Assuming they've perfected this process and we'll see Android Ford soon. Or the Ford that was killed was a clone/android and still alive.
5/15/2018 7:55:37 AM
5/16/2018 3:35:31 PM
or it's the real him and he wasn't afraid to die because his consciousness is now in a host and he can live forever
5/16/2018 4:00:35 PM
^Philosophical questions associated with that though (although that is what this show deals with in general). All depends on whether or not Ford's consciousness was cut/pasted or copy/pasted into an android.
5/17/2018 8:48:04 AM
I don't know that we'll see Ford again, but has anyone ever explained how he keeps communicating with MIB through kid hosts?

^^Cutting and pasting isn't outside the realm of plausibility for this show. Ultimately it comes down to how consciousness is defined. Yes, Ford's consciousness could be uploaded to an android body, and it would theoretically be an exact copy in every single way and yes, nobody would be able to tell the difference. EXCEPT the original Ford would actually die and the consciousness in the android would be a clone. So from an outsider's perspective, yes, Ford would be living forever. But to the original Ford, he'd die. Some real Ship of Theseus stuff going on there.Kind of like how in Star Trek every time they use the transporter, they are actually disassembling their atoms and effectively dying and creating an exact replica (down to the atom) at the next location they are going to.
5/17/2018 2:44:11 PM
how would they cut from the original person? you can cut and past from host to host, but you can only copy and paste from human to host
5/17/2018 3:25:06 PM
^How do you know Ford didn't discover a way? It is science fiction and there haven't really been any "laws" defined in this universe that would be prevent it.
5/17/2018 3:46:34 PM
so far the show has been showing things pretty obviously, even including them in the previous episode recaps
5/17/2018 3:55:41 PM
That "C.R.E.A.M." cover, though.
5/21/2018 10:16:05 AM
Worst episode of the series, IMO.Next week looks promising though.
5/21/2018 8:37:27 PM
Dolores is so annoying. It is just too profound all the time for me.
5/21/2018 8:39:13 PM
Great episode … this is becoming one of the best sci fi shows ever I think
5/28/2018 12:21:21 AM
^^^

Wonder why the robots keep pairing up in traditional male/female pairings since, you know, they're robots? Why doesn't Dulurress just pair up with Angela or one of those masked fellas instead of dumb ol' Teddy who never did anything but pick up a can of lentils for her.
5/30/2018 1:55:44 PM
I felt like the whole Shogun World sidestory was heavy handed and pointless. They introduced characters one episode prior then had an over-dramatic farewell. It's like we were supposed to be compelled to miss these characters that weren't really ever developed.I don't know, I'm just bored with Maeve's storyline.
5/30/2018 3:20:19 PM
^ her shit has bored me since the beginning. *shrug* Just seems unnecessary just for the sake of having a secondary storyline
6/1/2018 4:29:12 PM
^ i think it's primarily to show how Maieve developed her powers to reprogram other agents wirelessly
6/2/2018 1:14:16 AM
The shotgun world characters were developed in a way, since they were just cloned storylines of the Westworld characters there with them. it helped to emphasize just how contrived Mauve's search for her child is. The last two episodes have shown Mauve gaining powers while also not seeing how illogical her quest for a fake daughter is, despite encountering her Geisha doppelganger living out an eerily similar storyline.
6/3/2018 8:00:13 AM
Ford!
6/3/2018 9:19:05 PM
Shout out to the guy trying to fuck a murderbot during his mission to kill murderbots during the murderbot uprising.
6/3/2018 11:42:09 PM
Starting to remind me of The Wire, no character is safe.
6/4/2018 11:06:51 AM
the room full of Bernards has me thinking that the multiple timelines with Bernard this season may not all involve the same Bernard. Maybe that's why he has memories of doing things but cant remember when they occurred?
6/4/2018 11:21:49 AM
^^ We don't see either William or Maeve ACTUALLY die, and in this show that's a fairly solid indicator that they don't
6/4/2018 11:35:20 AM
Yea, but we still saw Angela, Clementine, and Abernathy get got! All thanks to Doluris.
6/4/2018 12:16:46 PM
I guess I don't really see those as major characters. They absolutely meet most definitions of expendable. I would never have classified any of them as "safe"
6/4/2018 12:52:09 PM
And Lawrence too! How could I forget ol' Lawrence. RIP buddy.
6/4/2018 2:03:55 PM
Maeve's storyline looking for her "child" was dumb. I hoping that's the end of her, or at least the end of that storyline.
6/4/2018 4:38:42 PM
I don't love her story but the character and actor are way more interesting than Delores, so I hope she becomes more integral to the main plot
6/4/2018 4:50:01 PM
I take it back, Clementine ain't dead, no head shot. Maeve gonna find out she's the real daughter she's been looking for this whole time. Also starting to buy into the MIB as host theory after this episode. Gut shot should have done him in even with that magic healing wand thing he used before.
6/6/2018 4:36:32 PM
Why ever assume any character is actually "dead" or out of the show? Hosts can be repaired, or have a duplicate and any human can come back as a host.
6/7/2018 8:52:04 AM
^Well, Angela (the girl who blew up herself and the cradle which contains her backup and the backups of the other hosts) can't be repaired.
6/7/2018 1:06:37 PM
If that is the only place any backups were stored.
6/7/2018 4:23:49 PM
The man in black is probably a robot, since he's been shot about 6 times so far.
6/8/2018 7:45:58 AM
Great episode last night.
6/11/2018 8:50:14 AM
^so is ford also william, just a later version of him? like at some point are we going to find out there's a time travel element to this show as opposed to just discontinuous story telling?[Edited on June 11, 2018 at 9:49 AM. Reason : a]
6/11/2018 9:48:08 AM
No, they are not the same person.Any guesses as to who Sela Ward is? Just an older version of MIB's wife before her suicide?[Edited on June 11, 2018 at 10:45 AM. Reason : ...]
6/11/2018 10:39:57 AM
Pretty much confirmed that is who Sela Ward is playingAnybody notice that the episodes without Dolores seem to be better quality episodes
6/12/2018 2:57:43 PM
who the hell is Sela Ward?
6/14/2018 9:48:37 AM
Who is Sela Ward?! Learn some culture mate, try pulling up a few episodes of Sisters on Hulu+ and get back to me on who Sela Ward is.
6/14/2018 1:27:49 PM
Haven't heard of that show either.Ah, the murdered wife in The Fugitive. You should have just said that.
6/14/2018 1:37:57 PM
Right, as if you haven't heard about the greatest tv drama about sisters from the early '90's on network tv.
6/14/2018 2:08:58 PM
6/14/2018 6:15:34 PM
^^you left out a “sister” when describing the best show about sisters from the 90’s, “sister sister”
6/15/2018 7:28:20 AM
^^^sure haven't. highly doubt I'm the only one.
6/15/2018 8:38:32 AM
meh
6/18/2018 10:40:10 AM
I think the moral of the story is ultimately never go on vacation to a theme park filled with robots because your wife will kill herself.
