I also see a lot of whining and crying about trying to overturn the election results or name calling of Trump supporters. Those people aren't the people I tend to listen to anyway, because they're the type of people who mostly just post cat memes and selfies all day.The few Trump supporters I have in my feed are just bashing the left and calling them crybabies and gloating. None of them have said a peep about his transition to the white house or potential cabinet choices.

I was just saying to my gf today that my time would be better spent picking a couple issues and focusing on that instead of the general shithole political climate. So maybe I'll do that.[Edited on November 15, 2016 at 6:40 PM. Reason : .]

It's pretty empowering to surround yourself with a group of local, like minded people who believe in the same values you do, and to try to work together to enact changes that you can easily see in your community. So yeah, I'd give it a shot.

allegedlyjeez man, give the guy a chance!
11/15/2016 7:01:49 PM
^^^That kind of attitude is why we have so many people living in their bubble. If I said that about hanging around like minded people, you would sit there and tell me that I need some diversity in my life. Normally, having discussions with people who have different viewpoints can get things accomplished. But now, we're all so polarized, it just leads to arguments.
11/15/2016 7:25:50 PM
Right. People in their communities don't need to work together at all, nor share similar values and goals to get shit done. Things will just build themselves, legislation will just somehow happen, and life will get better if we just consider the view point of others and think about them deeply. It's better to just sit and listen to people's opinions and agree to disagree instead of working towards compromises because working together is obviously why we are so divided. Solving problems on the local level only leads to more problems, because people far away may not like what the results are. [Edited on November 15, 2016 at 7:42 PM. Reason : .]

Can't have sour grapes because non union workers get screwed.----------------https://twitter.com/hodgesmr/status/798648367970545664Looks like Trumps media arm Breitbart is already starting with the propaganda.
11/15/2016 11:53:45 PM
^ you are probably right. Just chuckling at our resident DNC-cock-stroker at outright dismissing that any factory worker anywhere in the US is making 90k, when it's demonstrably false. I mean, for fuck's sake, the LA dock workers are averaging 147k in pay alone...

^ I don't think it's incongruent with privatized healthcare (whatever that means, I'll take it to mean "non-state-run healthcare"). I think it is incongruent with our current, seriously fucked up system, where we treat health insurance like a group-savings plan. And that notion, the group-savings plan (read: pooling costs), is why I say that most people don't understand insurance.
11/16/2016 1:30:18 AM
By privatized healthcare, i meant private health insurance. How exactly is requiring coverage for people who are definite money pits not incongruent with privatized insurance? No private insurance company would voluntarily take on clients that will be a loss of revenue, if they can avoid it.

Donald Trump Requests Security Clearance for Son-in-Law Jared Kushnerhttp://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-kushner-profile-idUSKBN13A2QZSo in South Korea, their president is being pushed out because she was caught giving state secrets to a family friend (who happens to be a cultist), and letting this family friend vet her speeches. But Trump openly is giving favors to his kids and son-in-law and the right can't raise an eyebrow. Worse yet, the media really didn't go after Kushner because it's not customary to investigate a candidate's family, but it looks like this guy is going to be making decisions for America.

^ tag-teamed which one?

It'll be interesting to see how long a Melania sex scandal takes to happen. You know at 70 trump isn't able to satisfy her.
11/16/2016 11:50:45 AM
We are going there?
11/16/2016 11:52:45 AM
It's tww not tea time with the queen. I don't know who the democratic equivalent of James o Keefe is but if someone were trying to smear trump, there's a clear opening there.
11/16/2016 11:56:58 AM
Wow
11/16/2016 11:58:01 AM
It wouldn't matter if a video surfaced of the Dallas Cowboys running train on Melania. The same 26% of Americans would still vote Trump in 2020, assuming he runs again or hasn't quit.

So is Ivanka going to be first lady or not? One one hand it would be better for our country because she's semi-intelligent and would help bit with TV ratings. On the other, can you imagine how zany and dramatic Melania would be with her foreign accent and racy past? Ratings would be off the charts! I can't wait to tune in and see what happens next!
11/16/2016 12:08:37 PM
no, stop being dumb, melania trump will be the first ladywhy is this a thing?
11/16/2016 12:11:11 PM
I don't actually think it is a thing, but IIRC there was an unmarried president and his niece served as first lady. I'm just pointing out how absurd the situation is going to be. His fucking children will be helping to run his administration while somehow avoiding conflicts of interest with his billion dollar enterprises. Let the cameras roll.
11/16/2016 12:24:56 PM
Trump tweeted (yes, this is sadly going to be a thing) that they have not asked for clearance for the children.Even so, I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the complete lack of transparency with their businesses given it is clear they have influence with him. It still blows my mind the same people obsessed with Chelsea and the non-profit seem to not care one bit about this.
11/16/2016 12:27:35 PM
it is weird that family members help with administrations, but trump didn't start that, he is not the first personand trump is married to melania, she will be the first lady, the slut shaming should stop, it doesn't help anyone
11/16/2016 12:28:20 PM
^ in general, I'd agree. But I found this meme to be particularly funny:Michelle: Hi, I'm MichelleMelania: Hi, I'm MichelleAnd also, I think it's entirely likely that Trump is a weird sexual predator. He runs a beauty pageant, brags about going backstage when the girls are naked, openly boasts about groping women, and in all likelihood, has some weird attraction to his own daughter. Yeah, his wife and daughter should be off limits as long as they aren't influencing policy, but Trump himself is completely fair game.

11/16/2016 1:46:03 PM
quick recap:- Trump's immigrant gestapo is starting to come together with some local PDs saying they're ready to work with Trump on his plans, but others saying they refuse to work with him- Trump is fairly aloof to abortion- Trump is not draining the swamp or getting rid of lobbyists or insiders or elites- Trump is not going to repeal the disastrous ACA, based on his most recent comments- Trump has indicated he wants to pull out of Syria, essentially ceding control to Assad/Russia- As people are committing violence/intimidation in his name, Trump's limp-wristed response was literally "stop it."- As people are protesting Trump's presidency, his televised statement was "don't be afraid".
11/16/2016 2:21:38 PM
-Trump is bombastic, erratic, and unpredictable-Hold on to your butts

It's kinda funny, except it's apparent there are a lot of you loons out there. (and yes, i know, plenty of loons on the left too, plenty of them. doesn't make you any less loony)
11/16/2016 4:54:01 PM
I already made this argument:
11/16/2016 4:58:08 PM
lol. delusional.
11/16/2016 5:00:15 PM
That's not an argument. It's always impressive to see how much control the media has on people's perception of reality. Clinton voters/Soros employees riot in the streets, but hey, someone on Twitter said a Trump supporter did something bad. Ofcourse, convincing SJWs they are victims never has been hard to do.[Edited on November 16, 2016 at 5:27 PM. Reason : .]

There are paid activists. Look in your local nonprofit jobs section on Craigslist. Are most of them paid? No, very doubtful. Are the protests "manufactured"? Possibly. You can say all of these things and still dislike Trump. We should all be against establishment billionaires manipulating the public. They did it with the Tea Party, of course they're doing it now as well.

Oh that post wasn't intended to be negative at all. I just think that all these people making predictions one way or another, is just kind of a waste of time until we actually see what the man is going to do. I think he's running a bunch of smokescreens right now with all these cabinet rumors. I think he's just sitting back watching the media shit their pants every time a new cabinet rumor comes out.I did hear today, from my dad who listens to Rush, so that could be his source, that Christie was out because he wanted lobbyists on his staff.
11/16/2016 9:59:45 PM
Throwing Jared's dad in jail is the obvious answer.
