yet).

2nd moderna dose made me very feverish the next day. Definitely a possibility[Edited on August 6, 2021 at 11:38 AM. Reason : .]
8/6/2021 11:37:34 AM
fatigue and just arm soreness were my biggest things. but otherwise nothing major at all
8/6/2021 11:55:56 AM
First dose nothing, 2nd dose thought I was hungover(cause i am an alcoholic), but after napping still felt bad. Took temp was 101 or so. Broke fever over night, sheets wet with sweat etc. felt fine that day. So literally 24 hours of lethargy, then was 100%
8/6/2021 12:26:56 PM
Pretty irresponsible of you people to wait so long.
8/6/2021 1:45:11 PM
I’ve been fully vaccinated since like april 14
8/6/2021 1:57:55 PM
I had 12 doses of Natty Light last night. Only side effects today are headache/wooziness along with a little blood in my urine.
8/6/2021 3:10:32 PM
Yeah I think only one person has posted that they actually got it recently. Everybody else was just rehashing their experiences and side effects from the shot. I got it back in March.Although I have seen several states reporting big increases in demand for the vaccine lately (in response to delta)[Edited on August 6, 2021 at 6:57 PM. Reason : H]
8/6/2021 6:54:26 PM
(I am somewhere where the per capita infection rate and per capita death rate both are 1/70 of the US's rates, so I could afford to delay it; would've done it months ago had I been somewhere with a high rate)
8/7/2021 1:05:33 AM
Is it 1/70th of our current rate or our 2 months ago rate
8/7/2021 1:11:42 PM
average ratio from the beginning of the pandemic until now, measured in cases/million and deaths/million.
8/7/2021 1:21:40 PM
Ah you said rate. That seems like a pretty silly way to measure risk especially since things can from 0-60 in no time
8/7/2021 1:25:48 PM
I was pretty lucky with mine. I was just tired after the second dose, and the first dose made my arm pretty sore, but other than that I was golden.I feel like on the average, at least based on my anecdotal evidence, those with kids/teachers/doctors seem to have had a better experience.
8/8/2021 10:28:03 AM
Those with doctors have had it great!
8/8/2021 1:41:32 PM
I've recently seen references to a study that suggests that those with the Moderna vaccine are better protected against infection from the Delta variant than those with the Pfizer vaccine.https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.08.11.21261885v1

8/12/2021 12:14:09 PM
Due to age. . .
8/12/2021 12:17:12 PM
^^That's a 95% confidence interval for the true statistical mean.

^x595% CI lower limit for Moderna is much lower than for Pfizer. Must be a smaller sample size. You better hope the true mean doesn't end up being 41.2%.]
8/12/2021 12:20:34 PM
Thanks for the info on confidence interval. I didn’t like statistics and I’ve forgotten (or never really learned) all that stuff
8/12/2021 12:35:10 PM
8/12/2021 1:56:34 PM
The only sense that I can make of that statistic is that the sample that only received one dose recently received their first dose and that the sample that had received two doses received their second dose much longer ago, but I'm not sure if that's the case or not.
8/12/2021 3:09:44 PM
Confusing so if I've had the first Pfizer dose don't get the second I have scheduled in a few days?!?!
8/12/2021 9:23:22 PM
Get it.
8/13/2021 7:53:36 AM
Y’all like to slice and dice me into categories but I’m just letting you know I have gotten the shot 3 times this week, so you can all apologize
8/16/2021 7:37:41 AM
8/16/2021 8:22:09 AM
I'm more concerned about the delay on scheduling 3rd doses beyond those with serious medical conditions. I have no issues with those with health concerns being prioritized, but I'd like to see information on scheduling.
8/16/2021 11:54:51 AM
I wonder if they'd have better luck if they rolled this into the flu booster shot (no idea if it's even feasible).
8/16/2021 3:21:48 PM
I have never gotten a flu shot.I got the covid-19 vaccination the 2nd day i was eligible.
8/16/2021 3:28:26 PM
I used to not get the flu shot for reasons similar to covid deniers, "I'm not worried about getting sick" but an immuno compromised family member explained to me why that reasoning was faulty, my flu shot helps protect vulnerable people. So I've tried to get it since then. Not trying to guilt you just giving a perspective I was missing in the past
8/16/2021 3:42:44 PM
Well my reasons are multiple1) no insurance and flu shots are not free2) i have crazy anxiety about needles3) i am lazy4) i have very little contact with the public, work outside and live alone. If the healthcare system in this country wasn't fucked all to shit, i would go get a free one in all likelihood. But I'm poor and not paying for one when my risk factors for getting it are probably lower than the vast majority of Americans. I think vaccines are good. But also the flu is not a global pandemic we are trying to stop. It's an endemic disease that will continue to be around whether i get vaccinated or not.]
