Saints will be 10-2, 10-4 after we beat them twice.. Need one more loss and to win out and we're good[Edited on November 29, 2018 at 11:01 PM. Reason : Let's go steelers week 16]
11/29/2018 10:59:47 PM
we aren’t beating them twice if they have anything to play forneed them to pull this out
11/29/2018 11:05:28 PM
looks like the road team in TNF is still just bad over the course of the seasontoo bad their next game is Tampa

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/panthers-owner-david-tepper-getting-antsy-mulling-new-hires-if-losing-continues/amp/I'm skeptical of the sourcing here, but I wouldn't doubt he's looking at our washed up radio host of a GM and figuring we can do better.
12/2/2018 10:23:51 AM
what’s there to be skeptical about? he’s as plugged-in and well sourced as any NFL reporterand based on that piece, t’s clear he’s thinking about shaking up the coaching situation, regardless of your hatred of our GM

I was pretty complementary of Hurney's offseason, despite my (totally justified) feelings about him. The fact is though, most of his offseason moves were busts. A 32 year old diabetic is out playing his signature free agent signing and the secondary is shambles. DJ Moore and Jackson are studs, but that's Hurney. He should have never been promoted past college scouting.
12/2/2018 1:37:37 PM
This Olsen contract extension sure is looking great right now!
12/2/2018 1:56:47 PM
I already said my piece on that, looking forward to him taking over Witten's job next year. It'll be nice to have a Panther's loyalist embedded into the NFL media circle.
12/2/2018 2:01:11 PM
that Denis Leary "it is the bar, pal" commercial always reminds me of Gott
12/2/2018 2:09:01 PM
Speaking of Jason Witten, remember when people thought Dennis Miller was bad at calling games? I'd give half a lung to have him replace Witten or Romo
12/2/2018 2:14:09 PM
I hope who ever is behind these before half Curt Menefee pieces introduces themself as the lamest person in tv productionit may be a tie between them and the person behind those godawful CGI things on MNF[Edited on December 2, 2018 at 2:16 PM. Reason : .]

