exactly...the ACC only gives a trophy for winning the tourney, but teams generally hang their own unofficial banners for winning 'the regular season'

It should be a real accomplishment. It's retarded that a 16 (now 18) game season doesn't mean anything but a three (now four) day tournament does.

Regular season champs should always have been recognized.

I know the Big East is a failing entity (only because of football though) but they always officially recognized winners.

I guess with unbalanced schedules now it doesn't mean AS MUCH as before but still.

we do recognize regular season championships here at state, look up in the rafters at the banners the next time you are in the PNC, we have won the regular season title, they hang a banner, regardless of whether or not we won the tourney in the same season. if we happened to win both, they put both on the same banner
