Haha Clemson got in barely over .500 and UNC is out. Nice
5/25/2015 12:29:29 PM
BREAKING NEWS: UNC to take their baseball post season ban in the 2015 season. I like the draw for State though. Looking forward to Friday.
5/25/2015 12:29:34 PM
It is definitely easy to notice when the paper classes stopped at UNC.
5/25/2015 1:10:33 PM
Game 1 vs. Stony Brook at 2:30 p.m. Friday (on ESPN3)if we lose, play Sacred Heart (presumably) at 2:30 p.m. Saturdayif we win, play TCU (presumably) at 7 p.m. Saturdaywas hoping we could avoid a regional hosted by one of the national seeds... TCU is gonna be tough. will need Brown to be on again Saturday (lose Friday and it's pretty irrelevant)
5/25/2015 2:31:26 PM
I forget how the Super Regional works. Will we play the winner of Texas A&M's group, with the highest seeded winning seed between the two groups host? Or is everything reshuffled for the top 8 teams hosting after round 1 and pairings made up later.
5/25/2015 4:08:42 PM
There's a little more to it, but basically the former. That's how we ended up hosting Rice (after they eliminated Oregon) the year we went to the CWS.
5/25/2015 4:10:37 PM
Can anyone report on the crowd at DBAP Sunday? the earlier weekend games seemed pretty light on attendance. Just curious. Tough regional but I like the draw. It's going to be a fun weekend. I could go for another trip to Omaha
5/26/2015 8:46:17 AM
^I thought I read that the Sunday attendance set a record. Could be wrong though
5/26/2015 9:22:38 AM
Cool... I wasn't able to watch the game, just following along on twitter while sitting on the beach.
5/26/2015 9:32:33 AM
Crowd report: there was a guy in a Duke hat and ECU football jersey sitting behind home plate Sunday.
5/26/2015 10:21:54 AM
^I can confirm.
5/26/2015 10:23:47 AM
I was there. They said it was a new record, I think 9760 or so? I'm sure the official number is out there somewhere
5/26/2015 11:59:27 AM
I don't remember what they said it was, but it was pretty damn full.
5/26/2015 12:10:12 PM
The attendance on Sunday was an ACC Championship game record, previous record was set by UNC/VT in 2013.The State/UNC game from that tourney is still the all-time highest attended game.Saw that Stony Brook is 2-8 against Top 100 RPI teams. Should be able to save Brown for Saturday and throw Wilder or Williamson (Wilder more likely) against Stony Brook. Problem is that's what got us in Myrtle Beach when we started Tzamtzis against them, but also couldn't hit water falling out of a boat. Will be interested to see Foxhall's mentality when it comes to Regional pitching. In other Dallas-Fort Worth news, there's a sinkhole at the airport. http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Sinkhole-Reported-at-Dallas-Fort-Worth-International-Airport-304994481.html[Edited on May 26, 2015 at 12:18 PM. Road trip to Ft. Worth for the weekend.
5/26/2015 10:36:15 PM
Crowd report - no beer was sold, went to Tobacco Road for beer and AC
5/26/2015 10:50:05 PM
Curt Britt will start against Stony Brook.
5/27/2015 2:05:58 PM
I like the move to go with Britt to open Game 1. Losing the first game obviously sets you behind the curve, but other than Brown our best/most consistent pitching is the BP.
5/27/2015 2:10:43 PM
Like not starting Wilder because we have to make Stony Brook beat us with their bats, not by putting guys on base by giving them a bunch of free passes. If we win Friday with Britt and Saturday with Brown, that gives us a chance to start Wilder on Sunday hoping that he has his good stuff and knowing that we only need to win one of two. Still might have preferred Piedmonte on Friday since Britt seems more comfortable coming out of the pen, but think it had to be one of them.By the way, game is at 3:30 eastern Friday. Apparently someone botched the initial announcement.
5/27/2015 2:37:24 PM
I'm going to be at white lake with shitty cell service this weekend and no wifi so it's going to be hard to keep up with the games. First World ProblemsBut the last time I was at White Lake and we were in the tourney, we beat Rice in the Super Regional. So there's that.
5/27/2015 3:31:46 PM
Gotta win the first two to have a realistic chance. I like my chances with a starter other than Brown against Stony Brook much better than I like them against TCU on Saturday. How I would play it: Britt and Brown on Friday and Saturday. Wilder in the Sunday game with less pressure. Piedmonte in the do or die game on Monday.[Edited on May 27, 2015 at 3:54 PM. Reason : .]
5/27/2015 3:53:34 PM
Yep. Hopefully Williamson will be riding some confidence after the Virginia performance and be good to go out of the pen.
5/27/2015 5:27:41 PM
Williamson is the kind of guy who can win you a regional. Arms start to get stretched around Sunday and definitely on Monday. Always good to have that solid mid-week/long relief guy who can put it over the plate and work some innings. We have held our own in Friday games against other teams' best ones almost exclusively due to our bullpen. Now that the guys are hitting, I think we could give TCU all they want on Saturday.

5/28/2015 11:06:26 AM
Does only one team move on?
5/28/2015 11:13:05 AM
correct. 16 regional winners move on to a best of 3 Super Regional, those 8 teams then advance to Omaha.
5/28/2015 11:16:25 AM
I was really happy with the outing Williamson gave us against UVA, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Before that game, he's had some really shaky outings.
5/28/2015 11:24:17 AM
Do we have any idea of who we would potentially play if we move on to the 16?
5/28/2015 11:31:03 AM
winner of the Texas A&M regional (which also includes Coastal, Cal, Texas Southern)
5/28/2015 11:35:35 AM
@spencerI agree. All I was saying is a player in his role could pay off huge for a team. I didn't mean to indicate we could count on Williamson to do that. [Edited on May 28, 2015 at 12:53 PM. Reason : .]
5/28/2015 12:51:34 PM
Apparently there was some confusion earlier in the week, so just to make sure everyone knows, we play at 3:30 ET today. ESPN does have that Bases Loaded channel, but it won't be dedicated to a specific game. ESPN3 of course will carry our game.
5/29/2015 8:13:24 AM
Gameday! Go Pack!!!
5/29/2015 8:36:03 AM

5/29/2015 3:37:37 PM
I can't find it on the Watch ESPN/3 thing...can anyone see it?
5/29/2015 3:40:40 PM
Working for me.
5/29/2015 3:47:01 PM
I've got the Amazon Fire stick espn app...so maybe its limited.found it...its not listed on the ESPN3 games, you have to go through the featured and then live section.[Edited on May 29, 2015 at 3:54 PM. Reason : amazon]
5/29/2015 3:51:35 PM
yeah it was just like the 10th game or so on the list when I went to find it.Britt scared me a little by letting that guy steal 2nd when he should have already had him picked off, but no harm done. Need him to be more efficient than that today though, so he can go deep into the game.^ if it lets you search by sport, try that first. sometimes that's the only way I can find stuff (on Roku)[Edited on May 29, 2015 at 3:52 PM.
