Weak ass penalties.....
12/10/2017 5:13:52 PM
Well this weekend sucked. Huge misses by Morata and Hazard.
12/11/2017 9:35:31 AM
at least the CL draw went well for everybody
12/11/2017 1:52:01 PM
speak for yourself, but outside Besiktas I would rather have seen them then PSG who knocked us out the last time.
12/11/2017 2:18:12 PM
Xabi blessed us.
12/11/2017 2:31:55 PM
^^ The last two. I was glad not to see PSG as well.[Edited on December 11, 2017 at 2:38 PM. Reason : ^]
12/11/2017 2:38:07 PM
was joking. Spurs and Chelsea got fucked
12/11/2017 7:50:21 PM
Crickets in here btw
12/11/2017 9:49:52 PM
that's what they said after the group draw too
12/12/2017 10:26:45 AM
I can see Spurs being able to beat a weaker Juve side but Juve usually catches their stride towards the second half of the season. I hope Conte gets royally fucked. I want United v City in the quarter finals so I really hope we don't screw it up against Sevilla. Hate Spanish teams in the CL but I think Mourinho should be able to figure this out. Refreshing to be in the CL knockouts after a long absence.
12/12/2017 10:52:48 AM
crickets in here.
12/13/2017 4:57:59 PM
Soft penalty this weekend. Soft hand ball call today. Fucks sake
12/13/2017 5:28:46 PM
^didn't get to watch, handball take away a score?
12/13/2017 8:20:46 PM
Nothing soft about that it was the correct decision. It clearly redirected off his hand into the net. Intentional or not, that should never count as a goal because you can't gain an advantage from that action.
12/14/2017 9:31:08 AM
So Man City has the record now for longest winning streak in the Premier League. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs beat them on Saturday only to lose 2-0 to Burnley the next week.
12/14/2017 10:58:39 AM
12/14/2017 11:01:01 AM
We're not winning at the Etihad. This City team looks like one for the ages.
12/14/2017 2:55:12 PM
This city team hasn’t won shit yet and people are comparing it to great PL winning teams. Season isn’t halfway over yet lmao. I love the general attitude of the football world. Hate PSG because of the oil money but let’s suck on City’s golden balls because Pep and attacking football achieved through 3 years of planning and a shit ton of oil money. City will likely win the title but the only way they are a team for the ages is if they beat the invicibles, win a treble or get more than 95 points. The rest is just pure talk.[Edited on December 16, 2017 at 9:48 AM. Reason : S]

So it's too early to give Kevin De Bruyne the Ballon d'Or?
12/16/2017 11:27:17 PM
12/17/2017 10:29:47 AM
Best front 3, Salah, Firmino, and Mane Lovren
12/17/2017 3:30:21 PM
12/18/2017 8:51:50 AM
I agreeCity haven't won anything yet, they need multiple trophies this season or to set the PL point record.
12/18/2017 11:09:09 AM
It just clickedWazza is soccer Earl
12/18/2017 3:14:09 PM
^ Because I disagree Man City is a team for the ages after 18 games in December? lmao.
12/18/2017 3:29:07 PM
One person: in my opinion this team is really goodSoccer Earl: ah, ah, ah that shall not pass good sir, I shall not allow the masses to agree on one combined opinion that i disagree with, observe my fact based treatise that proves the verdict is still out on whether, in fact, this team is really good
12/18/2017 4:21:05 PM
^ Meh... I've seen him borderline praise this City team a couple times and that as a United fan. Me. I'll never praise a Spurs/Chelsea team. Ever*. So fair play to him. (*I kid mostly of course - i appreciate the game too much)[Edited on December 18, 2017 at 10:48 PM. Reason : *]
12/18/2017 10:43:51 PM
yea bias isnt really the main problem, its taking something as simple as someone saying essentially "this team looks really good" as argument fodder[Edited on December 18, 2017 at 10:59 PM. Reason : but i'm prob just too sensitive........]
12/18/2017 10:58:30 PM
It’s a football thread. I am simply stating my opinion. It’s not necessarily an argument. I am not forcing you to believe it. I stated an opinion and told you why....
12/19/2017 8:11:05 AM
I expected the Guardiola hate from you wazza. And I'm not saying they're the best team in PL history.I just think your logic for not giving them credit is pretty ridiculous. He doesn't get credit because he hand-picked the right players for his system and to do well in the PL? Makes no sense. Plenty of teams spend tons of money and get nowhere with it. His big transfers are all contributing. Not sure who you'd even say is a bust?Look how many players he's improving: Sterling (best season ever), Stones (really starting to live up to his fee), Fernandinho (much improved under Pep), and Delph (you're telling me any coach converts him to LB with no problems? FOH). KDB was always good but I think he's tied with Hazard as the best player in the league and I definitely think Pep's system deserves some credit for it.Also I think he's transitioning the older players/leaders out of the squad seamlessly and the squad overall is definitely set up for the future nicely.