I've always felt like Rivera was missing something as a HC, but now that it's probably over for him I'm a bit apprehensive. There's a real chance we're going to suck for a while if this transition goes poorly, and a new owner makes that more likely IMO.
12/2/2018 2:23:32 PM
The right hire can turn things around quick, look McVay and the Rams. If Tepper was already getting ancy before today, that first half probably has him on the phone with Kliff Kingsbury's agent as we speak.
12/2/2018 2:26:01 PM
mehI’d much rather retain Norv than hire Kingsbury[Edited on December 2, 2018 at 2:34 PM. Reason : .]
12/2/2018 2:34:13 PM
Offense is not our problem (despite a couple interceptions today)
12/2/2018 3:03:20 PM
Kingsbury is exactly the type of idiot flashy hire a new owner would make that would turn out to be an utter disaster
12/2/2018 3:03:36 PM
^, ^^ exactly
12/2/2018 3:04:57 PM
God this defense is trash
12/2/2018 3:13:19 PM
No pressure + no turnovers = no 2018 NFL defense
12/2/2018 3:28:07 PM
Cam has been throwing some floaters today, wonder if his shoulder is giving him problems[Edited on December 2, 2018 at 3:36 PM. Reason : and as soon as i say that, his last couple passes are pretty sharp]
12/2/2018 3:34:24 PM
no way his shoulder is 100%
12/2/2018 3:38:39 PM
Some protection would be helpful too
12/2/2018 3:40:03 PM
eh give our defense some credit at this point[Edited on December 2, 2018 at 3:43 PM. Reason : turnovers]
12/2/2018 3:42:40 PM
I’ve gotta put the last 2 picks mostly on the o-line, but damn 4 picks today with 7 the rest of the year? Against one of the worst defenses on the league?
12/2/2018 3:43:12 PM
The horseshoe fell out of the o line on the way to that Pittsburgh game. And they never got it back
12/2/2018 3:50:45 PM
Probably the biggest failure of this coaching staff is they've had Cam for 7 or 8 or however many years its been and theyve never fixed his lackadaisical play clock bullshit
12/2/2018 3:52:38 PM
^I think in the past, it's sometimes been him celebrating for too long and having to burn a timeout. But on that JPP sack, that was right out of a timeout, so that one was pretty bad.
12/2/2018 3:56:58 PM
Worst game Cam has played since Chicago last year. It happens to every QB, wouldn't have mattered if we won the games he played well.[Edited on December 2, 2018 at 3:59 PM. Reason : .]
12/2/2018 3:59:04 PM
nice david carr drive here
12/2/2018 4:00:06 PM
let's see how his shoulder really looks
12/2/2018 4:00:40 PM
Inexcusable clock management
12/2/2018 4:00:49 PM
How many bone-headed time-managent plays on that last drive? These guys get paid too much to make dumb decisions over and over and over.
12/2/2018 4:01:34 PM
put heinicke in, cams arm is shot
12/2/2018 4:03:11 PM
Yeah clearly his shoulder is not 100%
12/2/2018 4:03:47 PM
Which a half competent offensive line might have helped avoid too
12/2/2018 4:13:10 PM
That hail mary hurt me to watch. Look, Cam took a lot of hits in this game and he was cradling his shoulder after the run where he extended and slammed the ball into the ground. It's very possible he was just legitimately sore, his throwing motion is more like a baseball pitcher and puts a ton of stress on shoulder ligaments. Just like them, he might be fine with rest.
12/2/2018 4:26:32 PM
this is as mad as I’ve been after a game in some timesuch garbage
12/2/2018 5:09:37 PM
^Yeah.....I might have nuked my account on a certain Panthers forum with some ....... unkind posts lol.
12/2/2018 5:17:19 PM
Could have a top 3-4 draft pick still, probably
12/2/2018 10:15:24 PM
Imagine the narrative if Cam had gotten Rivera fired today like some other QB did to his coach
12/2/2018 10:49:19 PM
D-line and secondary coach fired, Rivera taking over play calling with washington coaching the front 7. Reeks of a last ditch effort before the ax falls. Watch them reel off 4 straight wins but still miss the wild card
12/3/2018 11:22:36 AM
If we reel off four straight, we'll make it. Our main competition now are the Redskins w/Colt McCoy and the Vikings who are fading almost as fast as we are. Even odds that 9 wins gets us in honestly. I want to get a definitive answer about Cam's shoulder though, this franchise cannot allow Ron to try and save his job by destroying Cam's career.
12/3/2018 11:49:49 AM
Cam's accuracy is below average with a healthy shoulder and 6'5" receivers (over throws)...bad shoulder and short receivers spells disaster. Probably seen the best Cam days already.
12/3/2018 1:23:35 PM
we were watching his best days in real time this season before this skidsilly to think that he’s already past his peak
12/3/2018 1:28:25 PM
^^i mean...Cam was having a pretty great season this year. yesterday was brutal. but in the context of his career, he's completing a higher % of passes this year while also on pace to throw more passes this season than most any other year. his yards/attempt and rating are all up this year too.[Edited on December 3, 2018 at 1:32 PM. Reason : arrows]
12/3/2018 1:31:36 PM
I can't believe anyone is still blaming Cam after seeing KB's total implosion on the Bills or offensive lineman he once made look good getting their new QBs killed. The whole "tall receivers" thing was mostly bad fan analysis (me included), he needed receivers who could get open and catch, just like every other NFL QB.
12/3/2018 1:38:42 PM
He needed a good OC is what he needed. Cam will always throw high when he isn't in rhythm and doesn't get his feet set. Norv has installed an offense that helps Newton get passes off in rythym and lets playmakers make plays. The worst thing for Cam's career would be if everyone gets fired and they bring in another OC.
12/3/2018 1:45:50 PM
Norv should be untouchable
12/3/2018 1:49:06 PM
It's funny because while Rivers and Cam couldn't be any more different as athletes, there are a lot of similarities between them as passers. They are both shoulder throwers, they push the ball down the field through sheer upper body strength. Remember Rivers used to lift with his offensive linemen here and had the second highest bench press on the team. He also went through some lean years after Norv left when everyone was saying he was done. He was being asked to chuck it deep behind a porous line, and what was once an elite QB became a turnover machine before our eyes. When he was placed back into an offense with a lot of quick rhythm passes, he's breaking completion records and looking like one of the best in the league again. tldr; if Cam's shoulder was truly just "sore", then there's no reason he can't continue to perform at a high level with the right players and play callers around him.
12/3/2018 2:18:31 PM
Rivers isn't throwing short passes this year, his yards per attempt is easily the highest of his career. And he led the league in YPA 3 years in a row under Norv. This year he's 4th, behind Fitzpatrick, Mahomes and Goff. They're the only ones in the NFL averaging 9 yards per attempt. Throwing deep has always been a strength of Rivers despite his odd throwing motion (he's also 4th in completion% this season.)Newton and Rivers really aren't that similar as quarterbacks. They're both phenomenal leaders, but that's really where the similarities end.]
