I don't think I could ever move back East. At this point, I've lived in CA longer than anywhere in my life (12+ years). I could see myself living in Europe though.

So... what does that say about those Federal programs?

I think it's important for the government (and if that means myself through taxes - a so-called "liberal elite" - so be it) to help those less fortunate than me such as the poor and poverty-stricken in Alabama and Mississippi. Or in the Central Valley when I lived in CA.

He was able to use his status as a homo with a fetish for the BBC (identity politics) to get farther than most conservative figures, since the typical SJW reaction to dissent is to scream "RACIST HOMOPHOBE" or something of the sort."

He's also a lot of the reason you see younger folks into some of the right wing movement. Milo converted a demo that's classically been reserved for retired people yelling at their TV and has brought younger blood into the fold. Now you have pockets of Twitter and Reddit firmly in the Donald camp.

It would be hard to move back to NC after living in California. If you've got money the quality of life is 10 times what it is in NC at any (< $600k a year) income level. I say that having serious misgivings of the political climate here.

lol @ using a snap shot of the electoral map to claim republicans need more aid than democrats. Because we all know what happens if you look at the individual level.

Incase any of the non-hacks actually want to know how the states spending works:

http://ijr.com/2015/01/230371-2-map-shows-red-states-rely-federal-aid-looks-can-deceiving/

Naturally, liberal states like California have out of control inflation, taxes, debt, homelessness etc.

I'll let you know when I start caring about one random guy's unsubstantiated opinions on sources.

Just to be curious though, what did Dave Van Zandt say about your favorite http://www.addictinginfo.org? lol

So Californians are asking for assistance with that dam(n) failure. Should we give it to them? Or let them see how well they do on their own.

Fuck them. They ignored an issue they had been aware of for years because they didnt want to spend any money. Bailing them out now sends the money to the rest of the states to not do simple maintenance either.

Is UJustWait84 a Russian agent? When will he denounce Putin? More evidence of his ties to Russia? UJustWait84 Russia Connections? Possible evidence that UJustWait84 and Russia may have colluded?

CNP and Calexit were never affiliated with each other. In fact, Louis Marinell got kicked of of the CNP pretty quickly, which is why he formed YesCalifornia.

I did find about the CNP through YesCalifornia, but it didn't take very long to figure out which one was just a scam to steal people's money, and which was actually a party. From what I gather, YesCalifornia doesn't have any receipts for contributions, which is why he's staying his ass in Russia.

With that said, unless shovels hit the ground for the wall, or WWIII starts, I don't foresee a ton more traction on the issue, unfortunately.

What I can afford to give personally won't amount to much if I'm the only one giving. Government programs, which take mere pennies of everyone's pockets, can turn into thousands of people finding help. I'm all for that.

This subset of California seceding from CA is just as ridiculous as CA seceding from the USA.

There is however, precedent for what they want to do - W. VA seceded from VA during the Civil War.

Someone on the street asked me to sign a petition to put a vote on the ballot this November to split California into 4 states. I can understand 2, but definitely not 4.

I think Puerto Rico needs statehood before we worry about Northern and Southern states of California.
