5/28/2013 3:48:25 PM
is it just me or did Spotify get rid of the "New Releases" and "What's New" tab?
5/30/2013 10:18:58 AM
I actually just noticed today that they haven't updated the "New releases" playlist since February.
5/30/2013 10:21:13 AM
I know I post about Disclosure a lot, but fuck it. new album is so good. 11 of the 13 songs could be singles, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them even got radio playhttp://stereogum.com/1367911/disclosure-help-me-lose-my-mind-feat-london-grammar/mp3s/ might be one of my favorites. vocals are great.
5/30/2013 10:56:55 AM
Fuck spotify for getting rid of What's New. this discovery page doesnt do shit for me.
5/30/2013 10:59:25 AM
Dillinger tonight at Cat's Cradle. Cannot wait. There are not that many bands I get really excited to see these days but I've seen them twice (2003, 2009) and both times were absolutely awesome. The set lists from the past few shows have been incredible too.New record is still a little uneven for me. It's good and has some really great songs but not as consistent start to finish as their last album.[Edited on May 30, 2013 at 12:32 PM. Reason : ]

6/10/2013 3:12:04 PM
digging the new surfer blood. nothing mind blowing but solid
6/10/2013 3:40:53 PM
Yeah, if anything they took a step backward from their first album in terms of ambition, but it's simply ten really good pop songs.
6/10/2013 3:41:48 PM
^^^ What album with a big debut doesn't have a big drop in the second week these days? The average consumer rarely buys music.
6/10/2013 3:57:31 PM
i know, just bored and trollin'
6/10/2013 4:04:56 PM
man what a stupid fucking article
6/10/2013 4:33:22 PM
Friendly reminder about the nature of record sales: the top-selling album of 2012 was also the top-selling album of 2011.
6/10/2013 4:45:02 PM
the new surfer blood album would be better if every track didn't remind me of domestic abuse
6/10/2013 6:16:05 PM
FWIW, new Jason Isbell solo album out today.

gonna have to give it a few more listens, but I'm not a fan of Yeezus, and I love Kanye.Hell, I like J.Cole's Born Sinner more than Yeezus after the first listen
6/18/2013 9:16:46 AM
it's a growerand once it grows/clicks, look the hell out, because it'll be all you want to listen to
6/18/2013 9:44:26 AM
I expect it to be, I wasnt a fan of Watch the Throne when it came out, but I love it now.maybe if I was in a worse place in my life I would like Yeezus more? haha, the album is dark
6/18/2013 9:49:19 AM
idk, yeezus clicked with me kind of from the get-go. i wouldn't label it as a grower since the ambition inherent in a megasuperstar like kanye fusing about 732 different genres into one cohesive sound isn't exactly subtle, haha. it's tempting but probably lazy to call it his Kid A, but it has that same artistic spirit of wanting to completely start over with a new sound despite already achieving huge levels of success. i don't know how the fuck he managed to make an album that was influenced in equal parts by the industrial rock of Nine Inch Nails, the sound collages of The Avalanches, and the dark paranoia of acid house.[Edited on June 18, 2013 at 1:58 PM.
