Think we'd actually offer Del Negro before Moton, and that's not a good thing.

Going to be a long few weeks of speculation and tournament watching. Also I think the NIT would LOVE to have us in it if we garnered enough wins, DSJ is a superstar and that would get them views regardless, but I find it hard to imagine Yow accepting the invite given the coaching situation.

When it comes time for the tournament, we're all going to be actively rooting against Marshall, Miller, Wade, and Keatts. The further they go, the worse it will be for us. Apparently some rumors/speculation that Shaka making that Final Four run the year we were hiring is why we ended up with Gott instead of Shaka.

Still hoping for Marshall or Miller but I think we'll end up with Wade, which isn't a bad thing but more of a gamble. He could be great, though. We have to hope that Clemson (his alma mater) doesn't open up or he makes the kind of run that gets a lot higher attention.

If the next coach is a disaster and a good one becomes available, would a new AD be a good enough excuse to fire them after 2-3 years or would firing after 2-3 seasons for any reason other than a scandal make us look bad?

no news regarding the search will be "big" unless it's the hiring of a coach...and there's almost definitely not gonna be a coach hired until the season is over. considering several of the guys we will likely look at are gonna be coaching in the postseason, their season will also need to be over.

in other words, it doesn't take any "insider" to know that we're at the very least 2+ weeks away from the earliest we would be making any kind of hire.

Hasn't occurred yet, so maybe they are holding it for next week.
