I thought that there was a scene where Patti saw a duck on the back of a card before Kevin had a chance to see it.

The guy on the tower in the town square saw her tooWait, for the grandpa, I thought he did NOT guess, I thought Kevin told him everything that night [Edited on December 19, 2015 at 11:27 AM. Reason : A]

Trailer for season three (which I believe they've said will be the final season) https://youtu.be/qj1tpBYiHnUI think season 2 was fucking fantastic, I'm very much looking forward to this, and since they know it's ending, hopefully they won't end it in an infuriating way
1/29/2017 5:10:05 PM
yes it is the last season (as it says in the trailer you posted )

Interesting / confusing first episode. I'll be happy to have something to watch on Sunday until GoT starts back up.
4/17/2017 2:24:10 PM
I absolutely fucking love this show, thought the premier was fantastic
4/17/2017 6:30:17 PM
wtf I had no idea it was starting last night. My DVR auto record has failed me!
4/17/2017 7:34:23 PM
^^ that's how I feel too. It is probably my favorite show that has come on with the exception of True Detective season 1
4/17/2017 11:35:02 PM
so glad it's back...needs more Pixies
4/18/2017 9:20:01 AM
What do the Millerites have to do with it?
4/20/2017 12:40:53 AM
^What does a religious group that whole heartedly believed the second coming of Christ would be coming on a specific date have to do with a show where a religious group believes something major will be happening on a specific date and Kevin is some sort of Christ like figure? I don't know, there seems to be zero connection.
4/20/2017 7:16:31 AM
Did I maybe read somewhere that this is the last season?I was thinking maybe they were starting a trend with the season opener being something in the past that somehow related to what was going on. They started Season 2 with that long sequence of the cave woman, but never really addressed it again or related it to the rest of the season. At least the 1800s family thing has a clear connection.
4/20/2017 11:44:06 AM
I was under the impression that the cave woman scene from season two was set in prehistoric Miracle, Texas.
4/20/2017 12:58:49 PM
^^ Yes, this is the final season.
4/20/2017 1:43:59 PM
Any theories on what that closing scene was? That looked like it was an old Nora right?
4/21/2017 7:09:37 AM
Yeah, seemed like a flash forward to me
4/21/2017 7:28:47 AM
Yep, definitely old Nora. Given that she said she the name "Kevin" didn't mean anything to her and her general demeanor, it leads me to believe that maybe a second departure is going to happen, taking Kevin and the other people she loves.
4/23/2017 3:55:15 PM
Boring
4/23/2017 11:36:51 PM
loved the new theme song
4/24/2017 9:07:15 PM
^^i didn't think it was boring at all^i agree, but you do realize that was the theme song to perfect strangers, right?
4/24/2017 9:48:29 PM
She got the wrong Kevinkinda like HBO got the wrong show to decide to make
5/2/2017 11:48:16 AM
I'm going to finish the series and was a big fan of the first couple of seasons but they need to find some action or antagonist or something quickly. These have been some really long, drawn out episodes[Edited on May 4, 2017 at 10:41 AM. Reason : .]
5/4/2017 10:40:44 AM
^^^well yeah
5/4/2017 10:53:25 AM
I guess they are doing a different theme song every week, I didn't really care for the last one, kinda wish they would have just stuck with perfect strangers for the whole season, I really enjoyed the way it worked.
5/4/2017 11:13:58 AM
5/4/2017 2:06:18 PM
^ same. thought the last was super boring.
5/4/2017 2:20:55 PM
I bet they will just have a few more boring episodes and then the series is over. No way could they be setting things up.
5/4/2017 4:17:29 PM
I went in the refrigerator looking for leftovers and that was more exciting than this show
5/6/2017 8:36:57 AM
You should clean out your stank ass fridge then.
5/6/2017 12:48:26 PM
Hahaha, fuck this showGod just became part of the circle of life
5/14/2017 10:13:30 PM
Damn. That lion attack thing was obvious when you saw the bolt cutters but it still somehow managed to catch me off guard. So did Matt actually think that the guy was god?[Edited on May 15, 2017 at 10:05 AM. Reason : ]
5/15/2017 10:04:44 AM
I don't think so. But now I'm beginning to think Kevin may not be crazy since that guy was in his dead/dream sequence with the rope and karaoke stuff.
