8 apoplectic overhead highway shots per minute.

^^GoT still reigns supreme, but this is the best thing on television at the moment.
7/10/2015 2:10:57 PM
last episode was a snooze fest. i could not care less about Frank's goings on.the attempt to be Lynchian at the beginning made me feel physically embarrassed for the show.maybe i was in a bad mood i'll probably binge eventually and like it more.[Edited on July 10, 2015 at 8:38 PM. Reason : .]
7/10/2015 8:37:54 PM
I thought the last episode was the best so far. This still had nothing on season one, but it is still good tv
7/10/2015 10:50:54 PM
Im starting to thing they will tie all the cops in somehow dealing with their ghosts and demons and it all comes down to them and Vince's character as well. It's been a good show so far...not sure i like having so many characters to follow compared to season 1..but hopefully it picks up the pace this episode.
7/12/2015 4:07:35 PM
The only thing I'm not liking so far is it's only 8 episodes.
7/12/2015 7:03:12 PM
DamnIt's about to get real good. Similar reaction after the forth episode of S1[Edited on July 12, 2015 at 10:09 PM. Reason : A]
7/12/2015 10:09:12 PM
You people trying to be contrarians? It's been astonishingly bad so far.
7/13/2015 2:17:43 AM
Pretty bad but I'm going to watch.
7/13/2015 7:31:46 AM
7/13/2015 8:49:44 AM
This show is directed beautifully. Everything about it is cool. The lighting and sets are all awesome. I really love the booth in that seedy bar where there is always live music in the background. The shit hit the fan last night tho Also, this is the most range I've ever seen from Vince Vaughn. He's killing this role and shattering that typecast he's had for years now.
7/13/2015 9:30:33 AM
I hate shitting on people for enjoying art I hate, so praise away. Hopefully it continues the positive momentum of the last 20 minutes of episode 4.(That said I'm saving that Vaughn quote, Ribs )[Edited on July 13, 2015 at 10:34 AM. Reason : S]
7/13/2015 10:30:13 AM
I don't get all the crazy hate I've been seeing for this. The plot hasn't been very clear so far, but that hasn't completely ruined the show - its just made it hard to follow at points. My biggest complaint through 4 episodes is Vince Vaughn's character. I don't think Vaughn has done a bad job, I just think his character is pretty terribly written and the worst of the 4 major characters this season.
7/13/2015 10:58:05 AM
I actually think Vaughn's character is pretty good. He is devolving. he was one deal away from being 'totally legit', and now he is back in the pits. I think this season is definitely a great season, but they have overdone some things...That singer at the bar. Sheesh. I am ready for someone to say "Is she always this way?"
7/13/2015 2:30:56 PM
This is my least favorite band
7/13/2015 4:56:40 PM
SPOILER ALERT:She's going to play Wonderwall in the last episode.
7/13/2015 7:51:28 PM
Everyone's cool with her being the only music because the last guy was the one doing the show's intro and they don't want to risk going back to that shit again. ^^^ I love the way Vaughn is devolving.[Edited on July 13, 2015 at 8:25 PM. Reason : ]
7/13/2015 8:24:18 PM
After watching the latest episode...starting to think this all revolves around the land and those blue diamonds that were found in the safe deposit box.Vince got pushed out because someone else wants the land for the diamonds...someone with more connections and power...Vinci perhaps?
7/15/2015 6:13:40 PM
I've watched the episodes and only falling asleep a few minutes in each episode and I have no idea what is going on this season.
7/16/2015 2:14:04 AM
Agreed. Having a hard time following a lot of what is going on so far.So did the state trooper actually have sex with that other guy or did he just crash at his place?
7/16/2015 9:15:48 AM
i'm very close to just giving up on this season
7/16/2015 9:18:55 AM
I don't know what's worse, the writing or the acting.
7/16/2015 10:56:03 AM
I'm not sure what you guys are watching. This season has been great so far.
7/16/2015 11:30:19 AM
7/16/2015 11:37:42 AM
I by no means will stop watching. These last episodes hopefully lean more on Farrell and McAdams. You couldn't convince me at gunpoint that Vaughn hasn't been terrible.
