CeeDee motherfuckin Lamb. Or Isaiah Simmons. Or Javon Kinlaw. Just don't draft a fucking QB.
12/29/2019 10:33:59 PM
OLine is our biggest need outside of QB.
12/30/2019 9:21:20 AM
Nope, it's fixing the historically bad run defense. You aren't going to win games giving up 5.2 yards per carry and I believe tying the NFL record for rushing TDs allowed.
12/30/2019 9:40:52 AM
Eric BieniemyJosh McDanielsMatt RhuleMike McCarthy
12/30/2019 11:59:34 AM
Hard pass on McDaniels.Kind of surprised Roman hasn't had an interview scheduled yet.
12/30/2019 12:10:29 PM
lol @ Rivera going to Washington
12/30/2019 12:40:02 PM
^^Roman going to Cowboys, I still think/Yoda
12/31/2019 12:25:48 AM
Rivera is like Steve Clifford of Charlotte Hornets a few years ago. He got fired and picked up by another southeastern team.
1/1/2020 8:06:07 PM
great insight there.
1/2/2020 6:51:09 AM
the least shitty of all the shitty candidates seems to be Bienemy but they all suck imo
1/4/2020 12:13:11 AM
Matt Rhule next Panthers HC.
1/7/2020 9:58:56 AM
With Ron Rivera fired and Cam Newton injured, an era ends. Just like the Clifford/Big AL combo of Hornets.[Edited on January 7, 2020 at 10:24 AM. Reason : Or the Clifford/Walker combo]
1/7/2020 10:05:00 AM
I’m into it
1/7/2020 10:17:33 AM
Apparently their top 2 choices were Rhule and McDaniels, so at least they got the guy who didn't trade up to draft Tim Tebow in the first round.
1/7/2020 11:13:39 AM
Normally college coaches don't pan out but I like this guy, hopefully he is our Pete Carroll (I know he was NFL before USC) Bobby Petrino, 3-10Lane Kiffin, 5-15Spurrier, 12-20Mike Riley, 14-34Chip Kelly, 28-35Greg Schiano 11-21
1/7/2020 11:41:38 AM
i like it. gives me more optimism than hiring some retread and/or Pats assistant. that's not to say it'll definitely work - but i'm more excited about Rhule than the other options. i think it was chip patterson (CBS) that i heard on the radio talking about how Rhule has intrigued NFL teams since his time at Temple due to his player evaluation and development. no idea how it'll translate, but i'm on board.
1/7/2020 12:06:51 PM
Dabo of Clemson is a better fit but he just signed a ten-year contract, and he may remain as a school coach forever like coach K
1/7/2020 12:22:08 PM
Cautiously optimistic about this.
1/7/2020 1:01:50 PM
Then we need to wait until 2029.
1/7/2020 1:09:13 PM
He doesn't have nearly the NFL experience that Pete Carroll did, but he did spend a year on the Giants staff so his coaching resume isn't exclusively collegiate.
1/7/2020 3:15:17 PM
This was the guy that intrigued me most and has the most boom or bust potential. The good news is we have the richest owner in football, so if he sucks a buy-out is pocket change.
1/7/2020 5:11:18 PM
I don't think he has the most bust potential. I think that's the guy that has flamed out in spectacular fashion and got fired for cheating AND DRAFTED TIM TEBOW IN THE FIRST ROUND.
1/7/2020 9:53:33 PM
TIL that head coaches and not general managers draft players
1/7/2020 11:00:40 PM
McDaniels had personnel control in Denver.
1/7/2020 11:24:58 PM
I'm sure Pat Bowlen had no say in the matterI don't care for McDaniels, but the Tebow narrative is stupid, like the owner is going to let some 30 year old coach make all the personnel decisions]
1/7/2020 11:38:47 PM
mcdaniels was the worst of the options but this was probably the second worsti guess the good news is if he's a clown we'll get lawrence or justin fields out of it
1/8/2020 12:15:18 AM
this guy wouldnt know what an nfl qb looks like if one slapped him, hes been coaching in the fucking corpse of the big east and the big 12https://twitter.com/bigahickey/status/1120720181339336704
1/8/2020 12:19:24 AM
Lets state the obvious. Cam will not be here next season, Ruhle will. Only when you accept that premise can you move forward
1/8/2020 12:42:15 AM
^^twitter, where people overblow a coach complimenting a playeran NFL head coach doesn't need to be an expert at evaluating talent, even if he was being completely unbiased and not at all giving a politically correct answer. they don't even need to be able to call the plays, they need to be able to manage a group of people, which he has done in college. time will tell for him here.^there isn't anything obvious about how healthy Cam will be next year[Edited on January 8, 2020 at 1:00 AM. Reason : .]
1/8/2020 12:50:19 AM
tbh if he fails it lines up perfectly for him to be the nc state coach in 2 years
1/8/2020 1:12:30 AM
1/8/2020 1:44:02 AM
I'll take on L on this but I still think you underestimate the owner's influence on personnel decisions, even if they claim to give a HC all the power. Whoever is signing the checks is ultimately going to approve any moves.]
1/8/2020 2:22:59 AM
very excited about landing Joe Brady
1/14/2020 5:56:14 PM
Fuck yeah
1/14/2020 6:49:23 PM
I think we've definitely seen the last came with Cam now as a Panther, no way Brady wants him running the offense next year.
1/14/2020 6:52:53 PM
that is a silly assumption that isn’t based on anything at all
1/14/2020 7:00:10 PM
i mean it's based on something. that something being racism.
1/14/2020 7:20:27 PM
rumors of Kuechly possibly retiring this weekwhile it would be a bummer, I’d be perfectly ok with it
1/14/2020 8:00:20 PM
Cam, 7, next years 1st and CMC (or the return for CMC) gets it done for Burrow[Edited on January 14, 2020 at 8:08 PM. Reason : think they trade up a couple spots instead of tua tho]
1/14/2020 8:08:01 PM
Just a hunch, and only mildly influence by racisms. More influenced by a new regime not wanting to try to run a new offense with an inaccurate QB with injury problems but who still probably has trade value.
1/14/2020 8:15:11 PM
Cam's skillset is not really tailor made for the Saints offense. I'm sure a whizkid like Brady could make it work, and it's not like Cam would be bad at it, but I also think a brand new staff with what seems like a lot of rope trying to forge their way would rather start over with their own guy instead of betting on a running QB who is 30 and coming off 2 years of injuries
1/14/2020 8:22:14 PM
Joe Burrow was less accurate than Cam before Brady was hired by LSUalso, from the ESPN article about the hire:
1/14/2020 8:24:56 PM
^ Exactly what I'd say if Cam were about to be my QB and I didn't want to get a million questions about Cam until I could find a way to trade him.
1/14/2020 8:34:00 PM
Kuechly just retired
1/14/2020 8:34:58 PM
surprising but not shocking. too many concussions. enjoy the rest of your life man
1/14/2020 8:44:38 PM
He may make a terrific coach.
1/14/2020 8:47:12 PM
yeah if i were rhule id try to add him right awaythink he prob ends up with rivera though if he goes that route
1/14/2020 9:03:06 PM
1/14/2020 9:03:16 PM
Man. Ol' Luke is gone. He had definitely lost a step, but I didn't think he'd retire just yet. Most question marks to start a Panthers season in quite some time.
1/14/2020 9:03:37 PM
my guess is he'll take at least a year off before he considers a coaching position
1/14/2020 9:13:17 PM