5/15/2017 11:43:44 AM
Haven't watched last night's episode yet...but I think this season has been awesome so far.
5/15/2017 11:53:00 AM
I feel like these 2 non-Kevin centric episodes, while not bad at all, were not quite as good, but they both fucking killed it with the last lines"You just had the wrong Kevin" and "That's the guy I was telling you about" they were great
5/16/2017 5:58:32 PM
That last episode was batshit. I still like last season's Matt episode. That's probably my all time favorite.
5/17/2017 8:13:38 AM
Only one more and it's over, all he has to do is resolve the Nora story line now, it looks like he destroyed purgatory
5/29/2017 10:15:28 AM
What a solid series finale. I am really going to miss this show.
6/5/2017 9:29:55 AM
So who thinks Nora was full of shit?I can't decide but I want to believe that she was telling the truth. Seems more satisfying to me that way.
6/5/2017 11:33:09 AM
The only thing I can think of about her story maybe being made up is that she clearly wasn't the first person to go through the machine. Other people had to have had similar situations where they finally find their loved one(s) that departed, only to find that they have moved on and remarried/had a new family/etc. and wanted to return. I'd think that they would seek out the physicist who invented it and return, way before Nora did. Hell, the physicist himself would probably want to come back just to be like "hey, it worked".
6/5/2017 11:48:28 AM
did they ever explain what happened?
6/5/2017 1:50:27 PM
^^this. I was on board with the story as it was a nice build to the meeting her family/new girlfriend, but when she pivoted about how she got back and the Dr having built the machine, etc, I thought "they are jumping the shark here....". You know, in leftovers sense....Also, that conservation she had with the lying nun was telling. Why build that scene in about her lying about the ladder guy and Nora/Sarah's firm reaction to her cover up. "Makes for a nicer story" I figured that sort of sealed it for Nora to go and feed the lie to Kevin. Ultimately, it didn't matter to Kevin. He needed that lie.Man, what a show...[Edited on June 5, 2017 at 1:55 PM. Reason : ^]
6/5/2017 1:54:44 PM
^^It was only told as a story by Nora, but never revealed if the story was true. She was sent to wherever everyone departed to. It was exactly like our Earth except over there, from their point of view, everyone on Earth 1 departed. I think in season 1 it said something like 4% of the world's population departed, so on Earth 2, that 4% lived without the other 96% of the world. The show never explained how or why the departure occurred.Anyway, eventually she tracked down her old family. Her kids were teenagers and her husband had remarried. They were happy without her, which understandably messed her up emotionally, so she tracked down the physicist who invented the machine and had him build a second one to send her back.
6/5/2017 2:13:06 PM
I have a difficult time believing that story. Just from a infrastructure/technology view it would be impossible to have the world run like normal with only 2% of the population. Especially not in a small town like Mapleton. It sounded to me like she was trying to explain away the last few years of her life. I think she was too scared to do it for a variety of reasons (perhaps one was the explanation she gave for "coming back") and she effectively hid from the world to hide her shame.
6/5/2017 5:19:22 PM
I was satisfied with the finale. Overall great show, I'm glad they didn't try to stretch it on too long. Season 2 by far the best in my opinion, but I really liked them all.[Edited on June 5, 2017 at 7:03 PM. Reason : $$$]
6/5/2017 7:01:58 PM
Someone on reddit pointed out that in Nora's alternate universe thing that Laurie would have disappeared and a fetus would have just been left on the table.
6/5/2017 7:22:58 PM
^haha yeah, I was think of that too when she told the story
6/5/2017 7:23:59 PM
What the hell was that shit?So they went to a parallel dimension, but Nora was the only one to come back. What is the signifcance of the cavewoman's baby in ancient Jarden? What about the millerites? And what about the strange purgatory that you could escape from?I guess we will never know. The concept was great, the story they told out of it, not so much.