7/16/2015 12:12:30 PM
I find myself hitting the "Info" button on the remote quite often, wondering how much is left
7/19/2015 3:28:11 PM
Much better tonight.... except for "in this economy?" Haha.Hoping Vince's wife gets offed soon so we don't have to suffer their scenes together anymore...kills the momentum each time. Would be cool if these parties ended up being a west coast carocosa/yellow king deal.
7/20/2015 12:08:15 AM
Every time I see that shrink, I keep thinking Ashley Schaefer.
7/20/2015 10:34:11 AM
^^BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BBBAAAABBBBBYYYYYY. WHAT HAS THIS ALL BEEN FOR?!?!this show has been really hard to follow and I just can't take Vince Vaughn seriously, as much as I wanted him to succeed in a role like this. Rachel McAdams has been incredible - I hope we see her cut some fools before it's all over.
7/20/2015 3:36:57 PM
for me the only reason this season is so confusing is because they go rapid fire on numerous character and location names constantly, but they never really gave you a good enough introduction to the characters for me to be able to remember all their names. Without looking it up i couldn't even tell you any of the main character's names besides Vince Vaughn's. Once i figure out who or where the fuck they are referring to in any given conversation, the actual story isn't hard to follow.
7/20/2015 5:38:09 PM
^In addition, there is the potential upside of catching a glimpse of Rachel Mccadams naked
7/20/2015 7:00:51 PM
I'm a weirdo that likes watching most series using subtitles, often helps with intricate plots .
7/20/2015 7:38:57 PM
The plot pattern is a bit too similar to season 1 for my taste Oh here these bad criminals are the culprits, oh no it actually rich white guys having sex and torture parties, let's investigate outside authority Still on board though
7/20/2015 10:44:15 PM
I rewatched episode 1 of season 1 and it would have sucked without Woody Harrelson. He anchored the whole thing.
7/22/2015 9:16:42 AM
Oh, okay. Thanks
7/22/2015 10:16:01 AM
The line--blue balls in your heart is picking up steam as the defining moment of the season.[Edited on July 22, 2015 at 11:08 AM. Reason : Vince]
7/22/2015 11:07:11 AM
I actually watch intricately detailed shows with subtitles too..maybe it comes with age?Anyways, this season sucks compared to 1...too much dialogue and not enough action.Everyone said this past episode was good but...the teeth knockin was the only good part.More action, less talking...bring back the weird and crazy.
7/22/2015 8:14:57 PM
7/23/2015 12:40:39 AM
^^^lol yeah I noticed that too. I've seen a number is articles about the ridiculous lines in this show. "We don't have the bandwidth for that" was another one that made me bust out laughing.[Edited on July 23, 2015 at 7:11 AM. Reason : http://www.vh1.com/news/39345/true-detective-season-2-worst-lines/]
7/23/2015 7:06:52 AM
I may be misremembering the context but bandwidth is used that way at my job all the time
7/23/2015 12:10:31 PM
Yeah, Bandwidth is certified business jargon these days.
7/23/2015 2:58:24 PM
I have a family member who uses that term. I roll my eyes every time I hear it.
7/23/2015 3:13:05 PM
Yea but my point was it doesn't fit the "real people don't talk that way" criticism
7/23/2015 3:29:18 PM
You don't talk jargon, it talks you
7/23/2015 5:14:17 PM
Bandwidth is used like that a lot where I work. And I know I am a complete True Detective homer but I enjoy a lot of the interesting lines they throw out this season. One of my favorites was the last episode when Ray is talking to Ani at the dive bar and says something along the lines of, "It was good to see you, I didn't realize how much you had been on my mind"
7/24/2015 9:35:23 AM
^yup, I actually quoted that line many many times yesterday. There's some very creative dialogue though.
7/24/2015 8:46:58 PM
Look, if you're the"bandwidth" guy at work describing your availability for a conference call, I get it. It's your work phrase. You might also say "let's huddle up", for example. And that's cool. Every job needs those guys. But if you're trying to pass as a believable character in a drama, describing you're emotional investment in a topic such as adoption, I'm just gonna say it sounds laughable to use the word "bandwidth" there. That's all I'm sayin.
