I'm sure the BOG will have an emergency meeting first thing tomorrow to crucify the entire athletic department for that.
7/9/2013 9:40:30 PM
"Will this affect recruiting?"
7/9/2013 9:42:16 PM
oh shit, UNC just got the death penalty with that, hahahahah!
7/9/2013 9:51:17 PM
This gem from PP:
7/9/2013 9:54:28 PM
Desmond Hubert violated the spirit of the law
7/9/2013 10:09:29 PM
Guys, come on. UNC clearly does not have any systemic issues within its compliance department. All you Wuffies just have nothing better to do with your time.John Blake steering his players to his agent friend and business partner was just one rogue coach. And all those football players accepting benefits were just a few bad apples. And seriously, what university can keep a professor from giving players grades for non-existant classes? Clearly the professor is the only one at fault. And that tutor writing papers for players, she's been fired. Nothing to see here. This Fats guy says he has nothing to do with UNC basketball players. A man's word is good enough for me. Let's move on. I mean even if he did loan a few players some rental cars, who here wasn't loaned a luxury vehicle that costs thousands of dollars to rent from a random adult acquaintance while they were in college. What's the big deal? It's completely obvious these are all like individual instances that do not point to a larger problem. I don't get what the big deal is.

speaking of state athletes' cars, I remember Anthony Grundy drove an old minivan.
7/9/2013 10:13:46 PM
Hahaha the Hubert stuff is perfect. How have they not already deleted their Twitters? And the shoe stuff on top of it all?

THIS THREAD IS SO AWESOME
7/9/2013 10:45:40 PM
I guess the question is, is it stupid to break the rules if you know you won't be punished for it?
7/9/2013 10:49:15 PM
There is a huge contrast between what State and UNC players tweet
7/9/2013 10:52:42 PM
I'm not a sneaker fanatic, but them joints that Brice Johnson tweeted are pretty fresh
7/9/2013 10:53:29 PM
Looks like the tags on the black Camaro are temp tags from NJ. And Hubert is from NJ. Looks like that might be the only legit one. But he also got a parking ticket on May 28 in it.
7/9/2013 11:04:08 PM
lol broke but got a brand new camaro
7/9/2013 11:08:13 PM
^Let me rephrase that. It looks like its the only one not tied to Fats.

to be fair, it's hard to grab rebounds when you're camped out at the 3pt line. Ask wood

I tested the waters a bit, and it turns out this is an extremely touchy subject among Chapel Hill fans. I can't bear the uninformed backtalk about State...so I'm never going to mention or discuss this business in mixed company again. I prefer it when people have to go waaay out of their way to reveal their arrogant delusions.^But the crying is the best part. I don't know anything but righteous indignation so this is going to be incredible![Edited on July 10, 2013 at 1:17 AM. Reason : They really should expand the definition of "mixed company."]
7/10/2013 12:48:29 AM
The shoes thing.... Frankly that *could* be nothing. Broke ass mother fuckers in highschool, with no talent, bought shoes like it was their job, and would sell them. Obviously as long as they bought and sold them at fair market value, and werent gifts and the like. Its worth looking into, but I wouldn't act like its going to bring down a ban hammer.
