I went back and looked at our last 5 regular season meetings with SEC teams.
Year Opponent Result Score2012 Tennessee L 21-352009 South Car. L 3-72008 South Car. L 0-341999 South Car. W 10-01996 Alabama L 19-24

ehh, those pretty much have no bearing on this yeari dreamed last night that our offense marched down the field and took a 7-0 lead vs SCar, then we forced a fumble and quickly went up 14-0. i then woke up, but we were looking really good on both sides of the ball before my alarm went off. just sayin guys[Edited on July 25, 2017 at 4:03 PM. 7/25/2017 4:01:17 PM
^That sounds like an L honestly
7/25/2017 4:05:00 PM
To be fair in 2008 RW got a concussion in the first quarter. Daniel Evans barely beating MAC, not to mention SEC...And 2012 was a classic Amerson "I'm not feeling it today" game[Edited on July 25, 2017 at 4:17 PM. Reason : Amerson]
7/25/2017 4:13:55 PM
God that 3-7 L
7/25/2017 8:02:27 PM
and obviously not included in that list are bowl losses to Miss St (Belk) and Vandy (Music City) and the last year's bowl win vs Vandy. not that those 2 losses and 1 win make the list look better...but those games have about as much bearing on the SCar game this year as any other game on the list.

Just rewatched the Clemson game. Holy shit we looked better than Bama and dominated most of the game. Clemson had 2 bad mistakes at bad times but so did we. I didn't remember missing 2 other fgs that game. ED called a great game but definitely choked everytime we got in the redzone. He better work on that. We caused that much hell against a heismann calibur QB, I can't imagine how much havoc we will wreak against them at home, vs a new qb, with no mike williams, no jordan legget, and an improved dline. Finley and JSam are good enough that we should just go for everything that is 4th and 5 or less. It takes 2 fgs to make a td so even if we only convert 1 in 3, we will still get the same points as having an average kicker who would go 2/3. We went 1/4 that game. We only scored 10 points in 5 red zone trips and still only lost after a 4th down conversion in ot.Clemson had a bad snap that happened to hit the ground and bounce straight to watson. That was some lucky shit.

Guys for fun I watched one of our most crushing losses ever! I'm a sane and normal person who paid to be on this website![Edited on July 26, 2017 at 11:15 PM. Reason : I mean, I would probably pay a little for this site if necessary BUT STILL ]

LOL Jaybee1200 how did UT do against Vandy in the regular season finale? That same team went to a bowl and got their ass kicked by lowly NCSU football. If we beat SCar Jaybee won't post at all during football season

^ A big reason for that is that we had zero confidence in our FG unit.
7/27/2017 11:41:47 AM
^Yup, A lot easier to go for it on 4th when your chance of hitting a field goal is 50/50 at best
7/27/2017 11:59:15 AM
well, yeah. just pointing out that EMan was saying we should go for it on 4th down more often, when that's already kinda what we do.
7/27/2017 12:14:08 PM
Y'all are getting Earl'd[Edited on July 27, 2017 at 1:31 PM. Reason : But hey what else is there to talk about]
7/27/2017 1:31:28 PM
Remember how hype football thread was in the build-up to the VT opening game? Those were the days.
7/28/2017 9:10:41 AM
jay fucking davis.....
7/28/2017 2:02:13 PM
Jay Davis was still way better than Marcus Stone.
7/28/2017 4:33:22 PM
not sure why we're on this subject but they're all better than Harrison beck
7/28/2017 6:14:56 PM
I don't know either. Jay Davis singlehandedly beat Virginia Tech (with a slight assist from the defensive line)
7/28/2017 6:21:02 PM
Jay Davis threw for like 350 yards in that game. We didn't lose because of Jay Davis. I remember arguing about that after the game because it was my first TWW thread.
7/28/2017 6:32:17 PM
You and I are referring to two very different games.
7/28/2017 9:52:20 PM
lol
7/29/2017 6:29:40 AM
I was responding to Zel and Ribs[Edited on July 29, 2017 at 4:45 PM. Reason : thread was called "days till virginia tech game"]
7/29/2017 4:44:40 PM
I remember people blaming the crowd for being too loud at the 05 opener while we were on offense so we couldn't communicate at the line or something.
7/29/2017 6:00:00 PM
Jay Davis tried to quiet the crowd downand someonein that thread asked "Why was he flapping his arms like a bird at one point?"
7/30/2017 10:03:42 AM
Jay Davis was no where near the worst QB we've had in the last 20 years. Hell I'd put Daniel Evans behind him. That doesn't even consider the bottom tier with Marcus Stone, Pete Thomas, and Brandon Mitchell. Though to be fair Marcus Stone was actually a solid TE. Also worth noting 2 of our last 3 QB commits ended up changing positions as well.
7/31/2017 9:17:02 AM
pete thomas
7/31/2017 9:50:11 AM
Davis was not that good. But he had the nearly impossible job of following Rivers. But yes, we've had several worse than Davis.[Edited on July 31, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Reason : pete thomas and harrison beck might be the worst imo although there are plenty choices]
7/31/2017 1:00:14 PM
It's scary how similar statistically Jay Davis and Daniel Evans were.
7/31/2017 4:25:36 PM
7/31/2017 4:38:32 PM
Don't forget about highly rated Burke, he couldn't even beat out Beck.
7/31/2017 9:08:44 PM
He was a 3 star recruit (like pretty much every qb we had up until glennon, other than Evans who vastly outperformed his rating/glorified walkon status.) Harrison Beck was a 4 star coming out of high school and much, much more highly regarded.[Edited on July 31, 2017 at 10:45 PM. Reason : Beck just gave no fucks.]
7/31/2017 10:39:06 PM
Stone was a 4

What was your favorite FSU game? Mine was probably 2012https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8GKM_aKsA01. 2012 Glennon's comeback2. 98 Torrey Holt https://youtu.be/aiJzHpEGZuU?t=32m30s3. 2006 Dunlap's corner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzpCU9FMEK04. 2010 Ponder fumble https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PcsUqKaftU&t=462s5. 2005 Andre Brown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QEp43wzT6k* Favorite Loss2003 Double OT thriller https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_FUTHlkQnIAll this reminds me that FSU has been cursed with god awful QBs. They've had great players all around even kickers but always have a boneheaded QB (except Jameis who suddenly won it all)

not sure how anyone could objectively say that any FSU win was better than the 1998 win. They were #2 in the nation, had only lost one ACC game as a program up until that point, and we had barely beaten the damn Ohio BOBcats the week before. First play of the game, 70 yard TD to Peter "worst Bengal ever" Warrick. And then we shut that shit down the rest of the way and Torry did what he do.
8/1/2017 11:47:27 AM
The question wasn't what objectively is the best FSU win. The question was what was your favorite FSU win.

Man I would like to buy into the hype but we have all been down this road way too many times to know better by now. Lets see how the SC game goes before I give us any shot at more than a 7-5 season.