Read what I wrote again. Besides a record breaking city this united team are historically within the points range to challenge for a title. The biggest gap between first and second with United’s point total after 18 matches was 5 points in the last 8 years.
12/20/2017 7:47:07 PM
We're not discussing a hypothetical title won under normal circumstances. We're discussing the actual 2017-18 Premier League trophy, which United appears highly unlikely of winning.
12/20/2017 10:51:10 PM
Thats fine but I am happy with the progression. I have said it before, City's success isn't United's failure. City's season is an anomaly and if we lose the title to them this year because they score over 90 points then hats off to them. They are simply dominating it and its good for them. Any other season we would be title challengers and thats good enough for me. Still have 20 matches to go. Anything can happen in football.[Edited on December 21, 2017 at 9:40 AM. Reason : s]

Typical Liverpool v arsenal Match yesterday. The shit defense for both makes for quiet an entertaining match for neutrals. Chelsea, Liverpool and arsenal dropping points. United has no excuses not to win today and consolidate the 2nd spot. Would be nice going into christmas with city dropping points too. Not going to be happy if we can't get the job done today.
12/23/2017 9:42:40 AM
Just not disciplined enough. Still would've won it with a real goalkeeper though. Fuck another CB, LFC needs to break the bank for an elite goalkeeper. Any other team in the Top 6 would've replaced Mignolet 3 years ago.I haven't watched them that much this year but holy shit, Arsenal's midfield was absolutely dreadful. Iwobi and Xhaka are not good.[Edited on December 23, 2017 at 11:02 AM. Reason : ^^^ lol swear I didn't see that post before mine]
12/23/2017 10:54:10 AM
^ I agree but Cech also cost Arsenal the goal. I think 3-3 was a fair result on balance of play. I think if Liverpool had converted one of the two chances they had at the end of the first half and made it 2-0 going into the half it would have been easier for you lot to hold on to that lead. I must say having a quality GK makes a huge difference in how you approach defending too. Look at City and United and how both of their keepers complement the two defenses. The midfield yesterday for Arsenal was atrocious. I don't know what the typical midfield is but I imagine not having Ramsey and Coquelin didn't help them in this regard. The liverpool press was too much for them. Not sure why Kolasinac didn't start either.
12/23/2017 12:26:23 PM
UNLUCKKEEEEEEEEEE
12/23/2017 6:20:27 PM
Coquelin is horrible too. They’ve needed to buy a midfielder ever since Cazorla got injured. Xhaka might could work in a 3, but the way they’re setup now he just doesn’t have the mobility. Kolasinac didn’t start because he’s not quick enough to keep up with Salah. He’s more of a LWB anyway.
12/23/2017 7:27:03 PM
entertaining boxing day so far
12/26/2017 12:00:03 PM
Spend some fucking money Jose
12/26/2017 4:32:08 PM
VVD for £75mm for Liverpool? Great for them if true. And no fans of any Manchester team better say a fucking word about the cost.
12/27/2017 12:02:25 PM
What's Alderweireld worth then if VVD is 75? That's crazy money.
12/27/2017 12:10:46 PM
DIJKS OUT BOYS^ 2 years older and having injury problems, 2 less years on his contract... I'd say $40M.[Edited on December 27, 2017 at 1:20 PM. Reason : .]
12/27/2017 1:16:32 PM
You've lost the plot sir I have a feeling we may be talking about whether that golden donkey Andy Carroll or VVD is the biggest fleecing in Liverpool history soon. This guy is overrated and even more overpriced. Kane made him look like he'd never seen a football before two seasons ago and now he's the most expensive defender in history.
